  5. The Tovin are a humanoid race, typically rather small and with an average intelligence measured higher than seventy percent of other races. Hair is often transparent, like threads of glass - but is still flexible, though it feels more 'synthetic' than human hair etc. Eyes are always black sclera, with faint luminescence. Colors are almost always bright, green, blue, violet, orange, et cetera. Hair can glow the same color, they can control it. They often have features described as cute for the women and effeminate for the men, compared to other species at least. Generally, they have carreers in tech, and their culture is incredibly tech obsessed. Generally, they are physically aveerage for their size. Tovin are not immune to the plague, also known as the Toi Plague, named for Dr. Hantro Toi who first began research on it when it appeared.

  10. Humanoid beings, reptilian, generally with very reptilian heads and faces. Speech is difficult for them, generally they would use speech implants or speak in small, simple phrases. This can be betraying as their intelligence is average in comparison to all other species. Generally scales are muddy green or brown, sometimes black-ish. Eyes are most often yellow-green, but can be brown or black flecked with green. Psionic abilities are not common among raik, but they make up for it with immense physical strength. Average height of seven foot two. Scales are durable, fire resistant, and stab resistant. The Raik, when they do have psionic powers, very rarely... tend to be pyromancers of wild strength, but with little control. They are a part of the Universal Collective of Core Governments.

  15. Shav are far more humanoid reptilians, with a high incidence of psionic power but comparatively average strength of said power, and average physical strength. Unlike the Raik, they are not particularly large - standing little more than six feet tall on average. They have scales that integrate a biologically generated carbon fiber that are extremely protective, but their physical strength is at best average, in most cases. Females larger than the males. Scale color gray to black. Eyes are dark green, dark blue, or dark violet. Reptilian eyes. Generally considered sneaky, take well to stealth ops due to slightly above average speed and flexibility. Most often they are telekinetic, or able to enhance their own speed with their psionic powers - though there are reasonable incidences of luxomancy. This is the power to bend and control light, to an extent, allowing invisibility in some cases. They are part of the Universal Collective of Core Governments.

  20. The Noki are a strange race, focused heavily on aesthetic beauty in their controlled territory. From their ships to their genetics, they try to strictly adhere to their own personal ideals of beauty. Genreally, they are tall and lean, with all implants and surgical things done in impractical ways that render them invisible but often less efficient. Their desire for beauty is such that they engage if genetic modification that most people find offensive and disgusting, altering their children to fit their mould. Generally, they are not allowed outside of their own territories, as they are openly hostile to nearly everyone, simply because they are 'ugly.' This would be a problem, if they weren't trask crystal rich and in possession of an incredible space navy. They have a relatively low incidence of psionic power, but their power when they do have it is generally very strong. Their Psions are required, by law, to look different - though of course, they still adhere to their idea of beauty. Skin is generally ice white, or a smooth gray. Eye colors are, in the limited range, an extremely specific blue, an extremely specific green, or an extremely specific violet. They are part of the Noki Collective and have trade agreements with the Universal Collective of Core Governments but not the Ancient Walkers or the Logis Eternal.

  23. Nokivari

  25. The Nokivari are technically Noki - or they were, a long time ago. During a great war with the Shav, almost one hundred thousand Noki defected from the Noki Collective to the Shav-Raik alliance. Their sharing of Noki technologies almost turned the tide of the war, but a secretly developed and highly powerful weapon resulted in a stalemate that left the universe worried about the possible future threat of the Noki. The Nokivari refugees were then allowed to live on Shallus in the Raik controlled Valk system. For nearly six centuries, they developed without the genetic modifications, save for the number of Nokivari who interbred with the Shav, via scientific intervention approved by the Shav government. This resulted in breakdowns of diplomatic relations between the Shav and the Raik. While they did not go to war, they no longer considered themselves hardcore allies. The Nokivari, as a result, have a thicker skin than the Noki, and instead of beauty are almost obsessed with utility. As talented engineers, they are one of the greatest allies of the Shav, with an extreme low incidence of psionic power but extreme high psionic strength focused primarily on electromancy. They were major proponents of the Shav joining the Universal Collective, a major gathering of races and controlled territories.

  31. The Walvak are the third reptilian species, though they are a far cry from the others. Lacking scales, they instead live underwater primarily, and cannot handle dry climates. The vast majority of their economy is based on the raising and corralling of fish, as well as production of valuable medicines from plants that grow almost exclusively on their controlled worlds. They've taken great pains, even since joining the Universal Collective, to keep these specialized plants hidden from others in government controlled zones. They will absolutely kill any thief attempting to steal from them, and due to the necessity of these medicines for most modern technologies, surgeries and implants and all, the Universal Collective is willing to allow them to handle their own problems as they wish. Being an amphibious species, they are able to handle being out of the water just fine, though dry air is a problem, and hydration is a necessity. Their ships tend to be bizarre, with heavily shielded living quarters chambers that are most often filled with water, extremely high humidity, and so on. They tend to be rather hearty beaings, aside their obvious weaknesses to fire, with mildly uncommon psionic powers but those powers tending towards thermomancy.

  37. It is hard to talk about the Wesk without discussing the War between the Wesk Horde and the Salvakan Empire. The Wesk are an insectoid species, and for a very long period were isolated from the rest of the universe by simple distance. However, when they began to explore the universe and colonize other planets, they discovered the other races and out of a cultural fear of aliens born from ancient legends, they were actively hostile. Despite having primitive technologies, they had excellent tactics and a deeply cultural willingness to die for their cause. In time, the insectoid Wesk became peaceful with the Salvakans, and ultimately became a close ally of them. The Salvakan Allies are not a governmental union, but rather a group of independent interplanetary nations that have open borders and many free trade agreements. An attack on one is an attack on all. The Wesk are typically mostly humanoid in terms of torso and arm, though they bear an extra set of arms that are bladed. Their exoskeletons are often modified to resist gun or plasma fire. With a moderate incidence of telekinetic power, these beings souls are often focused on body enhancement - specifically strength and speed enhancement with psionic power. They are considered the insectiod berserkers of the universe. Their colors are often gray-green, brighter green, or in rare cases an iridescent blue. Their eyes are black, and there are four of them. They have a centaur like insect lower half, and reproduce by egg laying and external fertilization. Intelligence is average or above average, comparatively. Size is approximately eight feet in height.

  42. The Orava are the most 'human' of the humanoid species. They are, in fact, more 'human' than Salvakan, even. They stand at an average of six feet tall and have deep red skin. The Salvakan jokingly call them demons, because of their naturally occurring short horns, and the black sclera with often red or bright yellow irises. Despite this joke, they're actually a rather peaceful species, resisting combat whenever possible and often preferring less than lethal solutions to problems. This often leads foes to mistake them, as they will absolutely defend their lives with violence if it is necessary. They have a high incidence of psionic ability, with relatively average power but the occasional 'super power' and the range of powers they can make use of is extremely varied. They often take to eye color modifications, dying their hair, which is usually plain black, and other simple cosmetic genomods. They are part of the Salvakan allies, making up another part of the group that controls a huge quantity of space with an allied navy.

  47. The zan are an interesting group. Speaking purely of their biology, they appear to be quadrupedal creatures that developed impressive levels of sentience. Over time, they began to have a higher and higher incidence of psionic power, exclusively telekinesis. As their intelligence grew, so did their society and culture, until the quadrupedal beings were functioning primarily with telekinetic power to manipulate the world around them. That said, they consider themselves a companion race, often travelling with another bipedal creature. Their discovery by the Salvakan Empire in the early days of the Salvakan Expansion led to the Salvakan occupying their homeworld in a takeover that the Zan were at that point rather grateful for. The nomadic salvakan were able to more readily construct complex housing and devices. Quality of life rose dramatically. Commonly, the Zan are companion creatures to Orava, Nokivara, Salvakan and Raik beings, as they don't seem to care who their friends are, as long as they are true, loyal friends. In apperaance, a Zan is much larger than an Earth wolf, nearly three times the size of the largest of Earth Wolves. They seem to be reptilian in appearance, with low swept bodies, flexible limbs, spread toed feet with long, useful clawed toes, and so on. However, despite the reptilian appearance of their bodies, they are furred creatures - bearing a strange kind of fur that is extremely soft, generally quite short, save for down their backs, around their necks, and along the lengths of their almost snakelike tails. Generally, they are black, with some kind of either bright metallic colored striping in red, gold, blue, etc... or they are a solid color of a more normal type. Facial markings are common and wildly varied, generally giving a rather fearsome appearance. Their hide is rather thick and durable, and their telekinetic abilites make them fearsome foes. Speech is typically done either by implanted voice synthesizers, or synthesizer collar. Eye colors vary wildly.

  50. Vanral and Lossen

  54. The Vanral are grouped together with the Lossen because they control a fairly large number of star systems in unity with each other. The Vanral are primarily humanoid entities with bizarre bodily constructions, compared to others. Being highly physical and bearing a moderate incidence of Psionic power with the primary focus of their power being physical enhancement, strength and speed mostly, they are focused on being a warrior race, the enforcer half of the Vanral-Lossen Alliance. They are, however, very often capable of generating incredible psionic shields. The Vanal are called 'primarily' humanoid because, from the waist up, they are. From the waist down, they are snakes. Basically, they're Lamia. Being impressively large in size and bearing heavily armoring scales, they have limited flexibility and require special accomidations on most ships. However, they have quality reflexes and are known to be excellent pilots. They breed by internal fertilization of an egg that is then laid after a short internal gestation. Scales cover their entire body, head to toe. Hair is nonexistent, but they are known to have spines from time to time, that are usually blunted and chemically softened depending on preference, and can be dyed an array of colors. Scale colors vary wildly. Males are more colorful, larger in size.

  58. The Vanral and the Lossen developed on what is most easily called twin planets, and they are two separate evolutionary paths far removed from each other genetically. It is believed their progenitors spread from one world to another, but it is believed an alien race long since extinct or forgotten to time attempted to conduct an experiment but was killed by the Vanral later on in history, as their planets are covered with ancient ruins. The aliens in question are often referred to as the Oldest, a powerful race of aliens who had their fingers in a lot of pies - so many pies that they seemed to get themselves fairly well killed off in ancient times by a race of aliens opposing their meddling in the lives and worlds of other species. Their ruins can be found on many planets. The Lossen are similar to the Vanral in that they have snakelike lower bodies. Their scales, however, are significantly smaller in size and less protective, and they do not cover their entire body. The torsos are not covered by the scales. They are much smaller than the Vanral, with much more nimble, dextrous fingers and a lower incidence of psionic power - but when they do have power, it focuses on highly focused electro and pyromancy, occasionally luxomancy, and most rarely telekinesis and magnetokinesis. They tend to be the sneakier of the two, and focus more on speed and agiliy, piloting, and other such things. The primary exports of their planets and most controlled zones is their shed scales, as even shed they still offer impressive protection, as well as numerous necessary minerals mined by the Vanral. Their skin tends to be gray, or faintly greenish, though is rarely charcoal black. Eye colors vary wildly.
