  1. 1. Download and install Driver Sweeper from Phyxion.net

  3. 2. Download and install CCleaner from http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard

  5. 3. Download the AMD Catalyst 12.7 Beta from http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/Catalystbetadriver1.aspx

  7. 4. Disconnect your Internet connection until these instructions tell you to reconnect. If you have to, unplug your wireless router. We do not want Windows downloading old, outdated, or incorrect drivers for your GPU.

  9. 5. Reboot your PC into Windows Safe Mode.

  11. 6. Open Device Manager and open the "display adapters" section.

  13. 7. Right click on your AMD Radeon product and hit "uninstall." Be sure to check the "delete the driver software for this device" box.

  15. 7a. Go to ACTION -> SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES and repeat step 7 until your video card is reported as a generic VGA device.

  17. 8. Open Driver Sweeper and check "AMD - DISPLAY." Press the "clean" button.

  19. 9. Now open CCLeaner and go to the REGISTRY tab. Press "SCAN FOR ISSUES," then "FIX SELECTED ISSUES." You will be asked to make a backup, and you should do this.

  21. 10. Now close CCLeaner and Driver Sweeper and reboot your PC back into normal windows.

  23. 11. Install AMD Catalyst 12.7 Beta, then reboot your PC a final time.

  25. 12. Once your PC has rebooted, you may reconnect your Internet connection. If you're running CrossFire, you should also download the most recent Catalyst Application Profile (CAP) from game.amd.com at this time. It should be 12.7 CAP1.
