Personality: Takumi is extremely optimistic. He enjoys making his friends smile, even when it all feels hopeless. Takumi is independent and brave. In stressful situations, he tries to calm his friends down. Takumi is flirty and romantic, though he often is deemed a “player”, especially by the girls in his old high-school, which is not true. Takumi has a lot of courage and fights for what he believes in. Sometimes, Takumi can be harsh and extremely skeptical. When he thinks a person is bad, he acts cold and insults them, and doesn’t care about their feelings. He can be violent to people he dislikes as well. Takumi enjoys making friends and loves chatting. He is charismatic and creative. Though, not everything is just dandy in his mind. He often wants people to face the facts, even if it’s bad. Takumi also has problems making decisions and gaining new obligations. He also is a bit sensitive, but hides it with his overly confident and brave demeanor. He’s also cocky and sort of sarcastic. Takumi is also stubborn and likes to do it “his way.” He firmly believes in what he says is right due to his high confidence levels. He is also very fair-minded. Despite his fair-mindedness, because of his views on “bad people”, he can be extremely judgmental, especially of unusual people. After the experience he had in Hopes Peak, he has become more emotional, though he still likes to hide his emotions. He is even more skeptical and has major trust issues. Though, he still will never lose hope.

Backstory: Takumi was born into a family full of athletes. His mom was a diver, his dad was a gymnast, and his big sister was a dancer. As a child, he was always encouraged to be an athlete just like his family, and he took an interest in boxing. He first started to take an interest in boxing by seeing boxing matches on TV when he was a little kid. Takumi soon joined a kids boxing club where he quickly became great at it. He was never beaten. Despite his early success, he started to use violence against the kids who bullied him in middle school. He broke someone’s nose one time and got suspended. Takumi did it again in 8th grade, but this time he broke someone’s leg and arm. He soon had to learn that violence wasn’t always the answer. Takumi boxed in many World Championships and won them. When he turned 14, he went to the Youth Olympics, and won gold in boxing. One of the supervisors of the Youth Olympics also worked with Hope’s Peak, and got him to be invited by the principal. From there, he gladly took the opportunity. Takumi ditched his fame in his old high-school and joined Hope’s Peak, though he left his old school with a heavy heart. He was famous in his old high-school, he had a lot of girlfriends during his first year and many people admired him.
Biggest Fear(s) and Wish(es):  His fears are his friends dying, small closed spaces, sharp objects such as needles and knives, and heights. His wishes are to protect his friends and create hope for the hopeless, be in the adult Olympics and win gold medals in boxing. He also wanted to marry Katty, but she’s dead now.
Biggest Secret(s): Takumi had a crush on two girls in the first season, Katty and Fuyu. He was planning to kiss Katty if they escaped together, but she didn’t make it out alive.
Medical History: Takumi breaks bones easily, as he has broken at least 12 already due to boxing. He also has many scars on him, due to boxing injuries.
