  1. Good evening,
  2.
  3. My name is [my name], and I am on a personal quest for the interest of game preservation. I grew up playing the Roller Coaster Tycoon series, and am currently in the RCT Community on Reddit. It's come to my attention that there are two "lost" files from the early days of Roller Coaster Tycoon, which were packs of unused content that were ultimately cut from the expansion "Corkscrew Follies". The files are called "atwoodie.zip" and "thorpe2002.zip", and were once available for download in 2002 on John Wardley's personal site (a world-class Roller Coaster designer who helped with designs in the games). The files themselves were password protected, and marked for "internal use only", meaning access was only given to those working in production. These files have long since been lost, with no trace to be found on the Internet, and I have gone as far as contacting John Wardley directly, and even he no longer has the files.

  5. So, I am humbly asking ["you" or company] to check around in archives to see if these still files exist. Even in password protected form, they would be of great use and would be a great piece of lost history in the spirit of game preservation. If this email is in the wrong place, please forward it to the appropriate location.

  7. Deeply grateful,
  8. [my name]
