The door is already fixed thanks to the work of the watchful Swift_Hurddle. Soon all of you are inside. Mr. Bill welcomes the squad with little but a raised eyebrown and a greet, and soon the group finds itself on the storage floor, though most of your friends are still scattered through the building.

  8. [2014-10-01 21:00:35]<EchoesOfDeath> Raven watches from a distance and Rosebee just stays around Swift_Hurddle and Cambiance. Mr. Bill studies the group intently. You have seen Perch around the small coffee room, and Ice Bead lying on the couch there, though looking a bit better. Sugar Drop and Golden Leaf aren't on this floor

[2014-10-01 21:01:32]* Swift_Hurddle helps push tables, chairs, and anything ells that was not broken down for repairs that would serve them well, none to worried about making a mess as it sounded like it was (finaly) almost time to go! He is all smiles as he works, barely containing his excitement, Help was finaly here!!!

[2014-10-01 21:07:15]* Swift_Hurddle smiles as he finishes pushing one of the comfy chairs from downstairs up to a table and walking over to his fellow students, glancing over his sholder to the new arrivals, "Wow, what a day right? I cant belive we finaly got in touch with the guard, this is the best!"

  13. [2014-10-01 21:08:44]* Cambiance gives a subdued smile. "Yeah. It feels like things should pick up now. Hopefully."

  16. [2014-10-01 21:09:54]<EchoesOfDeath> Finder Peeper clears his throat. "Well, we are glad to find ponis who are still holding it together. How many of you are here?"

  24. [2014-10-01 21:27:15]* Swift_Hurddle takes a seat and taps his forhooves on the table a bit as he waits but eventually gives up on waiting for his teacher, posing a question aloud, "So where are the rest of you? I mean, where is it we are going?

  26. [2014-10-01 21:32:35]<EchoesOfDeath> "Oh, royal guards?" Sugar's smile fills with life. "Finally, we are going to be safe!" She hobbles to the meeting room
  27. [2014-10-01 21:35:34]<EchoesOfDeath> "We repurposed some facilities for housing healthy ponies. It is large, very safe and distant from the gatherings of zombies." Finder smiles to Swift_Hurddle
  28. [2014-10-01 21:37:19]* Swift_Hurddle nods, hanging on to every word and quickly follwing the answer with another question. "Awesome! and how far away is it, what part of town? Do we have to walk far?"
  29. [2014-10-01 21:42:53]* Star_Spotter smiles and asks Sugar. "Have you seen Golden anywhere?"
  30. [2014-10-01 21:44:35]<EchoesOfDeath> Sugar shakes her head, turning to the stairs.
  31. [2014-10-01 21:46:47]* Star_Spotter sighs lightly and starts to look for Golden Leaf
  32. [2014-10-01 21:53:47]<EchoesOfDeath> The leader of squad is a tall light blue unicorn in a suit, his cutie mark is an eye in a keyhole. There is a grey earth mare in a vest with a carved pumpkin badge cutie mark. The armored one with a spear has a split jawbreaker cutie mark, and the pegasus in a security uniform has two crossed boards

  34. [2014-10-01 21:55:45]* Star_Spotter move sup to her. "Hey, are you alright?"

  36. [2014-10-01 21:58:40]<EchoesOfDeath> Golden looks up at Star_Spotter and manages a weak smile that quickly vanishes. "It's nothing out of ordinary." She has a book by her hooves, though it's too dark to read
  37. [2014-10-01 21:59:19]* Star_Spotter nods lightly. "We have some Royal Guards upstairs, they're offering to take us to a safe place."
  38. [2014-10-01 22:03:12]<EchoesOfDeath> "It is a long way west, there will be quite a bit of walking, just around the outskirts past Beanstalk Hills." Officer Peeper says.
  39. [2014-10-01 22:03:47]<EchoesOfDeath> Golden Leaf nods and puts herself to her hooves, follwoing Star_Spotter
  40. [2014-10-01 22:04:11]* Star_Spotter leads her upstairs but on the way. "How are you holding up?"
  41. [2014-10-01 22:06:27]<EchoesOfDeath> "It's never easy." Golden Leaf sighs.
  42. [2014-10-01 22:07:50]* Star_Spotter nods and lightly pats her shoulder. "I understand. Let's look forward to the future though."

  53. [2014-10-01 22:19:34]<EchoesOfDeath> "Maybe they think we are going to arrest them." Monochrome chimes in.
  54. [2014-10-01 22:21:30]<Backlash> "Nahh, not anymore. I just wanna know your story. It's essential that we can, y'know, get along."
  55. [2014-10-01 22:21:51]<EchoesOfDeath> "Anyway, we have around a hundred ponies in our shelter." Finder says. "We just intend to recover the resources we can and expand our shelter."
  56. [2014-10-01 22:23:39]* Backlash blinks. "A hundred?!"
  57. [2014-10-01 22:24:09]<Cambiance> "Oh my. That's quite a bit. How do you sustain so many?"
  58. [2014-10-01 22:25:12]<EchoesOfDeath> "Finder and I were trying to keep order ever since we started. It didn't work so well." Aegis shrugs sadly. "The commissioner suggested to unify the local forces. She and the city secretary are the only high ranking officials who managed to remain... in a decent state."
  59. [2014-10-01 22:25:31]* Swift_Hurddle laughs and clops his hoofs excitedly, "Oh that is awesome!"
  60. [2014-10-01 22:25:31]<EchoesOfDeath> "Local officials." Vesper chimes in.
  61. [2014-10-01 22:26:37]<Backlash> "So, there's no word on anything we could do to save 'em?"
  62. [2014-10-01 22:26:40]<EchoesOfDeath> "Yeah, but we don't have contact with Canterlot. Nor Manehattan for that matter..." Aegis scowls
  63. [2014-10-01 22:26:46]* Backlash 's face falls.
  64. [2014-10-01 22:27:36]* Cambiance frowns. "That's not ideal. But better than nothing. And so I assume you don't know too much more than us about the situation?"
  65. [2014-10-01 22:28:02]<EchoesOfDeath> "This is supposed to be confidential." Vesper facehooves.
  66. [2014-10-01 22:28:47]<EchoesOfDeath> "We aren't working in normal conditions here. It's good they don't underestimate the situation." Aegis shrugs
  67. [2014-10-01 22:29:25]* Swift_Hurddle tilts his head, "Dose it have anything to do with zebras, or that ship, or maybe Lunas spoting before things whent bad?". Glancing around he rubs the back of his head, "I havent had much better to do than read old news paper articals since we holed up here a few days after things started to go south"
  68. [2014-10-01 22:32:11]<EchoesOfDeath> "We send squads out to retrieve supplies, while we work on a local farm." Finder says. "The harder part is the irrigation so far. Our shelter is not too close to the river."

  70. [2014-10-01 22:33:27]<EchoesOfDeath> Vesper frowns at Swift_Hurddle. "That is also confidential."

  72. [2014-10-01 22:34:25]* Swift_Hurddle smiles to vesper, seemingly unaware of the frown, "But you are looking into it right?"

  74. [2014-10-01 22:35:43]<EchoesOfDeath> "But keeping things from falling apart is kind of important right now." Monochrome says.
  75. [2014-10-01 22:37:59]<Backlash> "I'd say it's a bit late for that one. So, remind me why you ain't telling us everything you can about this plague, or whatever?"

[2014-10-01 22:38:12]* Swift_Hurddle beams, "Well im just glad somepony is doing something, I have been going crazy just feeling so unproductive here- er, I mean besides helping out of course and surviving, I mean that is important to but It just feels like we have been hiding but just knowing ponies are out there looking into it is a lot off my mind"

  78. [2014-10-01 22:42:03]<Backlash> "Well, I -need to know- if there's anything I can do to fix this, and what that would be."

  81. [2014-10-01 22:45:05]<EchoesOfDeath> "I'll share what I know, but the doctors back at the shelter know more about the details." Finder says to Backlash
  82. [2014-10-01 22:45:41]* Star_Spotter nods to them and looks to her friends. "Are we all ready to leave?"
  83. [2014-10-01 22:46:07]* Swift_Hurddle adjusts his hat and listens, haning on every word and fialing to notice the conflict between the two guards
  84. [2014-10-01 22:46:14]* Backlash seems a little more comfortable, but she still gives Vesper a dark look. "Good, thank you."
  85. [2014-10-01 22:46:49]* Cambiance nods. "It certainly seems better there than here."
  86. [2014-10-01 22:50:17]* Swift_Hurddle nods to Cambiance in agrement, "I know right, A HUNDRED ponies!"
  87. [2014-10-01 22:53:27]<EchoesOfDeath> Aegis smiles, until his eyes meet Sugar and her missing leg. She seems to get more tense and switches a worried look with Finder. They don't seem to be too comfortable about her presence.

  89. [2014-10-01 22:55:02]<Backlash> "What?" She follows's Aegis' look back to Sugar, then back to the guard pony. "What's up?"
  90. [2014-10-01 22:55:19]* Cambiance glances at the guardponies. "The limb's been amputated for some time now. There's no infection."
  91. [2014-10-01 22:55:44]* Swift_Hurddle nods and glances uncofortably back at his axe slung over his sholder
  92. [2014-10-01 22:55:46]* Star_Spotter nods. "It's been nearly... what, two months?"
  93. [2014-10-01 22:56:23]<Star_Spotter> "I conducted the amputation myself. We're hoping to find one of my friends. Sinew Construct to get a prostesis."
  94. [2014-10-01 22:57:56]<EchoesOfDeath> "You know doctor Construct?" Finder asks Star_Spotter
  95. [2014-10-01 22:58:08]* Star_Spotter blinks. "Yes. I dated him."
  96. [2014-10-01 22:59:04]<EchoesOfDeath> "...limb? Wait, the filly wasn't like that before?" Vesper asks, tensing up as well.
  97. [2014-10-01 23:00:07]<EchoesOfDeath> "Hey, it's okay. The doctor will know what to do." Monochrome tries to smile.
  98. [2014-10-01 23:01:25]* Backlash shrugs. "Alright, alright, I get your point. Lemme see that doctor, I feel like he's got what I want."
  99. [2014-10-01 23:01:38]<EchoesOfDeath> Finder smiles a bit. "I hope you two are on friendly terms."
  100. [2014-10-01 23:01:44]* Swift_Hurddle looks about finaly picking up on the tension, "Um... that was over a week ago, right after things started going bad. After we got her some medicine to provent infection and such she was fine"
  101. [2014-10-01 23:01:54]<EchoesOfDeath> "We can't take her with us." Vesper says. "It's a bad idea."
  102. [2014-10-01 23:02:26]* Star_Spotter nods to Finder. "Oh we are." And then she loosk to Vesper. "And why not?"
  103. [2014-10-01 23:02:44]* Swift_Hurddle blinks, "Wait, what?"
  104. [2014-10-01 23:03:02]* Star_Spotter looks to her ready to defend Sugar. "We've tried our best to keep her alive and we've done just that. She hasn't shown any sign of looking like one of those things."
  105. [2014-10-01 23:03:03]<EchoesOfDeath> "Why?! No, you must!" Perch says, shocked
  106. [2014-10-01 23:03:06]<EchoesOfDeath> Monochrome frowns. "Ah, c'mon. Look at her, she is fine"
  107. [2014-10-01 23:03:58]* Cambiance frowns. "Look at the stump. You can tell how old it is by looking at it. And she's obviously not sick. Just quarantine her if you're paranoid."
  108. [2014-10-01 23:05:13]<EchoesOfDeath> Finder stays silent, pondering over it.
  109. [2014-10-01 23:12:25]<EchoesOfDeath> Vesper tries to stare Star_Spotter down, but ends up shaking and looking away. "Whatever, don't say I didn't warn you."
  110. [2014-10-01 23:12:56]<EchoesOfDeath> Finder rubs his muzzle. "Hmm, she does look healthy. I don't think it will be a problem"
  111. [2014-10-01 23:13:51]* Swift_Hurddle nods and points to Miss Star, "And miss stars old friend the doctor is there, he will vouch for her, right Miss star?"
  112. [2014-10-01 23:14:04]* Swift_Hurddle waves the hove, "Clean bill of heath"
  113. [2014-10-01 23:14:26]<Backlash> "Even if it seems like it might be risky, we gotta do better. We're still ponies." She gives an apologetic glance back at Sugar.
  114. [2014-10-01 23:15:55]<EchoesOfDeath> Sugar looks a bit shaken, but gives Backlash a grateful smile. Perch gives you both a quick hug before shyly backing away.

  116. [2014-10-01 23:19:45]<EchoesOfDeath> "Well, now that's over with, we should prepare to get moving." Aegis says.

  118. [2014-10-01 23:20:33]* Star_Spotter nods and gets up after the staredown. "We should. I take responsiblity if anything happens, Luna forbid."
  119. [2014-10-01 23:22:09]* Backlash rises from the table and trots back to Sugar, giving her a close hug before returning to the center of the room.
