  65. Bio:
  66.
  67. Born in the scenic mountain village of Baumdopf, northeast of Eurice, Arnold spent the better part of his youth hiking, climbing and skiing with his friends Gunther and Rafn. Gunther - ruddy and stocky but suprisingly agile - was interested in philosophy and fond of drastic thought experiments. He could make them stop halfway up a cliff to berate him for some particularly outrageous proposition, although they usually had to admit that there was something to what he said. Rafn was wiry, dark-haired and passionate about the secrets hidden within the earth. He had started his mineral collection at age six, and even managed to obtain a license to own specimens of certain arcane crystals. Arnold, for his part, was happy to handle the practical aspects of their expeditions. The manifold wonders and challenges that Nature presents to mind and body have always delighted him.
  68.
  69. Arnold's father, Siegwald, works as a foreman at the Baumdopf sawmill, but twenty years ago he was in the army, rising to the rank of Feldwebel during a harsh tour of duty in Overseasland. It was always obvious to Siegwald that his son should follow in his footsteps, serving the Reich and acquiring the skill and discipline expected of an adult.
  70.
  71. Arnold had mixed feelings about enlisting. It was exciting, of course, and a way to prove himself, but he felt intense visceral horror when he thought about purposefully maiming other living beings. His days in uniform might have been ignominiously cut short, had he not been offered a place in the medical training program. There, he first learned mundane healthcare and first aid, then how to induce rapid healing by harnessing Vril - the vital energy that permeates all things.
  72.
  73. Once his training was successfully completed and his oath sworn, Arnold was assigned to an infantry division in Fleiten. Mere weeks after his arrival, he found a poster on the divisional notice board, inviting soldiers to volunteer for a special mission led by one Captain Astleich. Already becoming tired of cramped barracks and military routine, Arnold thought it was worth a try. He was pleasantly surprised when the Captain quickly responded with instructions to report to him at Department of Investigations HQ and then join him on a ship bound for Overseasland. It seems that the younger Weißmüller will indeed be following his father's footsteps. How far they will take him remains to be seen.
