  8. [2012-06-24 03:13:26] <AMARDA_GM> When we last left our heroes, Grand_Finale was about to get it on, Midnight_Rain had saved somepony of maybe some importance and both Dusk_Beam and Shade were dragged into a boutique while looking for dresses. And thus, we begin several hours later.

  10. [2012-06-24 03:16:21] <AMARDA_GM> It is now late afternoon, and it is now becoming apparent that getting some accommodation would be prudent.
  11. [2012-06-24 03:17:30] <AMARDA_GM> Oh yes, and Haywire nearly moaned in delight at watching the machine make a small spark battery. Bolt promptly told him to leave.
  12. [2012-06-24 03:20:02] * Terminal continues in her desperate quest to figure out which of her hooves is infected. So far she isn't having much luck since her legs don't bend that way.
  13. [2012-06-24 03:20:57] * Shade` is wandering around with Dusk_Beam, still on there quest of dire importance, getting this mare a nice dress!
  14. [2012-06-24 03:21:37] * Midnight_Rain enters the dress store "Shade Dusk how goes the shopping?"
  15. [2012-06-24 03:21:58] <Shade`> "Shoppingly."
  16. [2012-06-24 03:22:10] * Dusk_Beam nods. "Shoppingly"
  17. [2012-06-24 03:22:17] * Shade` looks over her shoulder and sticks out her tongue at Midnight_Rain
  18. [2012-06-24 03:23:14] * Midnight_Rain just sticks her tongue out at Shade` "I'm going to go check on Terminal and maybe get some sleep this wound hurts so laying down should help it."
  19. [2012-06-24 03:23:48] * Grand_Finale grummbles to himself as he feels the rapidly approching sensation of awakeness. Squishing his eyes tight Grand tries to fight off conciousness but fails, details starting to come into focus. The soft bed, the damp air, pain from his training, a warm leg wrapped around him...
  20. [2012-06-24 03:24:05] * Shade` frowns "...wound?"
  21. [2012-06-24 03:24:48] <Midnight_Rain> "I got shot in a fight with slavers but i got to save some ponies so i think i'll be fine."
  22. [2012-06-24 03:25:04] * Haywire takes another look at the map and walks down the shopping district. "...now, I don't think I have anything to detect radiation with. Something I should have packed with me, by the way, a big oversight. Where would I find such device?" He looks around, pondering.
  23. [2012-06-24 03:25:25] * Dusk_Beam stops in her tracks. "No no no, stay where you are Midnight." She turns around to face you. "Let me have a look."
  24. [2012-06-24 03:25:44] * Shade` 's frown deepens
  25. [2012-06-24 03:25:45] * Grand_Finale opens his eyes quickly at that last revelation, spotting the striped leg on his shoulder. Suddenly memories from the last few hours started to come back into focus. Wow... he had nailed Zaliz, presumably with his 'wife' only a few rooms away
  26. [2012-06-24 03:25:57] * Terminal has somehow gotten flipped onto her back in an attempt to see the bottom of her hoove, only to be distracted by ZE SHINY THING.
  27. [2012-06-24 03:26:51] <Midnight_Rain> "I'll be fine Dusk i want to get back to Terminal i don't trust the Slavers won't try anything."
  28. [2012-06-24 03:26:53] <AMARDA_GM> Zaliz is gently nuzzling the back of Grand_Finale. He seems totally relaxed, his breathing even and peaceful. The room Grand_Finale is in is through a different door to the one that Zaliz's wife retreated through when you first entered.
  29. [2012-06-24 03:27:56] * Dusk_Beam looks at Midnight_Rain with concern. "You sure..? Don't want it to get infectet.. And this air is not really helping.." She says, waving a hoof towards the swamp all around them.
  30. [2012-06-24 03:28:02] <Dusk_Beam> infected*
  31. [2012-06-24 03:29:27] * Terminal rapidly transitions back to sleep when the shiny thing turns out to just be the one on her armor reflecting some light.
  32. [2012-06-24 03:29:36] * Grand_Finale lets out a sigh as he relaxes from his initial shock. It had been a while since he had woken up with somepony wrapped around him, longer still since it had happened in a bed. Scootching closer to the warm zebra Grand looks around the room, suddenly curious what a zebra warriors bedroom would look like.
  33. [2012-06-24 03:29:54] <AMARDA_GM> Haywire's searchings lead him to a Unicorn trader selling simple gems that light up when the wearer is radiated. They are crude, colour coded trinkets, but they seem reliable and easy to manage. Each one is selling for fifty caps apiece, and already four ponies have come and gone from the stall with them dangling around their neck.
  34. [2012-06-24 03:30:12] <Midnight_Rain> "Yeah your right but just a quick look i don't want to leave her alone in this weird place."
  35. [2012-06-24 03:30:57] * Dusk_Beam slowly aproaches Midnight_Rain. Doing a quick checkup to see how she's been hurt, and if any treatment is needed.
  36. [2012-06-24 03:31:08] <AMARDA_GM> The walls of Zaliz's room are covered in more murals, similar to the ones where Grand and Zaliz had trained.
  37. [2012-06-24 03:31:53] <Shade`> "Sweetie, You'd have to be a fool to mess with Terminal, but I understand, I worry about her, too. Dusk and I will try to join you as soon as we finish this."
  38. [2012-06-24 03:32:56] <Midnight_Rain> "Shade one of them kept trying to kill me before i got a chance to talk so yes i do think they are crazy."
  39. [2012-06-24 03:33:44] <AMARDA_GM> Midnight_Rain's wound looks rather bad. It's surprising that she isn't yowling in pain, although that could just be sheer force of will.
  40. [2012-06-24 03:33:45] * Grand_Finale chuckles as he realizes that he cant actually remember where his cloths are. Lifting his head Grand looks around the room for his effects, careful not to disturb Zaliz. From what Grand had seen this was the most peacful he had seen the zebra, he really didnt want to wake him up just yet.
  41. [2012-06-24 03:34:06] * Terminal is a good filly and hasn't moved beyond wallowing about slightly.
  42. [2012-06-24 03:34:53] <AMARDA_GM> Grand sees that he left his clothing all over the place. He was rather untidy when in a bit of a rush.
  43. [2012-06-24 03:34:56] * Shade` trots closer to get a better look for herself. She wasn't a medical pony, but she'd been shot at plenty before.
  44. [2012-06-24 03:35:51] <AMARDA_GM> Zaliz begins to stir, his eyes opening slowly. "Grand? You awake?" He asks in a voice that's totally different from the training.
  45. [2012-06-24 03:36:03] * Haywire counts his caps, sighing and shaking his head. "This place is making matters very difficult." He turns to the trader. "Anyway, I'd like one of these talismans..." He drops the contents of the bag of caps by the unicorn, taking just three back.
  46. [2012-06-24 03:37:06] <AMARDA_GM> The unicorn smiles and levitates one of the orbs around Haywire's neck. He then places his horn against the orb and with a small flash, it starts working.
  47. [2012-06-24 03:37:24] * Grand_Finale lowers his head back down onto the pillow, trying to be careful as possible when he heard the zebras voice. So much for plesant dreams. Turing his head around to look at Zaliz Grand smiles, "Sure am, I didnt wake you did I? You looked so peacful I tried my best to be quiet..."
  48. [2012-06-24 03:37:34] * Shade` whispers something loud enough for only Midnight_Rain and Dusk_Beam to hear
  49. [2012-06-24 03:38:26] <AMARDA_GM> Zaliz just reached his hooves out and drags Grand into a rather large hug.
  50. [2012-06-24 03:38:31] * Dusk_Beam looks at Shade, confused but nods slowly. Whispering something back.
  51. [2012-06-24 03:39:38] * Midnight_Rain stops a second to think about this and then whispers something back to Shade
  52. [2012-06-24 03:40:22] * Grand_Finale allows himself to be pulled into the zebra's embrace, nuzzuling Zaliz and takeing in his sent. "Been a while?"
  53. [2012-06-24 03:40:36] * Shade` giggles at Dusk_Beam "Well, I'm not exactly made of caps, but unless this place price gouges we should be able to find you something nice and...(*Sunglasses* no not really.) Bugger off."
  54. [2012-06-24 03:43:23] <AMARDA_GM> Zaliz kisses Grand then gets up. "It has been, pleasurable teaching you, and it has also been nice to connect with another stallion again." He slowly grabs all of Grand's clothing. "But, I must ask you to leave now, I have things to be doing." He seems odd in his speech. "Please return in the future, you will always be welcome in my house."
  55. [2012-06-24 03:43:44] * Dusk_Beam nods. "Let's find something. Perhaps stock up a little on medical supplies anyway.." She shakes her forhoof gently, her contents in teh hoofpouch rustling slightly. "We never had a lot in the first place."
  56. [2012-06-24 03:44:24] <Midnight_Rain> "I have two Health Potions on me right now."
  57. [2012-06-24 03:44:58] <Shade`> "Save 'em."
  58. [2012-06-24 03:45:16] * Haywire turns back to the market street. The night soon will be over Hoof Rot. "Well, it wouldn't be prudent exploring at this time..." He takes a quick glance around for his companions.
  59. [2012-06-24 03:45:25] * Grand_Finale raises a brow as his things are deposited before him in a pile. Grand knew he liked the shy zebra in the bed, but this seemed more like trainer Zaliz, and grand wasnt sure he liked that Zaliz. Shruging Grand begins to dress himself.
  60. [2012-06-24 03:45:32] * Dusk_Beam cocks an eyebrow. "You got shot and didn't take a healing potion?" Shrugs.
  61. [2012-06-24 03:46:21] <Midnight_Rain> "Sure Dusk and you have twenty more to replace mine."
  62. [2012-06-24 03:46:21] <AMARDA_GM> The Sheriff, who no pony has yet asked his name, enters the bar where Terminal is staying. "Oi, big green. You strong? I need a helping hoof pulling in something I found."
  63. [2012-06-24 03:46:23] * Shade` scratches her mane "Uh...Guess we'll meet at that bar from earlier?"
  64. [2012-06-24 03:46:35] * Grand_Finale "Speeking of returning again Zaliz", began Grand as he started to buckle his saddle bags. "I dont really have a place to stay, being new in town, so I was wondering if... It wasnt to much trouble..."
  65. [2012-06-24 03:47:17] * Midnight_Rain heads to teh door "Yeah" then to east hoof rot to check on Terminal
  66. [2012-06-24 03:47:51] <AMARDA_GM> Zaliz sighs. "I'm sorry, but I can not let you stay here." He reaches out with a hoof to place it on Grand's shoulder. "Please comeback tomorrow, I will look forward to you visiting."
  67. [2012-06-24 03:48:14] * Shade` turns to Dusk_Beam "Well, lets get to looking in earnest, shall we?"
  68. [2012-06-24 03:48:48] * Terminal opens an eye, "Me? I guess?"
  69. [2012-06-24 03:49:15] * Grand_Finale nods, he had expected this. Instinctivly he wanted to hug or even kiss the zebra but the way Zlaiz had retreated into himself... It gave grand pause. Sighing Grand smiles and makes for the door, "Ill see you tommorow then!"
  70. [2012-06-24 03:49:20] * Dusk_Beam grins. "Right.. Let's get this done with.." She flaps her wings absentmindly. Then does all the shopping.
  71. [2012-06-24 03:49:27] <AMARDA_GM> The Sheriff nods. "Good, what ever I found is heavy." He motions for Terminal to follow him.
  72. [2012-06-24 03:50:12] * Terminal scrambles to her hooves, stretching to get the kinks out before following the nice pony she doesn't really remember having met before.
  73. [2012-06-24 03:51:08] <Haywire> Having found nopony, Haywire trots his way back to the tavern, losing himself to his thoughts along the way.
  74. [2012-06-24 03:51:16] * Midnight_Rain gets back to east hoof rot and meets up with Terminal "Hey."
  75. [2012-06-24 03:52:07] <AMARDA_GM> Outside the bar, Terminal spots a series of ropes and pulleys that are attached to a rather large metal crate. The Sheriff points out one rope, then goes and grabs another. "On the count of one, start pulling. Three, two, one!"
  76. [2012-06-24 03:53:59] * Terminal waves at Midnight_Rain before grabbing a rope with her mouth. She recognizes the signal and starts pulling before she can actually say anything.
  77. [2012-06-24 03:54:56] * Grand_Finale isnt but halfway up the stairs to the shop above when he realizes he left his lucky bandana somewhere below in Zaliz's place. Pausing for a second Grand considers going back before blowing a loose strand of his unrully main out of his face and continueing on.
  78. [2012-06-24 03:55:30] * Grand_Finale stepping out into the shop Grand looks around, not really wanting to see the two shop-keepers but sure he will.
  79. [2012-06-24 03:56:57] <AMARDA_GM> Grand_Finale upon leaving the store, manages to spot Haywire leaving the northern part of town.
  80. [2012-06-24 03:57:26] <AMARDA_GM> Terminal's strength is more than enough, and together the two ponies make short work of the task.
  81. [2012-06-24 03:58:14] * Grand_Finale having not seen anypony ells so far from his group rushes to catch up with the self-modeled science pony. If nothing ells Haywire may know where everypony ells was or even pass on a message. "Heywire, hold up!"
  82. [2012-06-24 03:59:16] <Grand_Finale> *Haywire
  83. [2012-06-24 04:00:44] * Terminal pulled the box! Yay! She stops when asked, after maybe the third time, and rushes back to the pegasus pony, "Hi Midnight_Rain! Did you see me! I pulled that heavy thing pretty far!"
  84. [2012-06-24 04:01:41] * Haywire pops out of his thoughts, looking back. "What is the matter?"
  85. [2012-06-24 04:01:45] * Midnight_Rain chuckles a little bit with a smile on her face "Yes you did do a great job Terminal."
  86. [2012-06-24 04:02:25] <AMARDA_GM> Shade and Dusk_Beam find one of the stores that visited earliera nd spot a reasonably priced set of dresses in the window. The pony behind the counter doesn't know the exact value of the nail gun though, and decides a one for one trade is better than none.
  87. [2012-06-24 04:02:55] * Shade` is more than fine with this.
  88. [2012-06-24 04:03:08] * Grand_Finale slows as he catches up with Haywire, "Nothing Wire, just wanted to catchyou before you got to far. There are some parts of this place Im not really welcome in. Anyway what are you up to, have you seen any of the others?"
  89. [2012-06-24 04:03:15] * Dusk_Beam starts nuzzling and looking through the various of dresses before settling for one she likes. It's a simple black dress made from a sturdier material so it din't tear as easily. She smiles at Shade. "I.. I would like this one, Shade. If you don't mind."
  90. [2012-06-24 04:04:44] * Terminal frowns. Something's wrong with the other mare.
  91. [2012-06-24 04:05:01] <Terminal> "Did.... you change your mane style, Midnight?"
  92. [2012-06-24 04:06:11] * Midnight_Rain lessens her smile to a small one "No."
  93. [2012-06-24 04:06:18] * Shade` smiles "Looks good" me decides on a red one for herself, and picks another one out (Colour to be determined later) for Midnight.
  94. [2012-06-24 04:07:04] * Terminal tilts her head to the side, trying to figure out what Midnight has changed about herself...
  95. [2012-06-24 04:07:49] <Terminal> "Do you want me to do something with it?"
  96. [2012-06-24 04:08:47] * Midnight_Rain looks at Terminal with a straight face "Terminal i was shot by slavers."
  97. [2012-06-24 04:09:40] <AMARDA_GM> The Sheriff behind where Terminal and Midnight_Rain are talking begins trying to open the crate/container. After several tries he finally get it open. Immediately after opening it, he lets out a whistle of appreciation.
  98. [2012-06-24 04:10:35] * Haywire cannot contain the smile as he speaks. "I have been studying on a workshop with some very coo- ahem! Fascinating machinery. Pre war technology you can't find just anywhere. The gentleponies at the workshop even indicated to me where I may find a rare pre war artifact... though technically I'm suppose to give it to them and the location where it is is filled with radiation." He adjusts his goggles. "Not that it is a problem."
  99. [2012-06-24 04:11:05] * Dusk_Beam watches Shade picks a dress for herself and Midnight. Paying for the lot they both leave the store with their newly aquired garments.
  100. [2012-06-24 04:11:28] <Terminal> "Oh! I thought that was paint!"
  101. [2012-06-24 04:12:38] * Shade` trots alongside Dusk, smiling happily.
  102. [2012-06-24 04:13:00] * Terminal frowns <Do you need, um, bandages then? We know ponies do not heal from radiation>
  103. [2012-06-24 04:13:24] * Haywire shakes his hoof. "I don't know where the others are, though. They were on the north district. My guess is that they are somewhere more private now, if their previous behavior is any indication."
  104. [2012-06-24 04:13:43] * Grand_Finale smiles as he sees how excited the science-pony is. This boded well with his plans to talk the others into staying longer in hoof-rot. Now he just had to hope the others are like minded.
  105. [2012-06-24 04:14:39] <Haywire> "...well, not necessarily private."
  106. [2012-06-24 04:14:50] * Grand_Finale nods, "That souds great, although you would be hard pressed to have had a better day than me. So radiation eh? sounds dangerous, you getting paid for this outing of yours?"
  107. [2012-06-24 04:15:17] * Midnight_Rain looks grim at Terminal "I'll be fine Dusk and Shade will be here soon to treat it but right now i guess you can already tell whats wrong."
  108. [2012-06-24 04:15:22] * Grand_Finale wonders now what Haywire was talking about, was he not the only one getting tail in this town?
  109. [2012-06-24 04:15:22] * Dusk_Beam smiles, looking at Shade. "Sooo, supplies next? Or do you want to go back to the bar?" She asks.
  110. [2012-06-24 04:16:26] * Shade` bites her cheek in thought "Personally, I'd like to get back to Midnight. We're going to be here for another day so supplies can wait until tomorrow."
  111. [2012-06-24 04:17:00] <Terminal> <You have been shot? We are unfortunately unable to help more then providing snuggles, unless you desire the release of death>
  112. [2012-06-24 04:18:14] * Dusk_Beam nods. "Right! Let's go back, maybe Terminal has woken up now." She grins. Starting to make her way back at a slow pace.
  113. [2012-06-24 04:19:24] * Shade` keeps on walking alongside Dusk
  114. [2012-06-24 04:19:24] <Midnight_Rain> "Well death does sound okay but the reason i am here is to help keep you safe from any more slavers."
  115. [2012-06-24 04:20:20] <AMARDA_GM> The Sheriff who up until now had been admiring the container suddenly rushes up next to Midnight. "Slavers? What about salvers?"
  116. [2012-06-24 04:20:26] * Terminal 's armor rustles as wings move about beneath <We do not require protection as much as thou requires medical attention. Snuggles?>
  117. [2012-06-24 04:21:11] * Midnight_Rain smiles at Terminal 's thought and nods yes to it "They were attacking this mare and foal but i beat them."
  118. [2012-06-24 04:21:25] * Terminal turns to the stallion that wanted her to pull stuff <Midnight_Rain was shot by somepony.... I wonder why no policemares interceded?>
  119. [2012-06-24 04:22:05] <Haywire> "Is that so?" He says, skeptically, his day was far beyond any expectation. "Anyway, there are no caps involved. Thankfully... well, maybe regrettably too. I am getting some compensation, if that's what you are wondering."
  120. [2012-06-24 04:22:07] * Dusk_Beam and Shade makes their way back to the bar. Still carying her barding under her wing she makes a note to wash it the first thing in the morning.
  121. [2012-06-24 04:22:57] <AMARDA_GM> The sheriff looks at Midnight darkly. "Mare and Foal? Might have to go looking into this, see why I wasn't contacted."
  122. [2012-06-24 04:23:15] * Shade` nudges Dusk_Beam with her flank as they walk "So, happy now that you've got a nice dress?"
  123. [2012-06-24 04:23:34] <Midnight_Rain> "There was a griffon who thanked me for saving them and gave me some caps."
  124. [2012-06-24 04:24:13] <Terminal> <That sounds.... unusual...>
  125. [2012-06-24 04:24:40] <AMARDA_GM> The stalion nods. "Services rendered, probably merc." He slowly begins to pace. "Would have to be important, must have done something to piss some pony off."
  126. [2012-06-24 04:25:47] <Midnight_Rain> "Stupid Slavers got what they needed but i didn't get a chance to loot them before i was pinned."
  127. [2012-06-24 04:26:03] * Grand_Finale nods, "Well thats good, getting some work. Im trying to get some leads myself. Turns out this place is pretty swank, better than you would think anyway will being in the middle of a swamp flooded with corpses. With your scientific endevers and my... well my training, I think we should settle down here for a while"

  129. [2012-06-24 04:26:42] * Dusk_Beam gives Shade a wide smile and a wink. "Very! And will look gorgeous in yours." She keeps trotting happily. A stupid grin on her face.

  131. [2012-06-24 04:27:17] * Midnight_Rain lays down that wound must have done a lot to her "Only two Terminal ."
  132. [2012-06-24 04:27:27] * Terminal thinks of that poor, unlooted loot and nearly weeps. Instead, she just nuzzles Midnight_Rain in the least painful way possible.
  133. [2012-06-24 04:27:47] * Shade` grins as well "We'll all look damned good, Dusk."
  134. [2012-06-24 04:28:25] * Grand_Finale " we should try and talk the others into sticking around, For scientific purposes of course. Am I right?"
  135. [2012-06-24 04:28:40] * Haywire frowns, puzzled. "You want to stay in this place? What about your life from before?"
  136. [2012-06-24 04:29:19] * Midnight_Rain looks to be at the end of her will the pain seems to be bad if the wound has anything to do with it "Terminal can you help me up? I don't want to look weak to our friends."
