[22:37] GM-Mizi	[Another fine day at Marisa's humble abode. She's concerning herself with the big black pot she moved to the rooftops, spreading sweet aroma throughout the area. The mage hums happily while stirring the incomplete concoction. As usual, while she's not doing that, she's reading. Kai has been assigned to clear the hill on the back of overgrown weed, which she expect to take a long time.]
[22:37] Kai	spends a good deal of time on his assigned task, but after a time finds his mind drifting back to worries of home. Silently, he steals out of sight from Marisa's home behind the hill.
[22:37] Kai 	. o O ( That stupid pose thing still hasn't worked yet, but I can't just give up... )
[22:37] Marisa	is humming "love colored master spark". She like this song so much it's probably count as her personal theme song.

[22:37]	Kai	sighs and strikes a pose, then yelling as quietly as possible:
[22:37]	Kai	"Help me Yukariiin!"

[22:39]	Marisa	[somewhere, guys turned gays.]
[22:39]	Marisa	[somewhere, clothes are being ripped with pecs.]
[22:44]	Ran	[herewhere, there is no sudden appearance of a helpful purple woman.]
[22:45]	Ran	[You'll have to make do with this secondhand indigo chick.]
[22:47]	Ran	unceremoniously falls out of the ground through a gap on the other side of the hill. Yes, falls out of the ground. Think with portals.
[22:49]	Marisa	"?"
[22:49]	Marisa	"Hey, Kai. Whazzat?"
[22:49]	Ran	apparently was not expecting this sudden trip, and does not land gracefully on the grassy hillside.
[22:49]	Marisa	asks, unable to identify the purpose of that yelling.
[22:50]	Kai	Er, nothing!
[22:50]	Marisa	"Okay?"
[22:50]	Kai	approaches Ran. A clumsy entry, but apparently it has finally worked!
[22:50]	Marisa	goes back to her cauldron-ing.
[22:50]	Ran	quickly gets up, brushes herself off, and straightens her hat. Today is a day where she has decided to wear her hat.
[22:52]	Ran	walks around to the other side of the hill, noticing Kai. If she's confused, it doesn't show.
[22:53]	Kai	Uh, hello again.
[22:53]	Ran	"You must learn not to wake my superior so early in the morning. She does not often act rationally."
[22:54]	Ran	"Though it's lucky you caught her when she was awake at all, statistically speaking."
[22:54]	Ran	"Good afternoon, Master Kai."
[22:56]	Kai	Good afternoon.
[22:57]	Ran	bows slightly, as proper people are wont to do. Her hands are folded in her sleeves, as SHE is wont to do.
[22:57]	Kai	returns her bow. Politeness is a virtue.
[22:57]	Ran	"I do believe you rang. How might I be of assistance?"
[22:58]	Kai	Sorry to have bothered either of you, but I really would like to find an answer to the question I asked last time.
[22:58]	Kai	The message in a bottle.
[23:00]	Ran	"Ahh, yes, that matter. Do you have the message prepared?"
[23:01]	Kai	nods, producing a corked bottle from a pocket.
[23:02]	Ran	raises an eyebrow at the preparation of the message. If she were a weaker woman she might hide a smile behind her long sleeve, but she's far too in control of petty emotions for such a display.
[23:03]	Ran	"Quite the literal one, I see."
[23:03]	Ran	extends a white-gloved hand palm out to Kai to receive the bottle.
[23:05]	Kai	hands it to her, almost reluctantly.
[23:05]	Kai	I figured this was the lowest-tech, easiest way of ensuring it gets where it needs to go...
[23:06]	Ran	"I would be remiss if I did not tell you that the lowest technological level of communication possible is, of course, plain speech."
[23:07]	Ran	"But, as you wish, Master Kai."
[23:08]	Ran	takes the bottle and places it inside her sleeve somewhere. What does she keep in those things, anyways...?
[23:09]	Kai	I'd hardly expect you to teleport to North America on my account, especially with how much notice that might draw.
[23:09]	Ran	smiles. Out of the ordinary, for her.
[23:09]	Ran	"You would be quite surprised."
[23:10]	Kai	looks surprised.
[23:10]	Kai	... You can?
[23:10]	Kai	I guess that would make sense, but...
[23:10]	Kai	Wow.
[23:12]	Ran	"Lady Yukari's reach is larger than some might expect. It is merely her grasp that is short."
[23:12]	Ran	"Usually."
[23:12]	Ran	adds, as an afterthought.
[23:13]	Ran	"But we do do our best not to attract undue attention, if we can help it. If would be most unseemly, as you'd expect."
[23:13]	Kai	nods.
[23:13]	Kai	I can imagine all too well just what the Outside world might do if the existence of Gensokyo became common.
[23:15]	Ran	narrows her gaze at Kai. He may or may not remember that she is slightly taller than him, and right now it's showing.
[23:16]	Ran	"As can I, Master Kai. As can I."
[23:17]	Ran	"Commit that imagination to your memory."
[23:18]	Kai	I can assure you I will; Gensokyo's secret is safe with me.
[23:19]	Ran	nods, and the tension seems fade. She even seems a little shorter now, or is she just slouching?
[23:20]	Ran	"That secret resides in all of us, from the first to the last. And as that secret resides in all of us, so too does The Border."
[23:21]	Ran	waves an arm out across the sky to illustrate.
[23:22]	Ran	"When there is no longer a secret, there is no longer a Border."
[23:22]	Kai	I see.
[23:23]	Ran	"Will that be all, Master Kai?"
[23:24]	Kai	That's all the business I have, I suppose, though I always have questions.
[23:25]	Ran	"That is normal."
[23:27]	Ran	"I am curious... How are your magical studies progressing?"
[23:27]	Kai	beams.
[23:27]	Kai	Somewhat well.
[23:28]	Kai	gathers wind around himself, lifting several feet into the air. With a bit of fine control, he gets several fallen leaves to circle in front of him.
[23:29]	Ran	nods. It's hard to tell if she's impressed, or just being polite.
[23:30]	Kai	falls to the ground again.
[23:30]	Kai	It's really not much at all, but it's all amazing to me.
[23:30]	Kai	You can probably level this forest, or something.
[23:31]	Ran	looks out at said forest.
[23:31]	Ran	"...Or something~"
[23:31]	Kai	smiles. It's nice to see one apparently as duty-bound as her to relax,e ven if only a bit.
[23:32]	Ran	decides not to level this forest. Or maybe she can't. Which one could it be...?
[23:32]	Ran	"Regardless, one divided by infinity, while infinitesimal, is infinitely larger than zero."
[23:33]	Ran	"You have every right to be amazed at your progress, Master Kai."
[23:34]	Kai	Thank you.
[23:34]	Kai	does a slight bow.
[23:35]	Marisa	"Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaai!"
[23:35]	Marisa	"Can you be a dear and get me something cool to driiink?"
[23:35]	Marisa	makes use of her disciple.
[23:35]	Ran	raises her head, listening to Marisa.
[23:37]	Ran	"Ever the resourceful one, that child. Even if those resources are not exactly her property."
[23:37]	Ran	smirks.
[23:38]	Kai	Well, it's a fair trade if you ask me.
[23:39]	Kai	A little hard labor for learning mystical skills?
[23:39]	Kai	simply nods.
[23:39]	Kai	If you're staying, I'll be back shortly.
[23:39]	Ran	"I'm afraid I cannot. A servant's work is never done."
[23:40]	Ran	"But, here..."
[23:41]	Ran	reaches back into her sleeve, and extracts a pleasant-looking pink drink in a tall glass, complete with ice and a slice of lime.
[23:41]	Ran	"On the house~"
[23:41]	Kai	takes the drink.
[23:41]	Kai	What is this?
[23:42]	Ran	just smiles calmly.
[23:42]	Ran	"Something cool to driiiink, of course~ I thought you might have need of it."
[23:43]	Ran	"Have a nice day."
[23:43]	Kai	You too; I hope we meet again.
[23:43]	Kai	Thank you, once more.
[23:44]	Ran	"Think nothing of it."
[23:46]	Ran	turns and walks back over the hill and out of sight. She notices that gap is still there, and frowns.
[23:46]	Ran	{"...If you keep forgetting, Yukari, who knows WHAT could just wander through?"}
[23:47]	Ran	sighs and jumps back through, closing it behind her.
[23:56]	Kai	watches her go before returning inside Marisa's abode.
[23:59]	Marisa	"Hey, you were speaking with someone?"
[00:05]	Kai	Ran dropped by, but only for a moment.
[00:08]	Marisa	"Oh? What's she nee--?"
[00:08]	Marisa	"Hey, what's that?"
[00:08]	Marisa	points at whatever Kai's holding.
[00:08]	Kai	A little gift, apparently.
[00:08]	Kai	produces the drink.
[00:09]	Marisa	"Ohhhh. She sure knows the proper etiquette. I'll take this as a token of gratitude then!"
[00:09]	Marisa	gimme!
[00:11]	Kai	Not sharing even a drop?
[00:11]	Kai	mainly pokes fun, but still is curious as to how it tastes.
[00:17]	Marisa	"Wha-? You want an indirect kiss?"
[00:17]	Marisa	pokes fun at Kai back.
[00:29]	Kai	That's hardly necessary.
[00:29]	Kai	There are these things called glasses; you may have heard of them.
[00:29]	Kai	counterpokes!
[00:34]	Marisa	"Are you a real man? Who drinks liquor using a glass?!"
[00:35]	Kai	Last I checked, pretty much everyone uses a glass of some sort.
[00:36]	Marisa	"Fiiiiine."
[00:36]	Marisa	"Just a bit, okay?"
[00:36]	Marisa	flick her hand, and two crystal glasses floats from the kitchen into her hand.
[00:36]	Marisa	"There."
[00:39]	Kai	pours some for both of them.
[00:40]	Marisa	"So what's this called?"
[00:41]	Kai	She didn't say.
[00:42]	Marisa	"Hmmmmmmmmm?"
[00:43]	Marisa	"So you are drinking -unknown substance- from -Yukari's lackey-?"
[00:43]	Marisa	"You sure have guts."
[00:44]	Kai	I figured she wouldn't try to poison us or anything, considering the situation.
[00:47]	Marisa	"Heh. I am a woman with the guts as big as a cyberdemon."
[00:47]	Marisa	"So I'll have one."
[00:48]	Marisa	grab one filled glass.
[00:49]	Kai	takes the other.
[00:49]	Kai	Cheers, I guess?
[00:49]	Marisa	"In your language, yup."
[00:49]	Marisa	"Cheers!"
[00:50]	Marisa	[Clank!]
[00:51]	Marisa	take a swig.
[00:51]	Marisa	"Hah, sweet little thing..."
[00:51]	Kai	takes a smaller gulp.
[00:53]	Kai	It's nice, though.
[00:56]	Marisa	"I wonder why it's pink..."
[01:01]	Kai	So do I...
[01:01]	Marisa	[Time passes. Many swigs also passes.]
[01:02]	Marisa	"Ayyyyy! Pink booze ish so sweet!"
[01:02]	Marisa	"Bet issa filled 'o love!"

[01:04]	Kai	drank considerably less, though he's still a tad rosy-cheeked.
[01:05]	Kai	Well, it certainly tastes good.
[01:07]	Marisa	"S'course! I mean, I'm LOVE MAGE, ze! I like love-colored liquor spark!"
[01:07]	Marisa	"Aaaagh. Dizzy."
[01:08]	Marisa	leans on Kai.
[01:09]	Kai	's blush is reinforced, just barely.
[01:09]	Kai	Jeez, you had a lot~
[01:10]	Marisa	"Mmmngh. What's wrong with enjoyin' life?"
[01:11]	Kai	Well, nothin'.
[01:11]	Kai	You're gonna have one heck of a headache, though.
[01:12]	Marisa	"Whit you 'round... I got notta thing to fear..."
[01:12]	Marisa	"You 'nna take care of me, yah?"
[01:12]	Marisa	nuzzle. Aaaah. Warm pillow...
[01:15]	Kai	feels just a little warmer from her proximity, the alcohol, and the situation combined.
[01:16]	Kai	... Sure.
[01:16]	Marisa	"..."
[01:16]	Marisa	has gone quiet.
[01:16]	Marisa	...and soon followed by steady breathing rhythm.
[01:17]	Marisa	"Fwah..."
[01:18]	Kai	whispers to himself.
[01:18]	Kai	ah, jeez...
[01:22]	Kai	shakes his head to clear it before trying to pick her up.
[01:23]	Marisa	is surprisingly light.
[01:23]	Kai	turns her around, and carefully lifts her, princess-style.
[01:23]	Kai	alright...
[01:23]	Kai	trudges up to her room.
[01:27]	Marisa	[The room is as clean as it was the last time she lent him, except books scattering here and there.]
[01:31]	Kai	can't quite make out most of the book stacks, so he shuffles as carefully as he can towards the bed.
[01:33]	Marisa	"Nnngh..."
[01:33]	Marisa	grabs Kai's sleeve tightly.
[01:34]	Kai	Hm?
[01:35]	Marisa	seems like she don't want to be separated from this warm object...
[01:36]	Kai	lightly tries to pry her off.
[01:36]	Kai	Oh, come on, now...
[01:36]	Marisa	"Auuuugh..."
[01:37]	Marisa	's iron grip locked him tight.
[01:37]	Kai	:T's.
[01:37]	Kai	Come ooon, Marisaaaa...
[01:38]	Marisa	"Zzz..."
[01:38]	Marisa	does not open to complaints!
[01:38]	Kai	tries just a little more forcefully.
[01:40]	Marisa	[Your resistance only make her grips harder!]
[01:40]	Kai	Come ooonnn...
[01:40]	Kai	Argh.
[01:44]	Kai	awkwardly kneels beside Marisa's bed and tries to flop her onto it as gently as possible.
[01:46]	Marisa	rolls on her back with ger grip locked tight.
[01:46]	Marisa	"Zzz..."
[01:46]	Marisa	"Don't... go... zzz..."
[01:48]	Kai	Arrrrgh...
[01:48]	Kai	sighs and facepalms with his spare hand.
[01:50]	Kai	snatches a pillow off of Marisa's bed and tries to lie down on the floor without pulling Marisa off too...
[01:58]	Marisa	is being pulled down. This is a problem.
[01:58]	Kai	aborts after finding that it probably will. After awkwardly stretching, though, he manages to retrieve an armchair and settles down.
[02:00]	Kai	looks over at Marisa's sleeping form.
[02:02]	Marisa	is so defenseless for a powerful blaster mage like her...
[02:04]	Kai	shifts in frustration.
[02:05]	Kai	. o O ( Why is it that every girl I meet here is so blasted cute!? )
[02:06]	Kai	settles back into his chair, opting to simply sit beside her for the night. It would be unforgivable to take advantage of someone like this, especially after being drunk.
[02:08]	Kai	can't quite get his mind of the topic of love, though. After brooding upon a lack of it for some time, he drifts off to sleep.
[02:13]	Marisa	sighs happily, as this is the first time in god knows how long with someone sleeping besides her...
