  17. >The remaining states are independent, with a number of them alligned with FN
  18. >The independent states vary in their political systems, raning from tribes to theocracy to aristocracy, etc.
  19. >Both sides squabbling for power, trying to gain more Earth territory; not really sure of who would win if a full blown conflict emerged, in a late-CW scenario whenthe avatar appears
  20. >Suddenly most valuable chip is in the game
  21. >If either side has the Avatar, it means the indecisive states would probably side with them, giving them an edge in the conflict

  26. Outline:

  28. >Introduce Shen and his brother
  29. >FN spies in the neutral Si Wong Desert region find out about Shen
  30. >Kimiko (with Poi in tow) under Vachir's orders comes to recruit Shen (with Bayar in tow)
  31. >Poi wears some traditional female sandbender garments (hammerpants)
  32. >Travel in the hopes to find an Airbending teacher

  34. >World-building as they travel from Air Temple to Air Temple, as they tavel through the various Earth states
  35. >They first head they head to Eastern Air Temple
  36. >From there they head towards the Southern Air Temple
  37. >They meet the winebendesr at a bar, and also at the bar are the SS but Team Avatar/SS don't know each other's identities
  38. >After the Southern Air Temple they take a pit-stop at FN where they meet Vachir
  39. >From there they go to the Western Air Temple, and finally the Northern Air Temple
  40. >They get turned down from every Air Temple, as they are taking a neutral stance on the cold war
  41. >A rebellious airbender kid stows away with them when they leave the last Air Temple
  42.  
  43. >After some squabbling about him coming with them at all, he offers to be Shen's teacher
  44. >Team Avatar are travelling in UER territory
  45. >During there travels, they run into Mud, who finds out Shen is the Avatar and challenges him to a fight
  46. >After getting overpowered by Mud, Shen accidentally reveals that he is the Avatar in a means to defense
  47. >They get arrested and thrown into a temp prison until the authorities get orders on what to do
  48. >Team Avatar meet Lee at the priston and escape with his help
  49. >SS is introduced, as the UER president hires them to hunt back the Avatar
  50. >Team Avatar start training, but realize the SS is after them and need to keep moving
  51. >Lee and Bayar travel in Lee's ride, whilst the other's are still travelling with Azusa
  52. >As they travel, Shen and Kimiko begin to reevaluate their world views, and Shen struggles with his Vaatu problem
  53. >Lee and Bayar gets lost from the others an episode or two before the finale
  54. >The SS finally succeeds in capturing them, despite Shen finally going Avatar-mode (finally gets to connect with Korra)
  55. >They get thrown in a Dai Li prison to prep for brainwashing
  56.  
  57. >Vachir gets the news that the Avatar has been captured by UER, and in panic leaves to attack the Dai Li in retaliation in order to get the Avatar
  58. >Lee takes Bayar to his "connections", Detectives Hato and Kodo, to get help finding Team Avatar
  59. >Lee and Bayar rescues the team
  60. >Vachir returns back to FN after finding out Team Avatar is no longer there
  61. >Beach episode(s), waterbending training
  62. >Mud reveals that he has been tracking Shen down and challenges him to another fight, gets #rekt
  63. >Vachir's attack causes tensions to rise between FN and UER (international incident tier)
  64. >He grows even more paranoid and reluctantly conducts a military coup, usurping the Fire Lord
  65. >Shen and co. have to mediate Vachir and UERs confrontation from turning into a full-blown spirit-nuclear war
  66. >Shen has his epiphany, stops fighting Vaatu and accepts him, fusing him with Raava
  67. >This gives him the power boost he needs to neutralize antagonists
  68. >War averted, Shen bears witness to the signing of a peace treaty between the FN and UER

  74. >Doesn't care about the outside world, but slowly grows custom to it
  75. >Parents are dead (he discovers he is the Avatar mourning his father's death), and he with his brother lives with one of his dad's old friend
  76. >Goes with the flow, anddoesn't care about anything but his immediate surroundings, also he is stoic, slow to hatred but can furious anger, patient if unhurried
  77. >Looks up to Bayar, wishes to be like him
  78. >Dislikes Kimiko initially, seeing her as snooty
  79. >Maybe has a crush on Poi
  80.  
  81. >Bayar, 21
  82. >Avatar's brother
  83. >Was hailed as a sandbending prodigy before they discovered the Avatar, and as a result he is slightly bitter/envious about his brother, but is also protective
  84. >Fiercely loyal to the sandbender tribe, and follows the Avatar into the outside world to keep him from losing touch with his roots
  85. >Hates Kimiko initially, views her as a corruptor of Shen
  86. >Wants to dislike Poi, but honestly can't fault her for anything other than occassionally being too loud

  89. >Rich, noble firebender
  90. >A sophisticate with a superiority complex, she sets out on a mission to locate the Avatar and convince him to ally with the FN
  91. >At first she sees Shen as a dirty, uncouth tool, but slowly starts to respect him and feel guilt over manipulating him
  92. >Finds Bayar brutish and gross, but tries to be professional about it, although she feels Bayar pushes it too far sometimes
  93. >Loves Poi like a sister, but kind of takes her emotional support for granted and doesn't quite realize how much she is dependent on Poi
  94.  
  95. >Poi, 16
  96. >Waterbender handmaiden of Kimiko
  97. >The daughter of hired servants from the volcanic islands surrounding the FN, she was born into Kimiko's household, where she grew alongside Kimiko as a sister, and now she is a happy-go-lucky and loyal friend of Kimiko
  98. >She's also desperate for affection and terrified at the thought of someone not liking her
  99. >Loves Kim as a sister, and values Kim's happiness to the point that she is willing to sacrifice her expession of negative feelings to avoid bringing her down
  100. >Finds Sandbender culture fascinating, and is very curious about Shen and Bayar
  101. >Brings the fashion into hammerpants!

  104. >Con-artist extraordinaire
  105. >A sleazy, smooth-talking con-man, he meets the team at a Dai Li prison camp and after organising an escape joins the team
  106.  
  107. >Wang, 14
  108. >Airbending runaway
  109. >After the team visit one of the air temples to request help, they get turned down, as the airbenders are taking a neutral stance on the current affairs, this airbender follows the team and joins them against their will
  110. >Wang wants to be hardcore, but his temple won't let him (and he doesn't like his name)

  112. Antagonists:

  114. >Vachir
  115. >A firebending General in the Fire Nation military, he is a FN zealot, with an obsession with FN history and a collection of FN antiques
  116. >Fear and paranoia of the UER motivates him to take drastic measures to ensure the survival of the FN
  117. >He is from a FN allied Earth state, and his particular home state used to be a former state of the UER, before rebellions led them to independence
  118.  
  119. >Suicide Squat
  120. >A group of skilled non-benders hired by the UER
  121. >Captain - a rugged, cantankerous, old ex-sea-captain, who stinks of fish/booze, she is a master tactician and highly skilled with a boomerang
  122. >Rhino - a juggernaut of a man, he uses pure brute force to bring down his target
  123. >Snake - a charming chi-blocker who uses his skills of acrobatics to bring an aspect of stealth to the team
  124. >Eagle - a Yuyan archer, she function as the marksman of the team
  125.  
  126. >Mud
  127. >An earthbending wrestling probender, he specialises in crystalbending
  128. >When he finds the Avatar, he grows an obsession over fighting him, to prove his position as the best earthbender to exist
  129. >His name is ironic, AVATAH! Because mud's soft but he's HAAARRRRD!

  133. >Meelo, Jinora, Ikki and Rohan are the only ones still alive from LoK
  134. >They each lead one of the four air temples
  135. >Meelo leads a militaristic branch (Northern), with airbending ninjas who use their skills to bend sound-vibrations
  136. >Jinora leads a spiritual branch (Eastern), with a focus on reaching enlightenment
  137. >Ikki leads a humanistic branch (Western), with a focus on charitable works
  138. >Rohan is a non-bender who leads an academic branch (Southern), which focuses on educating the airbenders of the history of the Air Nomads among other things

  140. >Sandbender Tribes
  141. >The sandbenders are isolated tribes that inhabit the Si Wong desert, in UER, despite this they have a culturally ingrained resentment to the UER
  142. >The males are the political/militaristic leaders, who run errands and heists to provide the necessities and luxuries of life
  143. >The females are the spiritual leaders, who interact with the desert spirit(s) and have the responsibility of authorising, through the wisdom of the spirit(s), the plans that the men devise

  145. >Animals
  146. >Azusa - a giant Rhino Beetle, she is the teams primary companion, who allows the team to travel through the air, although she has low stamina and needs to rest occasionally - her indestructible shell makes up for this weakness though
  147. >Camelspiders - these giant spider/camel hybrids are the sandbenders choice animals for transport, with incredible speed, and impressive stamina, they allow the sandbenders to transverse the desert - their silks also come in handy for various uses

  149. >Spirit Guide
  150. >Korra gives advice and help to Shen semi-often
  151. >Her advice is usually about facilitating agreements and non-aggression, showing how she grew from where she started
  152. >Doesn't mention her being missing
  153. >However Shen just ignores or argues with her for the most part
  154.  
  155. >Winebenders (trio)
  156. >Waterbenders who fight in the drunken boxing style
  157. >Seemingly chaotic, but always in control; their style is based around transitioning from seemingly weak, soft movements to strong, powerful movements, as such they only maintain definite shapes with their waterbending for split moments
  158. >They can do most of their techniques while sober, but their unique training makes it so that alcohol improves thier skills/strengths; for this reason, they carry emergency bottles of booze at all times
  159. >One is a laughing drunk, one an angry drunk, and the third member is an oblivious drunk who is semi-conscious for the best part
  160. >As part of their philosophy, they embrace aspects of the lower class and downtrodden

  162. >Detectives Hato and Kodo

  164. >Holt is the impulsive and aggressive, firebending maverick of the duo, whilst Cole is the cool and collected, waterbending by-the-books of the duo
