  1. Created to break
  2. Computer Science, emphasis in Security
  3.
  4. It is no stretch to say that I live my life around technology, and have developed a passion for understanding it. I have been coding for 4 years now, and have applied myself in many of the fields of technology. I have experience in Lua, Java, JavaScript, command line, IT, encryption, I undoubtedly love it all.
  5. Coding was always there for me. Even when I went through depression my sophomore year, I still managed to get an A+ on the 2nd semester final, which was a paper I wrote describing and explaining the OSI Model. It doesn’t matter how much I know, or how bad of a mood I’m in, technology will always be my obsession. Even after AP Computer Science, Data Structures, Into to Engineering, and Digital Electronics in high school, I still pursued (and continue pursuing) almost every field in my spare time, from XSS to hardware.
  6. My other obsession is breaking systems; the art of outsmarting people. I have always been interested in applying this to any field possible. Locks, computers, vending machines, websites, anything. You could say household hacks are a hobby. My experiences include lock picking; web attack, network penetration tests, and even a little social engineering. The only way I can explain why it feels so amazing is that it feels like you have undeniable proof you outsmarted someone else, and that you hold secret, powerful information. The moment you finally succeed after trying for hours, days, or even months, is just such an unbelievable feeling.
  7. To me, a job as a penetration-testing consultant wouldn’t be work; it would be the extension of what I love to do. University of Illinois’s reputation in computer science is the perfect match for my curiosity and desire for knowledge.
