teckla im late

Dear Teckla,
I write this because I've been defeated by the postal system. Out of the 3 things I've sent this august, 3 of them were returned to me or sent back to the post office. I find a message from Tom saying I should send you a message thanking you. I think about responding with "I ALREADY DID HAHAHAHA" but realize that it probably didn't send if he's saying this. So I walked to the post office to find that the letter I tried to send didn't have enough stamps or something FUCKING STUPID. So now I have to write you a shitty Facebook message instead and try to somehow clean up this egg on my face. I'm going type the letter.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you so much for this gift. This past birthday hasn't been good to me. Sure I can buy cigarettes and vote now, but I just couldn't seem to find anything to be happy about. The thought that all of my loved ones are so far away stuck with me in my bedroom all day. I needed this card. I really did. Looking at the card, adorned with all of the things that we've ever talked about (which we seldom do), it made me realize that I'm not the only person who thinks about the conversations they've had with someone. You seem to remember everything. While I can never remember the right dates or the important details, you seem to be right at the center of everything important in life. That's something I've always admired about you.  																		Again, I'm at the receiving end of your kindness. I'm not as creative as you and I can't make you a card like the one you sent me because that would be unoriginal, which is why I have nothing to send back to you but a thank you and a little update on my life. Within this envelope, I give you back the money you sent for me to give to my mother. This time, dinner's on me. I payed her back.
