2.
Welcome to the Awesome Games Done FAQ! If this is your first time checking out a Games Done Quick event (or even if it isn't!), you might be a
3. little bit confused about all of our resources outside the main stream. Well worry no more, as we've compiled all these resources into one easy to use guide!

4.
5.
6.
When does Awesome Games Done Quick 2015 take place? Where can I watch AGDQ 2015?

7.
AGDQ 2015 starts on Sunday, January 4th, 2015 at 12 PM Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5). It runs until the night of January 10th, where estimates put a wrap up time of approximately 2 AM Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5). Additionally, a much shorter bonus stream will start midday on January 11th.
8.
The stream is viewable from the Games Done Quick homepage, as well as directly from the Games Done Quick Twitch account.

10.
11.
Can I attend Awesome Games Done Quick 2015?? Where does AGDQ 2015 take place? How can I register? Is there a registration cap?

12.

13. Of course! Awesome Games Done Quick 2015 takes place in Herndon, Virginia at the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport hotel. They were kind enough to offer a special low-price room package with breakfast included, so make any reservations with our special Awesome Games Done Quick promo code.
14.
It's highly recommended that all attendees check out the Games Done Quick forum on Speed Demos Archive, which is viewable here.
15.
Registration for the event is done through the Games Done Quick website and should become available mid-November. Details on pricing, refunds, and payment methods can be found here. Note that there is an attendee cap of 920 people. While we don't expect to hit this cap, it's important to register early in case we do approach it.
16.

17.
18.
I can attend, but I'd like some extra information on getting to Awesome Games Done Quick 2015. Where should I fly into? What's the best way to get from the airport to the hotel? Where can I find roommates or additional AGDQ attendance information?

19.
The easiest airport to fly into is the Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). The Hilton Washington Dulles offers a complimentary shuttle that runs between 4 AM and 1 AM with explicit service to and from the Washington Dulles International Airport. There are additional airports in the greater metropolitan area such as the Reagan National Airport and Baltimore Washington International Airport, but shuttle service does not extend to those airports.
20.
21. There are many more resources dedicated to Games Done Quick available on the Speed Demos Archive forum dedicated to Games Done Quick. Resources vary from event-related activities such as the AGDQ 2015 schedule, personal planning of food and roommates, to side-activities such as Super Mash Bros. Melee tournaments and a community-planned outdoor run.
22.

23.
24.
25.
Where is the schedule available?

26.
The schedule is available here! Adjustments are likely to be made to this schedule, and eventually the schedule will move from a placeholder Google Doc to the Games Done Quick Website.

27.
28. h3 class="text-gdq-black">How do I donate?

29.
Information on how to donate will be revealed as we approach the start of Awesome Games Done Quick 2015. Donations will be processed via PayPal, but done through the Games Done Quick website. This allows us to track donations, donation incentives, bid wars, and donation comments!

30.
31.
What’s a donation incentive? Bid war? Comments?

32.
33.
Throughout the event we’ll be having challenges that can be funded via your donations! For examples of past donation incentives, check out theSummer Games 2014 donation tracker. The donation incentives vary
34. greatly, from having runners attempt difficult challenges, bidding to name some of your favorite
35. characters, or even getting into a bid war against other donors!
36.
37.
The bid wars are a donation competition. Some games have been pre-arranged with runners to be decided by donation, while certain run categories, character names, colors, or a wide aspect of game qualities are decided by bid war. The tracker will have a full list of available bid wars and donation incentives at the start of AGDQ 2015.
38.
39.
Donors have the option to leave a comment while donating. We'll try to read some of these comments aloud, process others to the donation ticker available on the Games Done Quick front page, and get awesome messages out there. Unfortunately due to the number of comments we can sometimes get swept up, but we still process every donation incentive, and try to makes as many comments available as possible.
40.

41.
42.
43.
I love GDQs! Is there any place I can watch past marathons?

44.
The two official sources of Games Done Quick VoDs are the Games Done Quick Youtube and Archive.Org. Currently only VoDs from Summer Games Done Quick 2014 are available on the GamesDoneQuick YouTube account, but high quality VoDs are available from Archive.org.

45.
46.
Hey I have an unanswered question about Awesome Games Done Quick, or Games Done Quick in general. Are there any additional resources or people I can ask for help?

47.
The two best ways to seek GDQ help is via the Speed Demos Archive forum dedicated to Games Done Quick, and Twitter via @GamesDoneQuick.
48.

49.
50.
And speaking of Twitter...

51.
Make sure you follow @GamesDoneQuick! We'll be giving you
52. frequent updates on the marathon, keeping you up to date with the current game, key donation
53. goals, upcoming incentives, light hearted banter, you name it!
54. When tweeting about the marathon, make sure to use the hashtag #AGDQ2015. Let's get as many
55. people involved as we can!

56.
Well that’s fine and dandy, but is there anything extra going on with Twitter?

57.
Of course! It's the easiest way to keep up to date with events happening around GDQs such as the Showcase Races that let us bring top runners together outside of GDQ events. Additionally, we’ll be doing some Twitter specific giveaways. Our Twitter giveaways will require you
58. to follow the account and either retweet a @GamesDoneQuick
59. tweet, or tweet using a special hashtag. The giveaways will be fast, so be on the look out!

60.
61.
62.
I'd like to lodge a complaint!

63.
Mistakes can and will happen. We're not perfect. If we were, watching speedruns would get pretty
64. stale! If something's gone wrong (especially if you see a typo on this page), send an e-mail to ChrisDGrant@GamesDoneQuick.com. There will be additional ways to discuss issues once Awesome Games Done Quick 2015 begins.
