  3. Star didn't move, she just looked back at Marco and the crowd; her head was buzzing again. Marco's smile slowly diminished after Star just stood there motionless; had he done something wrong? Probably knowing how he's been acting lately.
  4. "I-I need to be alone, excuse me," Star said and took running into the house bolting past Mrs. Diaz who was coming outside with the cake. Marco took off after her.

  6. Mrs. Diaz set down the cake on a nearby table and was joined by her husband.

  8. 'What happened? I had been inside the house for a while getting the cake ready to cut" Mrs. Diaz said puzzled.

"Well Star started to dance with that goth kid and Janna slapped her but it was alright since I gave Marco a push to ask her to dance, oh and also he kissed her in front of everyone and then she ran off oh and the weird girl who dresses like Star thinks were her in-laws now" Mr. Diaz explained. His wife was just silent; "I leave you alone with the kids for 20 minutes and this place turns into a fucking soap opera"

  12. "Watch you language!" Mr. Diaz said jokingly remembering their earlier conversation, but Mrs. Diaz was not having it. "You better hope those two are going to be ok"

  14. Upstairs Star ran up to her room and slammed the door shut, Marco followed her and sat outside.

"Star if your mad at me, then tell me I didn't mean to do whatever it is that I did when I kissed you just now I just wanted to make you happy I know it made happy" Marco shouted through the door. "Please believe me I would not hurt you on purpose". Marco kept waiting but got no reply, old him would probably leave and try again later but no this is new Marco and new Marco loves Star too much to just sit back and hope for the best; he opened the door and found Star sitting on the foot of her bed hugging a pillow not crying but not looking happy, she raised her head and made eye contact for a second before lowering it again. He closed the door and approached her until he was standing a few inches from her.

  18. "Why do you do this to me, Marco?" Star finally asked. "Ever since you saved me back on Mewni you've been the sweetest most caring..anything I know but then your run away and act like what just happened never happened, and its killing me inside"

  20. Star began to tear up. "Right now your kissing me and wanting to dance but afterward how do I know you just won't disappear and try to act like nothing happened?"

"Star I know, I know fuck you gotta believe me I know I've been fighting with myself since then too heck since before ever since I had the dream, I know what I've been doing must be terrible for you and confusing and it is confusing for me two or least it was but not anymore" Marco said raising his voice not in anger but in confidence.

  24. "I still don't understand why-" Marco silenced her with a kiss.

  26. "I love you Star Butterfly, that's why" he whispered to her when he was done.

  28. Star said nothing, she had always wanted to hear those words come from him for a very long time but she still wasn't sure if he'd just take them back but to his credit at least he actually said it which is more then she can say for herself.

"I'm weak Star, on the outside I always look like I got everything together but on the inside I'm a chaotic disorganized mess mentally; everytime I've wanted to tell you I get afraid, maybe deep down I would say and do things hoping you'd just understand without me actually saying I love you and maybe it would have worked but then came the dream, then came the realization that you can be taken away from me; and I don't mean for a year but forever and it broke me Star it broke me really bad". Marco had started to cry a little as he spoke, Star wiped away his tear like how he usually does for her.

"Fucked up part is even after I knew more then ever that I needed to tell you how I feel I still couldn't do it; I was afraid of things changing between us for the worse, I was afraid of change period. Every time I should have been pledged my undying love for you I would just joke or change the subject and for that I will never be sorry enough; making you these confused and upset. Marco took a seat next to her he wasn't sure what she was thinking sometimes he would just know but at the moment he's not getting his "star vibes".

"If I could alter time I'd change it so I would have told you how I really felt long time ago, I wish It hadn't been seeing you sad on your birthday of all days to make me accept and take responsibility for the fact that I would lay down my life for you in a heartbeat no hesitation and only want to be by your side and ONLY your side from now until the end of time or until your sick of me" Marco took a deep breath, he thought telling his father felt good, telling Star made him feel like a whole new person.

  36. Star hadn't said anything for a while, this made Marco even more sad, he knows his fear has probably hurt her in ways he can't fathom. "That's all I have to say really, I'm sorry for making you feel this way and I'm sorry if I ever make you feel this way in the future but I really hope I don't because I love you more then anything in this dimension or in the next and I mean every word" Marco closed his eyes and braced himself for an impact. "I also said if I ever kissed you again you can punch me in the face, well by my count I did it twice and I keep my promises, take your best swing Star".

Star made direct eye contact with him, she pulled back her arm and made a fist and swung it towards Marco..but her hand went past his head, she then placed her hand on the back of his head and leaned towards him giving him another kiss; Marco wrapped his arms around her, they've kissed four times now total and each one felt more right then the last.

  41. "Yo también te amo Marco Diaz" Whispered Star to him as they embraced. Marco smiled, her Spanish was better then his. She fell on top of him, on her bed as they kissed; they never wanted to leave each other sight again as long as they live.

  43. Outside in the hallway, all the party guests were listening to them talk through the door and gave an audible "aww".
