  1. So we got some talking done on the IRC. We think we've got it down to between 3 and 5 types of units.
  2.
  3. Infantry are tough, but ONLY when they are bunkered down in a station. They're excellent for holding onto territory, but their HP is low and if caught in the open will be torn to shreds.
  4.
  5. Fliers and Tanks are broken down into two parts each.
  6.
  7. Tanks and Buggies are tougher than Fliers and infantry, but not as tough as Frames. Tanks are the only guys who can equip double weapons, making them as shooty as frames in the right situation. Buggies are faster, but can't equip as heavy weaponry.
  8.
  9. Fliers come in the forms of attack craft and helos. Helos can hover and transport dudes, while attack craft are incredibly fast.
  10.
  11. That's one take, the other take is squeezing buggies and tanks into 'Tanks" and Attack Craft and Helos into 'Flyers"
  12.
  13. We do this by making it so that a Flyer can 'Sprint' if they do not have a troop transport module equipped (much as a Frame can sprint if they have no direct fire or artillery weaponry equipped). For tanks, they can sprint as long as they don't have a double weapon equipped.
  14.
  15. We got some tentative stats worked out, but I wanted to pitch the general idea first and generate some more thoughts on the matter for one side or the other before I suggested any finalized numbers (which our thread OP came up with in the IRC)
