  13. 17:15 - NovaCrusade: and the crew side-on action would be neat, pitting two teams of each race and their advantages/disadvantages against eachother to see who wins in a boarding battle

  23. 17:17 - NovaCrusade: would this be art styled in the sense of gunpoint, or more of a java type thing with ragdoll physics; kinda akin to happy wheels without the dismemberment

  48. 17:20 - Paddon: And maybe you could get some expensive equipment like demo charges that you could plant on the bridge that comes across

  50. 17:20 - Paddon: If you didnt want to risk your people

  56. 17:21 - NovaCrusade: so far it doesnt seem like it. It'd just be coding for the events that happen, if they are available
  57. 17:21 - Paddon: I'd need to think of some semi-original minigame to determine how well you do
  58. 17:21 - Paddon: but I don't really want to copy Ironcast's
  59. 17:22 - NovaCrusade: yeah, i dont think that form of minigame would roll well with your concept
  60. 17:22 - Paddon: I wonder if I could do that bridge minigame but more bridges come down as if it's a match 3 game
  61. 17:22 - Paddon: And your systems are on the other side
  62. 17:22 - Paddon: and you need to match them up to power them

  64. 17:22 - Paddon: So it would be quite based on skill
  65. 17:23 - Paddon: and you could upgrade the power distributor or something to increase your chances in it
  66. 17:23 - NovaCrusade: yeah either this could be skill based, or RNG based dependant on NPC skill
  67. 17:23 - Paddon: Not sure what i'd do with the NPCs

  69. 17:23 - NovaCrusade: but the latter would be more of a ftl knock off
  70. 17:23 - Paddon: Based on their skills
  71. 17:24 - NovaCrusade: race would determine skills too, as well as base rng for point allocation

  73. 17:24 - NovaCrusade: unless you plan on it just being humans

  303. 00:35 - NovaCrusade: okay maybe look up a youtube vid of that. basically they're very fast skill games, each one different
  304. 00:35 - NovaCrusade: and they come randomly
  305. 00:35 - NovaCrusade: so maybe what you could have is like some sorta makeshift HUD display for the npc's manning the weapons
  306. 00:36 - NovaCrusade: and have some random minigames using that to determine if you hit or hit well
  307. 00:36 - NovaCrusade: some easy examples are like the pixel perfect game, where you click specific spots on screen quickly, while having the cursor dodge projectiles
  308. 00:36 - NovaCrusade: or move the cursor through a tunnel of some sort without hitting the edges
  309. 00:37 - NovaCrusade: maybe even the game snake could appear as a rare easter egg game. :P
