After careful consideration, I've decided to opt out of Smash Summit voting this time around. I've had chronic tendinitis for the last few years and just started seeing a physical therapist a week ago. I decided it would be best to improve in melee at my own pace for now while I let my hands heal, rather than forcing myself to prepare and participate at this event. I want opt in to Summit when I know I'll be capable of making everyone's votes for me count. Right now I don't think I could do that and others are more deserving of it this time around. I apologize to all my supporters and fans who wanted to see me there, but I have ignored my hand issues for too long and right now they are really limiting me.

That being said, I will still be streaming and practicing at my own pace while letting my hands heal. I will still be going to locals as well as attending Full Bloom 3 at the end of March and Dream Hack Austin in April.
