  1. Polytechnous (seen here WIP: http://i.imgur.com/jPhca8P.jpg) is a male gryphon, close to his mid 40s in human years, position in army being an Ekantontarchous (leader of 100) in command of a Tagma (Company size military camp, about 125 in size including reserves and non-combat units, minus slaves). The city state he is part of is that of Lauka (name WIP)
  2.
  3. Varnaskhia (seen here: http://i.imgur.com/Eesu84P.jpg) female rabbit-like...thing, close to her early 30s in human years, position in the army being Slbahpovel, (Warrant officer in command of a Company 150 soldiers in size) part of a Slier (battalion size force, including reserves and support close to 400 in size). The nation she is part of is the Apolytarchi Akathestoi.
  4.
  5. ---
  6.
  7. The scene starts as follows. Polytechnous is sitting inside this building (http://i.imgur.com/NJ2DinN.jpg), he's waiting for Varnaskhia or anybody from the enemy command to come unarmed and discuss Case Yellow.
  8.
  9. Varnaskhia appears through the door, pauses, before slowly walking over Polytechnous, silent all the way through. She reaches him before the table he sits on, before taking a good look at him. He remains relatively unhostile to her.
  10.
  11. ---
  12.
  13. Varnaskhia: You sad little creature. State and violence are one and the same...
  14.
  15. Polytechnous:
  16. Shut it Varnaskhia, I have no time to listen to unbelievers.
  17.
  18. Varnaskhia:
  19. Hard to give up the “good” faith, isn’t it?
  20. Even if we mortals have for thousands of years been working to undo the botched job God left us as with.
  21.
  22. Polytechnous: A, that ferocity; if only I could wail for you as my old heart’s pulse.
  23.
  24. Varnaskhia: Polytechnous, there’s nothing you could have done to rivet me.
  25.
  26. Polytechnous: I could have struck harder.
  27.
  28. Varnaskhia: As if you’d allow me to appease you through complete surrender?
  29.
  30. Polytechnous sighs: I cant believe it, I have made many skilled soldiers,
  31. but good crafted slaves surely i’ve made none.
  32.
  33. Varnaskhia: Polytechnous; there are some things which are impossible, even in war;
  34. you simply can’t produce great souls through the subordination of the individual.
  35.
  36. Polytechnous: That we savage animals can be realized into that level of moral speculation at all is a miracle.
  37.
  38. Varnaskhia: A miracle indeed; I could have had as a slave all the riches of the earth subordinated, but I could not let myself think.
  39.
  40. Polytechnous: The powers should have punished me then..
  41.
  42. Varnaskhia: No, stop saying that, the powers are worthless, you managed to make me conscious when they they wouldn’t. How does that even compare?
  43.
  44. Polytechnous: Varnaskhia, you dumb animal, you don't understand it do you? There is no moral force without the conception of the state and Governments do not maintain themselves through benevolence. Regardless how much I screech against, they maintain themselves through organised obedience, through political, economic or moral force.
  45.
  46. Varnaskhia: Pure force essentially; war through the means of hypocrisy.
  47.
  48. Polytechnous: Either way, the state has a hard heart even if its powers are old but its force that the back of society is built on, and it is my duty to provide that force.
  49.
  50. Varnaskhia shakes her head: Ah, the god that is the state, to appease it you’ve set a political altar maintained for the purposes of sacrifice, as with a religious altar and just as bleak too.
  51. *Varnaskhia shakes her head* Another meeting and another failure and once again you can’t stop grieving, you cant accept this new reality; that the self realized creature in front, Varnaskhia, would by any and all means destroy everything that threatens her freedom,
  52.
  53. Polytechnous: Even me?
  54.
  55. Varnaskhia: Above all, even you. I’ve repeated the same for the last decade, in Arxa, in Cassandri, in Girlita, but regardless how many times I lead you to knowledge I cannot force you to think. You’re absolutely correct, the basis of morality is duty; but duty to keeping alive any despotic tyrant, any god, any king is garbage morality.
  56. No, correct morality stems from combating anything that threatens your instinct of self preservation and self-improvement, and by extension, beyond the individual level to the whole nation; to do whatever seems necessary to stand up to it, up to and including dying.
  57. Are you willing to die for that Polytechnous. You had decade to look back with perfect foresight on your decisions, when will you realize that if the time comes you must be willing, with full responsibility, to kill even me?
  58.
  59. Polytechnous remains emotionless, and doesn't react: …
  60.
  61. Varnaskhia: Polytechnous, listen to me; when you continue blindly picking flowers where thorns have grown, the day will come when you will grieve for both yourself and your foundationless temple.
  62. Varnaskhia sighs:. I guess can't teach old owls new tricks after all.
  63. *Varnaskhia pulls out a bag* But... lets forget that; new troubles now. You’re dealing with case yellow, borders are an issue. Very well. Our conditions are as follows:
  64.
  65. (*You can skip this, burb*)
  66.
  67. No troops will fly beyond IV Vartisa to IV- Arxa,
  68. No troops will proceed beyond South of Valleys AI, AX, BB.
  69. Everything beyond BΓ is no-fly zone.
  70. Everything beyond line VI is a no-fly zone.
  71. 2. No more than twenty armed gryphons and no more than a single supply block will be over any of Apolytarchi territory.
  72. Non-combat personnel is capped at one hundred.
  73. 3.We reserve the right to do the following:
  74. Any troops, combat or otherwise, that are suspected to have committed crimes towards the civilian population or/and the military can be arrested and imprisoned without trial.
  75. Any troops combat or otherwise that have been found to have committed a crime against the civilian population or/and the military will be executed immediately.
  76. Any troops that are found to have any objects or equipment found in Nr. A 4/20 will have their belongings, besides rations, confiscated.
  77.
  78. (*ok stop skipping now*)
  79.
  80. Varnaskhia: On the front, a map, on the back, guidelines.
  81. *Varnaskhia brings in two bags filled with colored flags*: And if you have to go over borders, everybody wears these flags. No respite, its effective as soon as I leave this building.
  82.
  83. *Polytechnous studies all of the items*
  84.
  85. Varnaskhia: In a few days it will be the 8th year since I left. I’ll guess we'll celebrate it as usual. With that, I leave.
  86. *Varnaskhia begins to leave*
  87.
  88. Polytechnous Some would put more effort dying than use their head. Tell me, Varnaskhia, you’ve been waiting for the mild day when I finally think.
  89.
  90. Varnaskhia turns around: Every single breath I’ve taken since I ran away has been for that..
  91.
  92. *Polytechnous smiles and begins to laugh*
  93.
  94. Varnaskhia: Ντε, what do you laugh at?
  95.
  96. Polytechnous: Ντε Ντε infact, your superiors, if I am delighted to call them that, made an mistake.
  97.
  98. Varnaskhia: Go on.
  99.
  100. Polytechnous: An assumption has been questioned; in fact an assumption has been overturned.
  101.
  102. *Varnaskhia nods*
  103.
  104. Polytechnous: The assumption being that we lack complete air rights over the Eastern Oroi and are without the authority to use the land as we see.
  105.
  106. Varnaskhia: …what?
  107.
  108. Polytechnous: Our city state Glauka, along with the Monokeroi Administration have given us complete authority over what I’ve just said. We will proceed with extended operations in the following hours. We have no need of your maps, your flags, your rules, your laws. We have no need of this widespread mental indolence which you attempt to force on us.
  109.
  110. Varnaskhia: I…
  111.
  112. Polytechnous: Article 5 of the Koimition Agreement has given that right, that in case the integrity of the den has been breached, all decision by the Apolytarchi in the Eastern Oroi are to become irrelevant. If needed, both administrations will settle this later in a higher court.
  113.
  114. Varnaskhia: You’re serious, every risk taken?
  115.
  116. Polytechnous: Yes, taken by everybody in the Tagma Agemnon; we will kick against geography and set up forward operations on the mountains of the Eastern Oroi, unrestricted of any degenerate rules.
  117.
  118. Varnaskhia: … and what shall you do then, if you find my Apolytarchi troops barring the way?
  119.
  120. Polytechnous: We shall fight them.
  121.
  122. Polytechnous and Varnaskhia have a stare: …
  123.
  124. Varnaskhia:... *smiles*
  125.
  126. Varnaskhia: In that case, let us celebrate
  127.
  128. Varnaskhia goes in some upwards stairs, outside in the roof.
  129.
  130. Polytechnous follows, and she pulls out bottle of wine. They both pour some drinks and begin enjoying it silently, sitting next to each other, while that rare snowy night chills in front of them.
  131.
  132. Varnaskhia: So the fire shines once again?
  133.
  134. Polytechnous: It doesn’t shine now, it burns
  135.
  136. Varnaskhia: Xe, rose scented words cant hide the smell of new blood. Tell me, how did you finally realize it?
  137.
  138. Polytechnous: I saw what was beneath us and I admitted that there was nothing I could do to ever make you surrender and come back.
  139.
  140. Varnaskhia: To that lowest form of degradation? Never, I can never go back; I’ve seen the state you and those gryphons I once loved worship. You expected me to serve the same civilization that nearly destroyed itself.
  141.
  142. Polytechnous: In that case, join me, lets celebrate in the same way and excitement comparable to that we once both enjoyed.
  143.
  144. Varnaskhia: Which is?
  145.
  146. Polytechnous: Raise a toast, drink your wine and shut up.
  147.
  148. Varnaskhia raises her bottle: In that case, here’s to that then; goodbye to the good old days when we knew who our enemies were and dealt with them accordingly,
  149.
  150. Goodbye to when we overlooked the blood of distant wounds and spears rained down our souls.
  151.
  152. Goodbye old Polytechnous.
  153.
  154. And goodbye to all my friends who died for nothing.
  155.
  156. Varnaskhia drinks her wine, before jumping off the building and running off.
