  1. I think I've just figured out how the Will of D will play out in the end.
  2.
  3. Luffy will learn that he is the latest of a ton of people that before him have been reincarnating over and over again and having a very specific mission in life that they can't possibly accomplish in one lifetime, so they have to accumulate multiple lifetimes to accomplish that.
  4. Blackbeard was originally a friend of the person Luffy has been reincarnating from and BB has been continuously reincarnating as well. However BB, unlike Luffy, has always managed to maintain his prior knowlegde about this miserable loop of faith after each reincarnation, while Luffy has always lost his memory of it. The mission might require Luffy's lineage to have an open mind and pure spirit to accomplish what they have to. BB's lineage was tasked with guiding Luffy's lineage every time they are ready to get serious about the mission.
  5. Roger was the previous Luffy and he has accomplished the most. But even his efforts were thanks to his predecessors, not his alone. Luffy will only have to finish the job.
  6.
  7. BB is the reincarnation of someone not yet known, who died a couple of years before Roger. He guided him on his mission, but died and Roger didn't need him anymore to finish his part. BB was only a kid when Roger died, but he wasn't needed anyway so he didn't go out of his way to reach out to Roger.
  8.
  9. The mission itself has still no clues about what it could be, but it's probably something much more important than the dumb WG.
  10.
  11. However things have been ruined for the time of this reincarnation. In the previous one Roger went a little too overboard by becoming the Pirate King, which set Luffy on a path that's far too rebellious and dangerous to care about the mission. He will either ignore his task or outright try to ruin all of the efforts of the people before him because "muh freedoms" like a fucking retard.
  12. BB also fucked up by defeating Ace only to obtain influence and fame. This made him Luffy's enemy, and Luffy will not follow his guiding, thus failing at his mission too.
  13.
  14. The story will end with Luffy kicking everyone's ass, obtaining Roger's stupid gold, completely ignoring the actually important mission he still needs to complete and a dying BB crying about how this happens every time and it’ll never change, even though he wants it to change. Luffy will be too dumb to break the cycle and BB has to relive this mysery only to fail to correct it the next time too.
  15.
  16. Foreshadowing for this theory:
  17. -BB trying to encourage Luffy to embark on the righteous path in Mock Town, but not revealing himself since Luffy wasn't ready. When he seemed to change his mind becaue his bounty was raised and went after him anyway, he was probably going to capture him and tell him the mission in order to prepare and protect him. He probably thought that Luffy could stay under the radar until he's ready, but he defeated Crocodile and ruined that expectation. We'll get a flashback of this.
  18. -WB telling BB that he is not the one that should complete the task. He was Roger's buddy, so he might have known a little about the mission and how it should be Roger's reincarnation that has to complete it. Luffy reminded him of Roger, so he knew it was Luffy. However he was underinformed and had no clue how important BB really was.
  19.
  20. Explaining BB’s path according to this:
  21. -BB became one of the Yonkous, to let Luffy know that it's in the NW where he has to go. He's been waiting there building his influence, removing most of the potential risks for Luffy.
  22. -Going after Devil’s fruits and locking them away is also in order to protect Luffy, so he doesn’t have to deal with them.
  23. -Hunting down WBs crew was also to try to silience as many people as he can that can fuel Luffy’s hatred towards him. It’s stupid, but BB is kinda stupid too.
  24. -Attacking the revoultionaries on the first opportunity was also related. The WG isn’t the focus of the mission and he doesn’t want Luffy to be distracted by that crowd and get in unnecessary danger. He might also find the WG a helpful force to maintain the balance of the world, thus making his plans smoother, so he considers the rebels his enemies. Jesus alone wouldn’t have warranted an all out war with them.
  25. -BB joining WB’s crew served to keep him updated on the most critical part of the world for Luffy’s mission. That’s why he reclaimed those parts and not go for different ones. Those parts are important.
  26. -Shanks not defeating BB during the TS is probably due to the fact that he’s aware of who BB is and he understands BB’s importance. However they had a dispute about how to set Luffy on the right path and got in a little fight. Shanks thought that Roger’s path was the right one while BB disagreed. After that they’ve calmed down and agreed to let BB handle this later. That’s why Shanks have been avoiding Luffy, he knows BB is right and he wants to stay out of it. He only showed up in Marineford because both Luffy and BB were in danger without him.
  27. -The Marineford arc was all about securing the Gura Gura no Mi, one of the fruits that was one of the most dangerous one to Luffy. It was a mistake to sacrifice Ace for this, but he couldn’t figure out a better plan for this. WB was already close to his death, so his fruit getting in the wrong hands would have ruined everything.
  28. -He wanted the Mera Mera no Mi to be secured too, but it ended up in the hands of someone who wouldn’t hurt Luffy, so it all worked out in his favor temporarily.
  29. -Jesus only attacked Luffy later to keep up his cover and test Sabo’s intentions.
  30. -BB took out Bonney because she was very dangerous as well. Making Luffy older would pretty much mean his death, and making him too young means almost the same. Luffy would have to start everything all over again.
  31. -The Supernovas are called the ’Worst Generation’ because they are far too rebellious and dengerous for BB’s plans. BB himself coined the phrase and it got popular.
  32.
  33. The next big obstacles for Luffy are Kaidou and Charlotte. BB will appear when he’ll be most needed to fight those two for the sake of Luffy. They will manage to beat them together, but Luffy will not be happy about him helping and will run away from him in confusion. But he won’t attack BB that time out of gratitude. BB will next cross Luffy’s path in the treasure room in Raftel. Luffy will be still confused about his intentions and won’t let him explain it properly. He’ll just beat BB and not have any of his shit, thus getting the sad ending that I’ve written earlier.
  34.
  35. I suspect the entire theory to be revealed as a twist after the final BB and Luffy fight and going insane with the flashbacks, explaining everything that BB did. Oda won’t start leaking any of this into the story so openly until then.
  36.
  37. The „D” in their name means destiny in BB’s mind, but he’ll tell us that it doesn’t matter and it never did. It was just a silly little oath that the two original friends made and the reincarnated ones kept putting this in their own name.
  38.
  39. Joyboy is probably the original Luffy.
  40.
  41.
  42. Yes, this theory is kinda like Madoka's plot but without the time travel part.
  43. Yes, BB is the broest of all bros in the history of all bros.
  44. Yes, I know Oda is too cheerful and carefree to actually go for this.
