- >You zoom and dart through the falling debris with precision and speed as you male chase upon the purple flash of light.
- >The ball of light stops midflight and send a large chunk of what used to be a chimney towards you.
- >Instinct forces you to stop and punch the clay and mortar chunk. When the resulting cloud of dust and soot clears, you see a black figure holding Anon within the glowing ball.
- >Wicked laughter echoes within your ear drum as you witness the figure's arm plow through your lover's chest and tear his heart out.
- "NOOOOOOOOO!!!"
- >"Whoa, shit!" you feel the car swerve and the shake as it rolls onto the shoulder.
- >"Sweetness, you alright? Scared the piss out of me when you woke up screaming." Anon states as he runs his fingers through your hair, the action lowering your pulse.
- "Yeah...."
- >With a feeling of worry, you wrap your arms around him and bury your face in his shirt.
- "Just another nightmare, you know how it goes."
- >"When are you gonna start taking those sleeping pills your doctor recommended, Sunset?" Anon chuckles.
- "Never," you sigh. "There's a reason why I have you."
- Moar?
- >Anon laughs and gently pulls you offs of his chest. "Maybe you'd sleep better if we stopped at a hotel, sweetie."
- >The thought of finally being able to lie down on a comfy bed gets to you.
- "About time we made a stop. You swore we would make it back home tonight if we cut through the state of Canterlot, but look! We are not even halfway through Canterlot and it's 10:42 PM."
- >"Hehehe," Anon scratches the back of his head, "Maybe the GPS underestimated the time."
- >You look at Anon like the stupid little shit he's being right now.
- "Maybe? Underestimated? Maybe you should replace that piece of shit iPhone you got and upgrade."
- >You snatch the device from the car mount and dangle it in front of his face for effect.
- >"Hey, hey," Anon snatches it back from your two fingers, "kindly quit your bitching and let me look up hotels nearby, alright?"
- "No, here's my phone and look it up, you got no signal on that brick, anyways."
- >Anon takes your phone and proceeds to search with an exasperated sigh. "I can't believe I got married to the biggest bitch in the university."
- "Awww, I love you, sweetums."
- >You plaster the biggest smile on your face.
- >"Welp, it looks like there's practically only one within 10 minutes away." Anon passes you the phone. "Hotel Canterlot, lakeside resort."
- "That doesn't sound easy on our wallet."
- >"I've already looked through the fees and we can squeeze it in. Nice way to end the honeymoon, right?"
- >You stare at the ring on your finger. Remembering the evening when it first was put on your finger.
- "I guess..."
- >"Aww, quit reminiscing, it has only been one week since then......crybaby."
- >Without a thought, your arm snaps and you punch your husband square in the arm.
- >"OW! What the fuck was that for? I was only playing." Anon retorts with a light shove.
- "Oh! Did that hurt? I didn't feel a thing."
- >The only respone you get is a glare.
- "Yes, let us go to Hotel Canterlot. That way the real crybaby can cry in a nice warm shower instead of his car."
- >Anon eats up your savagery and silently puts the car back in gear and pulls back onto the road towards the resort.
- >Later, in the foyer of Hotel Canterlot:
- >You drop your bag and ring the service bell furiously.
- "Hello? We'd like a room for the night."
- >You hear the muffle sound of clutter hitting the floor in the room behind the desk.
- >"Coming!" A young voice shouts.
- >The door bursts open and what appears to be a teenage boy runs up to the desk. His nametag reads "Spike."
- >Spike stops to straighten his polo shirt and adjust his khakis before logging into the computer on the desk.
- >"Welcome to Hotel Canterlot, the lakeside resort! My name is Spike and how may I assist the two of you tonight?"
- >You look at Anon and smile.
- "Yes, I would like a room for two, please."
- >As Spike is working on the room order, something brews in your head.
- "Actually, make that two separate rooms. One for a single person and one for two."
- >Spike stops and looks at you with clear confusion.
- "One for just my friend and one for me and you, kid."
- >With that, you reach over and run the tips of your fingers across the rim oh his ear and down to his chin.
- "I need someone to keep me company tonight."
- >The teenage boy's eyes widen and his cheeks flush red.
- >"O-oh...I-I am sorry, ma'am, b-but-"
- "But what?"
- >You let your sultry tone sink in.
- >"SPIKE!" a voice booms across the foyer. The source unseen.
- >The clicking of high heels begin to echo through the room as a woman who appears to be just a few years older than you enters the room with a lit candle in her hand.
- >"Spike, I am terribly sorry to disturb you, but I need you to run down hall 12-B help Scruffy out. I'll handle the customers, don't worry. Now, take this candle and go."
