>Dear diary:
>Steven and I went to see the new Dogcopter movie.
>We got a ride from his magical, pink Lion.
>But first, we ended up in a hidden lair full of amazing Gem stuff.
>I call it the Carat Cavern.
>Steven won't, but I forgive him.
>We woke up a floating robot head that tried to kill us.
>Most of me got first-degree burns.
>But afterwards, I got to carry around a bitchin' huge sword for the rest of the day.

>Steven and the Gems had to stop a crazy Gem from stealing all the world's water.
>I got in on the action.
>I helped by throwing rocks during the fight, as a calculated distraction.
>But then I almost got drowned.
>I bet I really impressed the Gems though.
>My face was all wet, so they totally couldn't tell I was crying afterwards.

>Dear diary:
>My parents had dinner with Steven’s dad today.
>The Crystal Gems were there too.
>Steven brought them all, in one.
>They scared away the other patrons, so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves.
>The evening went downhill from there.
>But things worked out, and I totally got halfway to second base.

(Winter Forecast)

>It snowed all over Beach City yesterday.
>The whole city was so quiet, and everything looked so pristine and magical.
>Also, Steven has the power to see the future; who knew?
>I wanted to spend all day snowed in at his house, but he said it was a bad idea.
>I would either have gotten sick, ended up in traction, or died.
>We ended up snowed in together at my house instead.
>I tried to get a closer look at his gem last night while he slept, but he saw me coming.
>We watched the snow fall together.
>Thought I could wait him out, but I fell asleep first.
>He had to go before I woke up, but he left me his blanket and a mug of cocoa with star marshmallows.

Dear diary:
>Last week, Steven and I almost got crushed by an alien robot hurtling in from space.
>More importantly, I introduced Steven to The Unfamiliar Familiar series.
>I wanted to talk to him all about it and how I like to pretend that I'm Lisa when I read.
>He's been having trouble picking up on the subtleties of the writing though.
>And he read the story out of order.
>And he doesn't understand the basic plot.
>And he left goop smudges in each book.
>I've started punching him in the arm when we meet up.
>I've seen mom pinch dad whenever she wants him to pick up that something's wrong, so it should work the same way.

>My family and I just got back from a trip, and Beach City was wrecked slightly more than usual.
>A piece of debris actually made it all the way to the good part of town where I live.
>I tried to call Steven back after he left a voice mail, but he screened me.
>I ended up having to go to his place and chase him across the beach.
>He can really move it for a big kid.
>Drama ensued, but we straightened things out and Steven told me what happened.
>I'm still reeling from the fact that we're still technically under invasion.
>On the bright side, I dropped that "I want to be a part of your universe" line I've been working on with great success.

>I'm still bummed by the ending to The Spirit Morph saga.

>Steven and I took a picture together for my blog.
>I told him it was for my phone’s wallpaper.
>Also, I met the mailman that stops by his house.
>His name is Jamie, and he’s an aspiring actor.
>I wanted to be an actor too when I was little, until I told mom and dad.
>The next day, dad brought home a cardboard box and said it was a “rent-free flat” for when I graduate high school.
>Anyways, Jamie was in love with Garnet and wrote her a letter.
>Garnet is already married to herself (I think?), so she turned him down.
>We dictated her response, but Steven thought it was too harsh-sounding, so we tweaked it.
>Jamie took it the wrong way and Garnet had to get blunt, but she patched him back up afterwards.
>Romance can be so complex sometimes.
>I went ahead and rewrote Garnet’s original message -- for study and reference.

(Sworn to the Sword)

>It started when I went to Steven’s house for a jam-with-jam session.
>When I blinked, I was learning swordplay.
>Pearl has been teaching me, and there’s been singing and calluses and a flesh wound from when I tripped up.
>It's been the most fun I’ve had in my life.
>When mom and dad ask about the bandages, I tell them they’re from tennis lessons.
>Mom just nods and says to try harder.
>I've been training so hard that I kind of went on a head trip to some dark places.
>But Steven snapped me out of it, and we had words with Pearl.
>I think she has some really deep-seated mother issues.
>At least I think she does; can you have those with someone else’s mom?
>In the end, I’m still learning, and Steven says he’ll stick with me all the way.

(We Need to Talk)
>Dear diary:
>Steven and I fused again, right in front of his dad.
>It happened while we were listening to music that didn’t make me sad.
>Mr. Universe turned out to be okay with it and really supportive.
>He even told us about how he and Steven’s mom tried to fuse.
>He also showed us a tape that I don’t think my parents would let me watch.
>I need to watch it again.
>Mr. Universe said that his door is always open to talk about the weirder stuff.
>It’s nice knowing someone who can understand what all of this is like.

(Nightmare Hospital)
>Dear diary:
>My secret identity is out.
>Mom came home from work and caught me with Steven’s sword.
>She also thought I was home alone with Steven all evening, but that didn’t bother her.
>Why does she ruin everything fun?
>She had to go back to the hospital for an emergency and took the sword with her.
>Steven and I followed to take it back.
>We almost snuck out with it until we got caught by my mom again.
>Also by two headless Gem-things made out of hands.
>We got rid of them, and then I confessed to mom about all the Gem stuff I’ve been doing.
>She was way more understanding then I thought she could ever be.
>She was still shaken up by the Gem mutants though.
>We hugged the entire way home, then she went straight for the bottle she and dad keep above the cabinet.
>I think dad got the wrong idea when he came home and saw her with it.
>He’s sleeping on the couch tonight.
>Though I did see mom headed back downstairs in her nightgown a moment ago with the bottle a quarter empty.
>I’m sure they’ll work things out.
>I learned today that communication is key.

(Steven's Birthday)
>Dear diary:
>I have had a heck of a weekend.
>Steven invited me over to his dads barn for his birthday, asking if I could stay for 2 nights.
>It took a lot of convincing, and after assuring them Steven and I would be under adult supervision (and dad making sure I had every form of protection known to man) Mr. Universe picked me up and drove me to the party.
>Turns out Steven is older than me.
>Steven. Older than me. Its still weird to think about.
>Anyway, after some series of events I still don't really understand, Steven came out of the barn looking older.
>And handsomer.
>We played some badminton, where Steven revealed his new muscles. We danced together, and I layed my head on his manly chest.
>Things got weird when we were star gazing.
>He turned into a baby.
>Steven turned into an adorable, crying baby.
>Is it weird if I'm becoming numb to stuff like this diary?
>Anyways, we eventually got him to calm down when I told him I would be with him no matter what.
>After a long needed sleep, Steven turned back to normal (even though I thought he turned into a zygote)
>And he now has facial hair!
>Garnet pulled me aside later that day, telling me that Steven and I have something special.
>I think she implied that we might be getting to second base soon.
