Background: Yena was born as the first daughter to a Korean mom and dad, in the Netherlands. Her parents met in Korea when they both attended college and fell in love. They kept their relationship even after college, and when her dad decided to move to the Netherlands, because of his work, her mom decided to go with him. They held a shot-gun marriage in Seoul, because of the move. Only after being in the Netherlands for 2 months they found out her mom was pregnant with Yena's elder brother. Their first born is Yena's older brother who is 2 years older than her. When Yena was 10 they decided to move back to Korea as her grandparents of father side were retiring and wanted her father to take over their Company. Even though Yena's family was busy with their work, they never failed to give the siblings lot of love. Yena's mom refrained from working until both Yena and her older brother Yunho, where in their early teens. From when she was young Yena loved to take care of her brother, even though she was the youngest.

In school, both her brother and Yena didn't have any difficulties finding their way as their parents had taught them Korean from when they were young. They both spoke English fluently as well because that was mandatory in the Netherlands. They moved into a friendly neighborhood, and they became the neighbors of a boy names Lee Taeyong. At first, the boy was quite reluctant to get along with them, but one day Nana saw him look at her chocolate with googly eyes and when she offered him some, they became friends. Nana and Taeyong kept a steady friendship, although often seen as the polar opposites. They somehow blended well along, especially since Taeyong likes Yunho a lot too. Yena disapproved of how he was "fashionably late" - as he called it, every day and when he requested her to wake him up, she declined and told him, his lazy ass should just learn. Yena became known as the high-spirited fairy, always smiling and helping people with a problem. As she was seen as a trustworthy and warm person, people found it quite easy to get along with her. The other reason school went by smoothly for Yena is, that she always had a protective brother and childhood friend to look after her. If stuff got too out of hand, either Yunho or Taeyong would step. Thus their very close bond with each other.

When they both entered college, it was al peaceful and just like their old days in high school. This was until Yena became a Junio and Yunho graduated the year before. Yunho was the first one to notice the abnormal changes in his sister, the day after a night of partying with Yunho ex-college mates and Yena's friends, he heard her making gagging noises in the bathroom. When he opened the door, he expected her to be vomiting from the alcohol (although she was high tolerant), yet he found flower petals coming out of her mouth. He was beyond shocked, but Yena, on the other hand, looked up calmly and said: "I think I have the Hanahaki disease." Without knowing what to do Yunho called their parents, who immediately brought her to a doctor.

Yena insisted on talking with the doctor alone - which her parents agreed to reluctantly, and explained how she thought she might have gotten the disease. After listening to her carefully, the doctor called in her parents, and brother who were deadly worried. The doctor gave them two options, either have the flowers surgically removed and losing all the feelings for that person, or make the person Yena loved, fall in love with her too. Her parents wanted the flowers removed immediately, they couldn't afford to waste any time. Yet Yena, being Yena had already made her resolve, she had discussed with the doctor how much time she would've before the flowers took up too much lung-capacity. The doctor gave her six months. Yena firmly told her parents she wanted to wagger those six months. Much to her surprise Yunho was the one who supported her decision, and after a long and good talk, her parent's caved in. Her mom said "That boy, better be worth this Yena." and Yena was determined to prove them he was. That she could change him.

Personality:
Yena is the free-spirited, cheery and friendly captain of the cheerleading squad. Yena is an adventurous girl, who acts more by her gut feelings than her brain. She is more daring than graceful and, someone who likes to have control over her own life. Despite her 24/7 smile, warm, outgoing and open-minded personality, Yena at times is very insecure about herself. She'll make a decision and afterward rethink the thousand other possibilities she could've done. In her own eyes, she does have a lot of friends, but she sees herself as an average person. But she’s also the most high-spirited and caring person you’ll ever meet.

Although she's insecure about herself, she'll be the best in hyping up other people and will make them see the best in themselves. She's always ready to help someone out and sees the good in every person.  When it comes to helping friends and beloved ones, she's fearless, and has a stubborn never-give-up attitude, until she finds a solution. How do they act around their friend group?:
Yena is her usually high-spirited and smiley self. Although her motherly side can come out a bit frequenter, as her friends are quite the reckless bunch. But then again Yena has to admit, she mostly acts without thinking too. Yena's also the plan maker off the group, she'll think of ideas to do or meet up, like escape rooms, cafe dates or city, and shopping trips. Usually, her friends go to her for advice or when they are troubled with certain things and just want to get the load off their shoulder.

Do they know any of the boys?:
Yes, she basically knows them all although not all of them in an equally good manner. This is mostly because of her friendship with Taeyong. She basically knew Johnny before she fell in love with him. She always thought he was attractive, but it never grew past that, until that one fateful night. Taeyong knows about her crush, and actually sends her meme Johnny videos and photos, which cracks her up al the time. Only the two of them know this, and Johnny is totally oblivious to this.

Relationship with each of the slots:
• Rose: Doesn't know Rose personally, but knows she's a fellow Junior. Yena always thought Rose had this cool, badass vibe around. Which of course was true to how Rose really is. Yena's one of the few people, who somehow don't find Rose intimidating.

• Carnation: Yena and Carnation share the same secret. They both have snuck in a cat to their dorms, and sometimes their cats play together although Onyx is much younger than Carnations cats. Carnation and Yena are on friendly terms, although they don't move in the same circles outside of college. Then again Yena tends to get along with almost everyone, so she doesn't care about circles.

• Cherry Blossom: Cherry Blossom is the only close friend out of all the other juniors. They went through introductions at college in the same group, and since then their friendship only blossomed more. This happened mostly due to their mutual interest in books. Cherry blossom and Yena, even share a room in the dorms/ have a room next to each other (Depending on you the author), and frequently hang out together. They even exchange books and go to the library together, to just read in each others presence.

• Touch-me-not: Touch-me-not and Yena are Instagram friends and shared a few extra-English classes together. Yena has always thought that touch-me-not was a very beautiful person. They even sat together during English lectures, and Yena still helps touch-me-not frequently with her English.

• Lilac: Yena has passed by Lilac a few times in the corridors, and always wondered if she needed help. Lilac always looked tired, sad or nervous as heck in Yena's eyes. She always wanted to reach out to the girl, but then she got interrupted by someone wanting to talk to her about a school thing, or Lilac disappeared quickly before anyone could notice her.

• Baby's breath: Yena guided her through the campus grounds (since she's part of the student board committee) when Baby's breath was a freshman. She looked very pure and cute in Yena's eyes, the type that might feel overwhelmed by all the new things in college. They kept contact even after the introductions were over, and Yena started babying baby's breath slightly throughout the years.

• Daisy: Yena has met her through the Health club a few times since Daisies quite sporty too. She always came over like an excited and happy-go-lucky kid. Yena always thought they had few similar traits in personality, but Daisies the brighter one of the two. Yena has also heard one of the boys talk about how pretty and cute she was.

• Sunflower:
Yena caught her smuggling food out of the canteen without paying, and Sunflower was about to think of an excuse when she got a coughing fit. Much to Yena's surprise, the girl started coughing up sunflower petals. Sunflower, on the other hand, thought Yena would look at her disgusted but instead, she said "Wow, you're the same as me. We both have the hanahaki disease." and Sunflower just gave her a what-the-hell look. After the coughing fit was over - mostly with Yena shading her away from all the other people. Sunflower and Yena had a talk about what was really going on, they bonded over the same problem and somehow Yena managed to become Sunflowers trust person.

• The eldest line of the slots had a pretty tough week with their love interests messing them up badly. Rose had sneaked in alcohol and they ended up getting pretty wasted. So wasted, that Baby's breath called the boys to help the younger slots out. But it actually had a reverse effect. Rose almost broke her love interest nose, Carnation was drunk cuddling her cat and even other people, she couldn't differentiate between cats and humans anymore. Yena was actually a weeping mess, who didn't let anyone come close to her. Cherry blossom was standing on a table loudly announcing that her love interest was a "Shit-faced, braindead twinkle twat." Rose gave her a big thumbs up for that cursing repertoire. (I'll leave it up to you, as to how the boys will clear this mess ;p)

•Yena:
She found him interesting and tall. He was still rocking the black, side bang, an emo hairstyle which she found quite intriguing. After getting to know him more, she found out he was actually a funny and warm guy, who was pretty straightforward at times. Or so she thought, she noticed how he flirted around with other girls, but in a nonserious manner. She once approached him about it, but he told brushed it off as none of her business and she decided to give it a rest. Yena didn't want to bother him more, she knew when to stop and when to push on.

• Johnny:
Taeyongs neighbor and childhood friend, the leader of the cheerleaders. That's all that flashed through his mind when he first met her. As time passed, he noticed after a while that she was pretty much a crackhead just like him. Funny and caring at times, he believed she was the type to just accept everyone as they were. Yet when she approached him about his behavior and got a bit too deep he warted her off like a stranger. Telling her it was none of her business. After that, it took them a while to talk normally again, mostly because he felt awkward, but since then Yena did not talk about the topic anymore. Which Johnny found slightly regrettable.

How do they act around their L/I?:
•Yena: Yena acts like her usual self around him. Even after him lashing out at her, she didn't change. She actually thought it was his right to act like that. She thought she pried in too deeply after only knowing him for a short while. Yet she noticed Johnny was struggling with how to deal with what had happened, and she tried to make it as easy as possible for him. They kept a steady friendship for quite the time throughout their first and second year, often sharing English jokes and memes. Yet that changed all after that fateful night before Yena started coughing lilies.

Johnny had gotten pretty drunk that night, and when he got out of the house to get "fresh air", Yena followed him a bit worriedly. She found him in the yard of Yunho's friend, looking up at the night sky with a melancholic look. When she took a seat next to him on the bench, Yena had expected him to tell her to go away but he didn't. He looks at her with a small smile and they indulged into a deep conversation. It started out by talking about how lonely the moon must be and that Johnny thought the moon resembled himself quite well. That just like the moon he was surrounded by many stars (his friends and family), yet he always felt lonely. He mostly blamed himself for this, as he was scared to show his true emotions to others. He was afraid to bind himself to others, and that's why he flirted around without being serious about himself. This was the night Yena fell in love with him, where she saw the "real" Johnny, he made her want to hold him tight yet scream at him, all at the same time. Yena expected him to open up more to her the next day, but he had reverted to the Johnny she normally knew. Only this time, he held her at an even bigger difference, clearly treating her as a sister and just a friend.

This deeply hurt Yena, but she could and would not give up on him. Not now that she knew, that he was actually suffering and struggling with himself. She knew he could open up to her and she was determined to get through to him. To make him realize it was okay to trust and believe in her. That she wouldn't leave his side, even after knowing his weaknesses and fears.

•Johnny:
At first, Johnny treated her like he would treat his male friends. She understood the English jokes his other friends couldn't and they bonded over vines and memes. It became quite normal for them to spam each other with these kinds of stuff on a daily basis. Johnny found this kind of relationship with a girl, very comfortable for the first time in his life. Yena seemed comfortable with it too and bygones were bygones. This continued throughout the full first and second year until they became Juniors. Yunho and their ex-college seniors held a party where all of them including Yena and her girlfriends, where invited. The evening started out pretty well, but Johnny had a few too many drinks (He admired Yena for her high tolerance but he never told her that.)

Johnny felt like he needed some fresh air and headed outside, but of course, Yena, being Yena headed after him to check up on him if he was alright. The alcohol started taking over and he lost control over what he was saying and feeling - although he was not someone who lost his memories after being drunk. He started out by talking about how lonely the moon must be and that he thought the moon resembled himself quite well. That just like the moon he was surrounded by many stars (his friends and family), yet he always felt lonely. Johnny told her, how he mostly blamed himself for this, as he was scared to show his true emotions to others. The next day, everything dawned on Johnny, and it hit him deeply. Scaring him how much he was willing to tell her, how much off an impact she had on him. He decided then and there, that he had to stop this from escalating and that he would only treat her like a sister from now on. When he retorted to his old behavior, he noticed how shaken Yena was by this but he decided to ignore this in his best interest. He expected her to be more hurt or something but she continued on with an optimistic front, which made him wonder if she had a hidden side too. From then on Yena never shied away from making clear that she liked him, yet he decided to act oblivious. At times he really wanted to reach out, but then he would restrain himself because of his own struggles.

Couple Trivia:
• Johnny is saved as "John the parrot" in Yena's phone, whilst he saved her as "Bluebell Nana"
• Yena is his first aid nurse, as he's quite clumsy
• They send each other quotes and clips from movies and books that remind them of each other.
• Johnny takes secret pictures off Yena because he thinks those moments are her best moments.
• Yena loves to wear his oversized hoodies because they are warm, cozy and have his faint smell left on them.
• Whenever Johnny gives her a hug, he always tends to lift her off the floor a bit. This is because he's still amazed by her small (for him) size.
• They often play games like "cards against humanity" together.
• They take quite a few evening/night walks together. They don't talk much during those times, they just walk around satisfied with each others presence.
• Yena doesn't mind Johnny's dirty mind, but she always tells him to tone it down around others.
• After finding out that Yena was quite immune to his flirting, Johnny has made it a hobby to tell her a flirty line every day just to see if she would react. At times Yena forces a reaction, but he always sees through it.
• He likes it when she wears his basketball shirt (the one with their names on the back), to his match to support him
• When they are really in a crackhead mood, they send each other ridicules snapchats or memes and make best like "The one that laughs the quickest, has to sniff up 10 Mega Rainbow Dust straws." Sometimes it gets out off hand (Mostly because off Johnny's dirty mind) and he even dared to suggest that the winner gets to leave 10 hickeys on the other's neck, or doing 7 minutes in heaven in the janitor's room.
• Johnny's jealous off Yena and Taeyong friendship bracelet, but he would never admit it. Instead, he bought them couple rings, which were quite subtle, in shape and color.
• Even after binge-watching movies for six hours, one of them will say "One more" and the other will get up to make some more snacks.
• Kisses are never the same and "normal" with Johnny, he always turns them intense or passionate.
• They always tell each other that they’re a weirdo or an idiot, but they always say it like it’s the best compliment they could ever give anyone.
• Johnny likes her the best in his hoodie and with sweats.
• He carries around candies with the taste off Coffee, just in case she needs some.


Requested Scenes with L/I:
• Johnny and Yena going to her favorite book cafe to read books together. Allthough they are still friends, it gets a bit flirty as they dedicate lines from the book to each other.
• Getting locked up in the library at night with Johnny, because they forgot the closing time and the librarian didn't bother looking around at that time. They have to feed their hunger witht the snack Yena has in their bagg and they try to make the best out off the situation.
• Johnny asked Yena to teach him a few tumbling tricks, but he ended up failing so hard with his clumsy self, that he gave Yena a stomachache from laughing.
• Taeyong demanding an explanation from Johnny and Yena as they started behaving awkwardly around each other, after the drunk incident. Taeyong was ready to blaze at Johnny but Cena stops him and explains it not Johnny's fault.
• Yena clinging on to Johnny during the haunted house in the amusement park, and him not minding.
• Johnny telling Yena to stop talking about her crush on him, as he found it a nuisance and bothersome. Yena becomes so shocked by his reaction, that she starts crying unconsciously. She walks away before Johnny can react but he's left behind shocked too, as he had never seen her cry like this before.
• A long evening walk were Johnny decides to properly tell her what he's struggling with (whilst he's sober), and also explaining why he can't answer he feelings.

• The day before her operation to remove the flowers and her feelings, Yena contacts Johnny to go to a comic cafe. He agrees and the days goes by enjoyable. At the end of the day, Yena can't hold it in anymore and she starts crying, Johnny who doesn't understand why tries to console her but she just shrugs him off with a shake off her head. Yena takes a deep breath and tells him the truth. How she got the "hanahaki disease", and that she has the surgery tomorrow to remove everything. She also tells him, how she had deeply believed in him and that it was pity she trusted him too much, and yet he couldn't trust her, before walking away.

• Devastated by the news, Johnny realizes that he can't give her up after all and he tries to reach her house before the surgery. Afterall she told him the exact location and time she would have the surgery. Yena was holding on to him till the last minute, and he wouldn't let that go to waste once again. (I'll leave how this scene ends to you ;)


Any other scene requests:
• How each of the girls handles their hangover the next day during lessons. Example. Yena who never had gotten this drunk has cheerleading practice and every time she does a tumbling her brain feels like it's shaking up and down.

1. I had like this idea, were Yena (Lily) could be like the guardian angel, helping the others find out more about their Hanahaki disease. She could be like that person who tries to help everyone get together with their love interest because she knows how short the time left is.

2. Actually, it was my fantastic brain having an idea fart. Since it was stated in Taeyongs profile "Interested in one of the girls (not his main LI)", I thought why not make him my idiotic childhood friend, who has an interest in Yena. That is of course if you are digging the idea. But I thought, "Hey I can always suggest it!"
