>Especially not as your friends began dying of old age
>Celestia rarely gave the gift of immortality
>To the best of your knowledge, only she and Luna were immortal
>She always were genuinely sad when one of her subjects died, however, and attended the funerals
>Sometimes, if it were a pony she knew especially well, she would give a eulogy
>If the pony were the bread-winner of the family, she would give the widow a pension so the family wouldn't have financial trouble
>It never was easy, though, to say goodbye to a friend
>The worst part was that humans had a longer lifespan than ponies
