A life in Grast.

Rhett was born as twins from a wealthy merchant of winery family In Grast. He was the younger one.
Ever since kids, Rhett lives separately from his father, only live with his mother and his twins on a villa outside of the town, a bit far from the Main House. He seldom meets his father, only during special events on the Main House. Not knowing to Rhett, the reason why they live separately is to make sure their safety from the rivals of the father’s business.

Rhett grows up into a smart kid, although due to his health, he prefers to stay inside the house. He loves to read books and often spend some time alone indoor with pile of books, indulging himself with knowledge, which makes him a closed person.

Very different than his twin, who is healthier, active, socially open with everyone and often plays outside. Often his twin bring stuffs from outside and give it to Rhett. One of the stuffs he received was a stone, which looks like some gem, but a raw one which makes him amaze. From that on, Rhett starting to have an interest toward stones and gems, but he often keep it to himself. Only his twins knows about it.
As twins, they often talked about their own dreams before they sleep. The older twin will take the family business, while Rhett will make a business of his own on gems, and they will stand side by side as big merchants. They usually laugh happily and ended up shushed by their mother to get some sleep.

But dream is just a dream.
One day, during an event where Rhett have to attend on the Main House, Rhett got sick and was left on the villa alone with the maids and the butlers. His twin ask Rhett to become substitute, since they look alike. Almost all people can’t see which one is which, so Rhett think maybe its okay.

He waited for his twin and his mother to tell him about the event, and he keeps on waiting and waiting. But they never return. He woke up by the hysterical cry from the maids on the house. And then he knows, his twin and his mother were dead due to an accident.

It was raining on the burial event. The rain pours down just like understanding Rhett’s feeling. He looks with a blank view and tears flowing while the coffin of both the people he loves was put down. And there he heard from the audience’s whispers of rumors, that the death was not an accident. It was caused by his father’s business rivals. Didn’t believe on what he heard, Rhett looked at his father’s direction, hoping to see his father in grieve, hoping to see that if it’s true it’s not an accident, he will look like someone with regret.

But no… His father only stares at the coffin with cold eyes like it’s nothing. And from that point, Rhett started to hate his father.

Due to the accident, Rhett was brought to live with his father in the Main House and starting to receive a lot of education to prepare him as the heir of the family. Not only education on knowledge but also physical preparation. Fueled with hatred, Rhett tries his best to excel in everything he learns. And during those times, he still seldom meets his father, only the loyal butler of the family, Alfred, who always accompany him during his times.

Day goes by, and in no time, Rhett is 17 now. His father is getting old and starting to get sick. But Rhett didn’t care. For him, his father is just a heartless guy who he thinks as the cause for his mother and twin’s death. Until the day his father calls him to his deathbed. There, he realized he was wrong all the time. His father is not a heartless guy, but he cannot show his feelings even if he wanted to due to his position.

Before his last breath, his father only said one thing to Rhett, “Never show your emotion in front of others. Once you show your emotion, you’ve lost. Whatever happens.” And with a weak smile, the first and only smile he ever see from his father, and a last word “Rhett, choose your own path”, his father dies.

Enrollment to Pan Didactherion Academy

After the death of his father, Rhett continues his father path as a merchant on winery, but somehow he feels like he’s not satisfied with it. During one night, he remembers his father word and the stone which his twin gave him, he decided to choose on his own path: to make both of his twin and his dream come true.

Leaving the family winery to Alfred the butler, Rhett enrolls to Pan Dedactherion Academy with the name Rhett Guthrie, combination of both his name and his twin sister’s name. Before he departs, he recalls his father’s last words, and think, if his father failed by being a stoic, then he will be someone better than his father. He smiles.

He was just arrived in Glyphrock and suddenly it happened, The Cataclysm. The world shakes, and he lost his consciousness. And when he awakes, he realized, it will be a long way to go to fulfill his dream.

Joining Frontier United Navigators

Survival is quite hard at first, but due to Rhett’s knowledge in winery, he got some part time job helping in the bar as bartender. Where, he thinks, is also a good place to get information on the situations. Seeing all the customer goes bye every day, he thought there’s no hope on the situation. Until one day, one of his customers said about Frontier United Navigators.

Without thinking long, he runs outside the bar, seeing that it might be his ticket to fulfill his dream once again.
