Starting Dialogue:

- Introductory: “Oh, hey. You must have just moved in. Don’t mind me, I moved in not too long ago myself… heh.”

- “I’ve been doing my best to tend the land, after… well, after your grandpa died. I needed the change of scenery anyway… uh, sorry.”

- “...” Zora seems to be trembling slightly and staring off into the distance. She makes a noise of acknowledgment but seems otherwise unresponsive.

- “… Yeah, I guess I do keep to myself. Sorry to uh… be a disappointment, I guess.”

-  “Shit… sorry, can it wait a little bit? I appreciate the gesture but I’m not… doing the best today.”

Higher Heart Levels:

- [2+ Hearts] “It’s tougher living out here compared to the city, huh. Have to do a lot more by yourself.”

- [4+ Hearts] “Yeah, heh… maybe I’m a little bit lonely today. Thanks for checking in…”

- [6+ Hearts] “Some days it’s a struggle to get out of bed. To… not backslide. But it’s gotten easier, lately. To do all that, I mean.”

- [Spring] “Are you looking forward to getting started on planting, [name]? It’s lovely weather to start a garden.”

- [Summer] “Man, it’s hot out. Thinking about heading down to the beach today. Life can wait, I want some ice cream and a swim.”

- [Autumn] “Man, I can’t fuckin’ wait until Spirit’s Eve. I have a costume set up and everything. You have any plans?”

- [Winter] “… mmh… sorry, [name]. The cold sucks the energy right out of me. I’m trying, I swear...”

Scenes:

- [2 Hearts; Enter Zora’s Cabin At 6 PM or Later]
The player finds Zora lying in bed. The receiver to a phone is clearly visible, and she’s talking to someone.

“Yes, I’m fine. The shakes are… mostly gone, I guess. Some days they come back. … No! No, you don’t need to come here. There’s a town doctor, I could go to him. … No, swear I haven’t been slipping up… hey. Hey sister? How is Mom doing…? ……. Hello? Sister? Damn it...”

She gets out of bed, and reacts startled to the player’s presence.

“Shit! How- how much of that did you hear… it doesn’t matter, I guess. She likes to… check in every now and again. Were you here to do that too? Thanks, I guess… I’m doing fine. It’s just a rough day… Don’t worry about it.”

When the cutscene ends, the player will be outside her house again.


- [4 Hearts; Return to your farm between the hours of 5 and 7 PM]
This is just the thing with the bats I wrote.


- [6 Hearts; Enter town on a Friday night after 6 PM]
Zora is found leaving Pierre’s, just before he and his family exit the store. A passerby townsfolk asks her if she’s going to be coming to the Saloon tonight, and she begins to look visibly nervous.

“Er… no, I- I mean I know that’s the place to be but I- I’m… busy! I… I need to go to the uh… pudding store. For pudding.”

Once the passerby leaves, she notices the player watching and begins to speak to them.

“Oh, hey [name]… shit, I guess you’re heading to the Saloon too...”
– [Answer “no”] “Really? Good to hear I’m not the only wallflower in town...”
– [Answer “yes”] “Yeah, I thought so… I’ve been trying to avoid it, I guess...”

“Hey, can I ask a question? Between you, me and the notice board… should I just go in? I know if I do, I’ll probably… well… never mind that. But I always feel so… alone out here, on Friday nights. Just watching everyone pile in there...”

– [Answer “You don’t have to if you don’t want to.”] “… Yeah. No, you’re right. They can do that and call me a wallflower if they want to. There’s tons of better things I can be doing. Thanks.” [+100 friendship]
– [Answer “Well, you seem like you need some friends...”] “Sigh… I guess maybe I do. Hope I can keep it together in there...” [-50 friendship]

No matter how the player answers, they will be standing outside Pierre’s when the cutscene ends.
