  3. The protest to save the Redwood Grove at Ridge Road and Le Roy Avenue has a lot of support from long time residents, students, faculty and visitors to Berkeley (California). The trees are well admired.

  5. With so much public support, the Ridge Redwood protest is to be a reflective protest. It is a quiet grove, in a quieter part of town. Things to do at the grove: look at the trees; watch birds, and organize a movement to save the trees in a peaceful atmosphere.

  7. The term "peaceful protest" may be a cliche, but the redwood grove is peaceful.

  9. The most immediate action people can take to save the trees is to contact the UC and Berkeley city government and issue support for the redwoods:
