  1. Dear Cassy Chau, Michael Wong and Gareth Hayes
  2. We are Anonymous,
  3. The last of piece yellow journalism on ours truly, from your publication, Harbour Times, fell on our desktop this morning. We know that in your eagerness to be good corporate and government lackeys, it is in your interest to paint us as a disorganized group of keyboard monkeys with the political sophistication of a mob. We also understand by the content of your site that you cater to a readership that doesn't fact check much. But still, we would appreciate that while your inner spindoctor cant help all the demagoguery, you nonetheless get the facts right. Of the list of targets you mentioned:
  4.
  5. ====================================

  7. http://www.news.gov.hk/
  8. http://www.abaca.hk/

  10. http://www.synctech.hk/
  11. http://www.mmcl.com.hk/
  12. =====================================
  13.
  14. None was on our radar. Only GOVERNMENT websites were specifically targeted. Here are some of them:
  15.
  16. =====================================
  17. www.mps.gov.cn - Chinese Police
  18. www.police.gov.hk - Hong Kong Police
  19. www.mod.gov.cn - Ministry of Defense of China
  20. www.moj.gov.cn - Ministry of Justice for China
  21.
  22. and many more as such.......
  23. =======================================
  24.
  25. For future reference, our targets are typically listed in handy pastebins. See: http://pastebin.com/u/OpHK. Or just follow @OpHongKong to keep current. Of course, we cannot stop loopy individuals or totalitarian government bent on censorship and disinformation to act under our banner. But Anonymous hacktivists share a common set of values which makes the handywork of the collective fairly obvious.
  26. As for our intentions and motivations, again, we have stated them in our press releases which you were either too incompetent to find or too dishonest to quote. So for the record:
  27. "To the people of China, we are not against you. Indeed we hope that this will foster a peaceful debate on the future of democracy in China. But Hong Kong aspirations for freedom, it's desire for holding it's own elections and govern itself cannot be silenced.
  28. We have seen the treatment of the peaceful protesters by the local authorities. We will not stand by idle when this violence against the protesters is happening. We will continue to launch our attacks on government infrastructures and leak information. We will use all of our available resources to fight those injustices until peaceful negotiations between the protesters and the government officials have resumed."
  29.
  30.
  31. As for our alleged lack of contact on the ground, we really like getting postcards from the protesters <3.

  34. You should have expected we would correct the record...

  36. United as One, Divided by zero
  37. We are Anonymous
