Anyways.

I am launching an app so if you could keep it on the down low that would be awesome.  Nothing too major, just avoid speaking about it.

I have been spending the last 4 months of my free time building a game App.  It’s a web app for iPhones, Androids, Desktops, iPads, Tablets and Netbooks.  Basically it should work on every browser and I use special web shit to have it cut down and scale out to work across most relevant devices.

It’s an app to tie together people’s game experiences.  So if you want to write about Skyrim and 50 other people are writing about Skyrim, all your experiences with Skyrim are naturally threaded together.  Basically I love reading about how people experience games and its strewn all over the web.  With Cheerful Ghost people can post everything rad about their games in one place and share them out to facebook, twitter and google+ and have it come back to your http://cheerfulghost.com/jdodson home.

Plus Cheerful Ghost ties in all your XBox, PSN & Steam accounts too.

There are rankings/leaderboards and people can earn trophies for doing stuff on the app.  For instance the first 999 users that sign up get a "Hipster Cat" trophy.

It does a ton of other stuff, but I’m drawing a blank now.  Wrote it in Rails...  Launching January 28th.

Oh, since you are awesome and play video games and are awesome I would really like it if you could use the app and lend me your thoughts.  I want to build the best place on the web to live your game experiences and find out about everyone else’s.

It’s not online yet, but in a week or so it will be and I’d like your feedback.  Jan 28th is the 1.0 date and you can talk about it as much as you want then.

So far the app tracks 18289 games on the following platforms:

Its cool because many old games, or mobile games get very little play and hopefully Cheerful Ghost will bring these game player/admirers a community.
