Bug under a Microscope

>The sound of a knock at the door wakes me up
>I quickly roll out of bed and grab a bath robe
>The knock comes again
“I’m coming”
>I race down the hall and pull open the door
>It’s a USP delivery man
>”Good morning, I have a package I need you to sign for”
“But I wasn’t expecting anything”
>He shrugs
>”It has your address, it just says ‘to the current resident’”
>Okay, I’ll bite
>I sign the clip board and take the package
>”Thank you”
“Thank you”
>I nod and shut the door
>I head into the kitchen and cut open the box with a steak knife
>Pulling the wrapping aside reveals a simple coffee mug
 >Odd thing to have to sign for…
>Ew it’s got some kind of film on it
>I take it to the sink to rinse it off
>With the water temperature adjusted and a generous handful of soap I begin to ruthlessly scrub the gunk from my hand
>After toweling off I notice a large black spot in my hand, and after a moment I realize it’s growing!
>I pick at it with my finger nail
>It feels hard and glossy, and my hand feels… strange
>I can feel my finger on the spot, but it’s not normal
>At this point the spot takes up all of my palm, and black has started to work its way down from my finger tips
>There is an odd creek as the black from my fingers meets my palm and then I watched in horror as my fingers began to be absorbed into my hand
>A sharp pain stabs at my jaw, cutting off my attempt at a scream a second stab in my legs sends me to the floor
>The black is climbing up my arm now leaving circles of normal flesh behind
>What looks like black snout has begun to form from my nose and after a moment of dull pain in my forehead I can see what looks like a jagged horn coming out of my head
>With my remaining hand I quickly pull off my shirt and pants to find my legs completely engulfed in the black material
>My belly was covered in a flexible material that looked like the underside of an insect’s abdomen
>There’s a crack and a stabbing pain in my face and mouth, my tongue feels different and running it over my teeth I find that I now have a mouth full of fangs
>I hear a loud buzzing sound and turn to see a large pair of transparent wings on my back
>At that point I let out a scream of utter terror
>Shortly after two men come through the back door
>”There it is” one says, apparently completely unfazed by the abomination in front of him
>”What happened to it, I thought this was the standard stuff?” the second one asks
>”It’s not our concern, sedate it the docs can figure out what to do with it”
>”Right” the second man quickly pulls out a syringe and hurries towards me
>I struggle to get away, but this body is so unfamiliar, he quickly injects me
>My vison starts to go dark
>”Nice work Nick, you’re getting better a..”
