  1. 1) Try opening gpedit.msc by pressing Windows+R --> gpedit.msc --> Press Enter
  2. 2) If there are errors, remember their line and column, then go to C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions
  3. 3) Copy inetres.admx file from there to your Desktop (for convenience)
  4. 4) Then you go to this line and remove block of policy that gives you this error
  5. (block starts with <policy ...> and ends wth </policy>
  6. Its easy but you need to be careful not to remove pieces of other blocks, so double check what you doing.
  7. Better to use Notepad++ for convenience.
  8. 5) Then you remove the inetres.admx file from PolicyDefinitions directory - using Unlocker software
  9. (found at ccolomb website) because fucking windows will not allow you neither to replace a file
  10. using standard copy file function, nor to delete it in the common way.
  11. After that, you copy a slightly fixed inetres.admx file from your Desktop to PolicyDefinitions directory.
  12.
  13. Now to try start gpedit.msc again. If errors, you need to return to step 3 and repeat 3-5.
  14. I needed to do it about five times before all my gpedit.msc errors have gone away...
  15.
  16. And remember: Linux rules, cause Windows is a closed source bloated piece of shit with NSA backdoors
