  3. [2012-08-26 03:04:17] <AMARDA_GM> When last we left our heroes, they were preparing an ambush that cleaned Hoof Rot near clean out of Explosives. With their trap set, our heroes are now playing the waiting game, watching for their assailants to fall straight into their trap.
  4. [2012-08-26 03:07:01] <AMARDA_GM> Grand_Finale, who was gently dozing up until a moment ago is awoken from his wonderful dream by a certain mare he dislikes. At the same time Shade is being given somewhat sound and reasonable advice by the voices in her head. Yes that is a shocking fact!

  6. [2012-08-26 03:09:26] * Grand_Finale sits up sudenly, his eyes opening wide. If his chest wasnt heaving, but if he had his breath he probably would have screamed. Takeing a few frantic moments of looking around Grand starts to calm down and breath, "Damn, well at least it was just a dream".

  8. [2012-08-26 03:11:03] * Grand_Finale flops back down in the dirt of the small little hiden camp, unwilling to completely resign to being awake.

  10. [2012-08-26 03:13:07] * Midnight_Rain is just sitting on her cloud with her rifle
  11. [2012-08-26 03:13:30] * Haywire adjusts goggles, lying by the radio equipment side.
  12. [2012-08-26 03:13:59] * Dusk_Beam is sitting at the edge of the redzone. Looking over the ruins of the MAS building, she was covered in sweat from being stuck inside that suit, her breathing heavy and feelign slightly dizzy she tries to just concentrate on breathing.

  21. [2012-08-26 03:18:19] * Grand_Finale yawns as he lifts his head, rubbing the sleepy from his eyes. Trotting over to the edge of the half buried hidden camp Grand sits next to Haywire, Glancing between the pony, his various monitoring equipment, and building full of his explosives in the distance. He could still see it but you needed a pair of banoculars to get a good look from this distance.

  23. [2012-08-26 03:19:18] <AMARDA_GM> At the secret camp, both Haywire and Grand_Finale see what looks to be movement, although it appears to be only one or two figures at most.
  24. [2012-08-26 03:19:58] * Dusk_Beam closes her eyes and shakes her head slowly. "No, it.. It is fine, I just need to take it easy. Dont worry, Im sure.. Haywire and the others will be here soon."

  26. [2012-08-26 03:20:48] <Shade> "If you need to get outside the radiation, you need to get outside the radiation."

  28. [2012-08-26 03:22:01] <AMARDA_GM> At the camp, the few pony shaped things begin to poke around the camp, not going inside of it.
  29. [2012-08-26 03:22:18] * Grand_Finale leans over and gives Haywire a nudge, "Hey, I thik I saw something. Check and see if your monitors see anything"
  30. [2012-08-26 03:22:27] * Haywire whispers breathless. "They are here. They are really here!" He keeps an eye on the camera system.
  31. [2012-08-26 03:22:35] * Dusk_Beam shakes slightly. "No.. It.. It is fine.
  32. [2012-08-26 03:24:35] <AMARDA_GM> The dark figures skirt the perimeter, you see two more from around the other side come into view just as the first two are about to turn.
  33. [2012-08-26 03:24:36] * Haywire nods. "Warn Midnight and Sweet."
  34. [2012-08-26 03:25:29] <Shade> "Terminal, love, if you would be so kind, could you please pick Dusk up and get out of the radiation a bit? Try and keep the camp in sight but far enough this isn't effecting her."
  35. [2012-08-26 03:25:56] * Grand_Finale nods, wispering back, "Midnight is up on a cloud, we can call her after the bang but Ill go wake up Sweet". Grand trots off to do so.

  37. [2012-08-26 03:26:41] <Terminal> <Are you coming with us....?>
  38. [2012-08-26 03:26:59] <AMARDA_GM> Both Grand and Haywire note that this is not the full force, merely a scout party.
  39. [2012-08-26 03:27:03] * Dusk_Beam sways where she sits, why was she so dizzy..
  40. [2012-08-26 03:27:17] * Grand_Finale wakes up Sweet spot and returns back to Haywires side, watching the facilty with one eye while looking over Haywires shoulder at the monitoring equipment with the other.
  41. [2012-08-26 03:27:30] * Terminal walks slowly up to Dusk and pokes her with her muzzle.
  42. [2012-08-26 03:27:45] <Haywire> "...it can't be just these few ones."

  45. [2012-08-26 03:28:30] * Midnight_Rain is laying on her back on the cloud looking at the other clouds lost in thought
  46. [2012-08-26 03:28:34] * Dusk_Beam leans against Terminals muzzle. "Just, take me to the outskirts and go back.."

  50. [2012-08-26 03:29:07] <AMARDA_GM> Then, suddenly, ten more just shimmer into view. They take to the sky then begin raining blasts of green plasma indiscriminately into the base.
  51. [2012-08-26 03:29:32] * Grand_Finale leans forward and lifts the safty lid on the radio detonation device and turns the nob arming the trigger and lighting up the caution light. "Nope, have to wait a bit longer, at least till more show up... so where did you leave the tracker, in the main building?". Grands hoof hovers over the button, waiting to trigger the bombs.
  52. [2012-08-26 03:30:10] * Grand_Finale eyes widen in alarm, "SHIT! Guess the arnt takeing any chances!"
  53. [2012-08-26 03:30:57] * Dusk_Beam coughs rocking forward she mange to stand up, swaying back and forth. "What if they come while we are at the edge.." She sits down again, to dizzy.
  54. [2012-08-26 03:31:42] * Grand_Finale chuckles, looking up at the sky to the coud he was pretty sure Midnight_Rain was on, "Bet that caught her attention.
  55. [2012-08-26 03:31:46] * Terminal grabs the collar of Dusk's armor, pulls her upright, and begins carrying her out
  56. [2012-08-26 03:32:06] * Dusk_Beam just sorta, hangs there.
  57. [2012-08-26 03:33:38] * Haywire tries to have a good look at them through the cameras, tensing up. "It seems I wasn't wrong in fearing them." He looks around for more black ponies.
  58. [2012-08-26 03:33:59] <Shade> "Dusk, you had Rad-away, didn't you?"
  59. [2012-08-26 03:34:32] * Midnight_Rain just lays there watching the clouds and the light show
  60. [2012-08-26 03:34:33] <AMARDA_GM> The Black ponies are ruthless, as glowing green globs of plasma slam into ground and buildings, a simple pattern of complete and utter destruction designed to catch both ground and airborne targets. Each shot sizzles and leaves a small green fire in it's wake, regardless of what it hit. The result is like some sort of hellish bonfire!
  61. [2012-08-26 03:34:34] * Dusk_Beam mumbles. "Yes.. In my.. Pack."
  62. [2012-08-26 03:35:43] <Shade> "Terminal, Try and get her helmet off." shade hops down and starts rummaging through Dusk's pack for a pack of rad-away
  63. [2012-08-26 03:36:21] * Dusk_Beam has two of them, they are right there together with a 3 Tablets of Rad X
  64. [2012-08-26 03:36:34] * Grand_Finale calls back to Sweet spot without looking away from the green glow coming from the far away base, "Sweet, you have to come look at this!"
  65. [2012-08-26 03:36:40] * Terminal sets Dusk down, her helmet enveloped in the glow of alicorn magic, and twists it off.
  66. [2012-08-26 03:37:27] <AMARDA_GM> Grand_Finale realises that it's still to soon to set off the explosives.
  67. [2012-08-26 03:38:05] * Shade grabs both because this looks pretty bad, as well as a tablet of Rad-x. She bites a hole in one of the packs and holds it out to Dusk_Beam "Dusk, Drink this. It tastes like shit wrapped in bacon then left out for a week, but it will help."
  68. [2012-08-26 03:38:21] * Dusk_Beam can't contain what she had been wanting to do for a while now. She leans to her side and throws up.
  69. [2012-08-26 03:38:22] <Shade> "Okay, it actually tastes like rotten oranges, but whatever."
  70. [2012-08-26 03:38:29] <SweetSpot> Sweet goes to where Grand_Finale is and looks at where he was pointing at.
  71. [2012-08-26 03:38:36] * Shade is glad she got both packs
  72. [2012-08-26 03:38:42] * Terminal holds her up
  73. [2012-08-26 03:38:49] <Terminal> <....she is severely poisoned>
  74. [2012-08-26 03:39:27] * Grand_Finale nods towards the rain of plasma from the dark shapes on the base, "See?". Grand leans over to Haywire, "Please tell me your getting this on Halo-tape so we can show the others!"
  75. [2012-08-26 03:39:27] <AMARDA_GM> The Black ponies, seemingly unphased by the destruction they have caused lower themselves down into the wreckage of the compound. Several larger, more powerful looking ones shimmer into view and begin looking for what you can only assume to be the transmitter.
  76. [2012-08-26 03:41:09] * Dusk_Beam shakes and throws the last of her content up, taking the RadAway in shaky hooves she slowly drinks it. You can see the disgust on her face as she sips the medicine.
  77. [2012-08-26 03:41:10] <Shade> "Dusk, Drink this."
  78. [2012-08-26 03:41:12] * Grand_Finale smiles, his hoof hovering inches above the detonator, ready for the word from Haywire.

  80. [2012-08-26 03:41:46] <Shade> "I told you it tasted bad. And you've still got another one you need to drink. You're pretty heavily irradiated."
  81. [2012-08-26 03:42:12] * Haywire nods at Grand_Finale. "It is time, isn't it?"
  82. [2012-08-26 03:42:33] <Shade> "Normally they're used for IV drips, but I don't see any around here. It's less effective this way, too, unfortunately."
  83. [2012-08-26 03:42:54] * Grand_Finale nods, "Just as soon as you have a good picture of one of the fuckers, we need to know what they look like!"
  84. [2012-08-26 03:43:30] * Terminal keeps her head on a pivot while Shade administers aide, some long forgotten instinct aroused.
  85. [2012-08-26 03:44:03] <Haywire> "Of course."
  86. [2012-08-26 03:44:09] * Dusk_Beam is about to throw up again but mange to keep it in her stomach. "Fuck.. " Is all she mange to say. She whimpers and takes the second Rad Away, downing that one too."
  87. [2012-08-26 03:45:08] * Terminal pauses for a brief moment to nuzzle Dusk <It will be alright>
  88. [2012-08-26 03:45:42] * Shade bends down to kiss Dusk's cheek "Try not to throw it back up."
  89. [2012-08-26 03:46:01] <AMARDA_GM> Non of the team watching can clearly make out what race the ponies are. They can fly, but they have also shown signs of magic. And they seem to be hard to describe, like they are something difficult to comprehend, like they aren't real. But many have now entered the buildings and at least another dozen have begun to secure the perimeter of the compound and are searching outward from it.
  90. [2012-08-26 03:47:06] * Shade digs around in her bags and pulls out a bottle of water and the Rad-x "Drink this. It'll get some of the taste out."
  91. [2012-08-26 03:48:31] * Dusk_Beam 's dizzyness dies down to a light headache and she stops shaking after downing the second Rad Away. "Yeah.. Yeah, Ill try. I didnt expect the levels of radiation to be so high..." She shakes her head to clear it of some final dizzyness and takes the bottle and medicine. Putting the tablet on her tounge and drinking the water.
  92. [2012-08-26 03:49:19] * Terminal shifts a little to keep her body in between the two smaller mares and the direction of the slaver's camp <It is time>
  93. [2012-08-26 03:51:21] * Dusk_Beam nods and wipes a hoof over her muzzle to clean it. "Right.." Giving both Shade and Terminal a gentle nuzzle before putting the helmet back on. "Thank you.."

  99. [2012-08-26 03:53:04] * Grand-Finale snears at the monitors, "What the fuck are they?". Leaning forward Grand smiles smugly as he lowers his hoof, "Or should I say were they?". Without a moments more of hesitation Grand presses the button activateing the multitude of bombs and mines, oh and of course the fireworks he threw in for effect.

  101. [2012-08-26 03:53:26] <AMARDA_GM> At the outer part of the base there is a blinding explosion as charges explode in a massive wave of concussive energy. The ones still in the air are tossed around, scattered all about, limbs clearly broken. Then goes the building, massive charges rip open the sky sending massive gouts of flame towards the enclosed sky. Then go more anti pony mines, viscous things that leap from the ground and send wave after wave of deadly
  102. [2012-08-26 03:53:26] <AMARDA_GM> shrapnel, eviscerating anything foolish enough to be in their path.
  103. [2012-08-26 03:53:28] * Dusk_Beam gives Terminal a gentle smile.
  104. [2012-08-26 03:54:05] * Terminal picks Dusk up with her teeth again, then winces
  105. [2012-08-26 03:54:25] <Terminal> <The mine seems to have discharged successfully. We wonder if the foe was caught...>
  106. [2012-08-26 03:54:27] <Shade> "We're not going as deep. As long as we stay within sight of the camp, we're fine."
  107. [2012-08-26 03:54:44] <AMARDA_GM> Then, as a simple follow up, multiple fire works shoot skyward, exploding in bright flashes, quite a dull finish compared to the earlier light show. But somehow a fitting end.

  112. [2012-08-26 03:56:47] * Grand-Finale whipes a single tear from his eye, "Beutiful!"
  113. [2012-08-26 03:56:57] <AMARDA_GM> There does not appear to be anything left moving
  114. [2012-08-26 03:57:52] * Midnight_Rain heads over there with her pistol to scan for the bodies
  115. [2012-08-26 03:57:54] <Shade> "I don't know."
  116. [2012-08-26 03:58:04] * Dusk_Beam "I..I don't know."
  117. [2012-08-26 03:58:12] * Haywire activates the controls to make the robot rise, a sadistic grin in his face. He moves the robot closer for object retrieval and images. "Can it be? ...yes. That was perfect." He chuckles.
  118. [2012-08-26 03:58:40] <AMARDA_GM> Midnight_Rain approaches the blast zone, her eyes still not picking up any movement on the gground or in the air

  122. [2012-08-26 03:59:48] <Terminal> <Helmet on please, Dusk. Yes, we should>
  123. [2012-08-26 04:00:02] * Grand-Finale smiles, pating Haywire on the back, "Sure was Wire, it sure was. We make a good team you and I! now while you attend to your toys Im going to take Sweet to go get the boat ready, we need to head out soon".
  124. [2012-08-26 04:00:06] <AMARDA_GM> Midnight_Rain finds parts of bodies, but no whole or semi whole bodies.
  125. [2012-08-26 04:00:25] * Dusk_Beam "Ah.. It is on Term.. You, you can go."
  126. [2012-08-26 04:00:53] * Grand-Finale Turns to Sweet_Spot and motions to the other side of the camp, "well shall we load up and get ready to meet our companions with the good news?"
  127. [2012-08-26 04:01:35] * Midnight_Rain flies down her pistol at the ready time to see what the enemy was
  128. [2012-08-26 04:01:38] <SweetSpot> Sweet was still staring at the blast area when Grand-Finale got her attention. "Uh yeah...." she almost stammered. "I mean right away!"

  130. [2012-08-26 04:01:53] * Terminal isn't looking behind herself
  131. [2012-08-26 04:02:53] * Grand-Finale smiles, "Good, the last thing we want is to be around when they send another patrol out to see what happened to the first"
  132. [2012-08-26 04:03:19] * Grand-Finale begins to break down the gear in the tent and load the boat
  133. [2012-08-26 04:03:29] * Shade follows behind Terminal
  134. [2012-08-26 04:03:37] <AMARDA_GM> From what you can tell, the various remains look odd, out of place. Bits and pieces of skin seem to melded with the armour, it looks almost as if the armour had grown OUT of the skin.
  135. [2012-08-26 04:04:07] * Terminal slows down to walk apace of Shade
  136. [2012-08-26 04:04:38] * SweetSpot helps Grand-Finale as she floats some stuff from the tent to the boat. Trying her best to be useful to her companions. She was still shocked at how fast the turn of events were but at least this beat caravan duty.
  137. [2012-08-26 04:04:44] * Shade was keeping up just fine thankyouverymuch!
  138. [2012-08-26 04:05:03] * Midnight_Rain picks up the bits trying to figure it out "i think i have seen these somewhere before."
  139. [2012-08-26 04:05:08] * Dusk_Beam is being carried. Woo~
  140. [2012-08-26 04:06:31] * Terminal doesn't want her out of sight.
  141. [2012-08-26 04:06:56] * Shade trots up beside Terminal
  142. [2012-08-26 04:07:07] * Haywire commands the robot to retrieve a couple armored body parts for examination. {Midnight, we are moving. Turn off all communication.}
  143. [2012-08-26 04:07:45] <AMARDA_GM> Midnight_Rain is wrong, it does not look like anything that she has seen. Because the very next piece is a pony head with six eyes in it's head, all seemingly grown organically.
  144. [2012-08-26 04:08:31] * Midnight_Rain looks at it "Ugh that shit looks wrong."
  145. [2012-08-26 04:10:55] <AMARDA_GM> Haywire's robot scoops some of the larger parts up and proceeds back to him. The pack up is quick and efficient, with nothing left behind. Two hours by boat later they meet up with the rest of the group.
  146. [2012-08-26 04:13:17] * Haywire does the classic mad scientist laughter before leaving.
  147. [2012-08-26 04:13:54] * Grand-Finale pokes at the simple radiation suit he had picked up at Hoof rot, it didnt look quite right and even had a few patched parts but still it was better than nothing. Looking up he guazes out the side of the boat, "So are we getting close or what wire?"
  148. [2012-08-26 04:14:37] * Shade is back on Terminal's back.
  149. [2012-08-26 04:14:38] * Grand-Finale the ride had been very uneventful so far but he was still a bit high strung from the explosion a few hours ago.
  150. [2012-08-26 04:14:41] <AMARDA_GM> The boat pulls up next to a set of docks that is near the MAS building.
  151. [2012-08-26 04:15:13] * Terminal forgot to turn off her swag apparently.
  152. [2012-08-26 04:17:13] * Dusk_Beam is most likely laying down next to Terminal.
  153. [2012-08-26 04:17:27] * Haywire shakes his head, filled with renewed confidence. "In fact not until we can ascertain where it's safe for everypony, which they whould have done by now. I was considering to send Midnight to call them, but you are going to attract less attention on the ground."
  154. [2012-08-26 04:18:04] * Terminal stands watch, not needing to sleep now
  155. [2012-08-26 04:18:14] <AMARDA_GM> THe MAS building is rather large, and has at least two stories. There are some windows on one side that a pony could through if he had the right angle. It seems deserted of all life, even ghouls.
  156. [2012-08-26 04:18:26] <SweetSpot> Grand-Finale, I don't have a rad suit. I don't even have Radaway or Rad-X.
  157. [2012-08-26 04:19:12] * Midnight_Rain flies off the boat hovering "I'm not getting rads."
  158. [2012-08-26 04:19:43] * Terminal stands there like a big rad sponge, positively glowing
  159. [2012-08-26 04:20:25] * Dusk_Beam is still curled up next to Terminal. Trying to rest and save energy.
  160. [2012-08-26 04:20:30] * Shade ignores that, her forelegs wrapped around Terminal's neck and her muzzle buried in her mane as she naps.
  161. [2012-08-26 04:22:12] * Grand-Finale hops out of the boat, his rubber and plastic covered hoves splashing in the radiated water as he climbs up on land, looking up at Midnight as she climbs up into the sky and mumbles to himself, "Lucky Bitch".

  163. [2012-08-26 04:22:44] * Shade wakes up for entirely meta reason and looks down at Dusk "Dusk, I'm really worried about you. Why don't we just stay out of the radiation for now? I don't know why we came back this far in the first place. We just need to be in sight of the camp."

  167. [2012-08-26 04:24:25] <Midnight_Rain> "Haywire you should go in and do your mission i'll stay out here with the others."
  168. [2012-08-26 04:24:33] * Grand-Finale notices the slightly glowing terminal and company and turns back to wire, "Hey, I found them. want to go tell them the good news?"
  169. [2012-08-26 04:24:56] <Terminal> <We are aware of what transpired. Congratulations?

  171. [2012-08-26 04:25:25] <Terminal> <He wishes to go inside the laboratory?>
  172. [2012-08-26 04:26:46] * Grand-Finale shakes his head as he closes the distance to the others, "hell yes congradulations are in order, all in all I think we got nearly two and a half dozen of them....whatever they were, some sort of mutants or something I think".

  211. [2012-08-26 04:44:53] * Grand-Finale moves towards the building and enters, looking for valuables. "Ill keep an eye out for it".

  215. [2012-08-26 04:47:42] <AMARDA_GM> The Search team enters the building, the clock ticking. Inside there are no lights on but the wall are GLOWING, providing all the light needed. They find the main Object easily, a box about the size of a foal in the main warehouse. Some of the others find two recollectors and a pair of half junked power armours. Only the helmets can be taken, the rest of them looks worthless.

  287. [2012-08-26 05:53:24] * Grand_Finale Curses before takeing a deap breath and pulling his hood back and grabing his sword, he didnt want to breath to much of this crappy air in. Running forward Grand opens up with a wide swing to throw it off balance before following up with a more aimed and percice strike of his blade.
  288. [2012-08-26 05:55:57] <AMARDA_GM> The first swing does it's job but doesn't hit, the second however does and it digs deep. What looked to be sturdy armour crunches beneath the blades path and rends the flesh beneath it.
