  1. (Bubble Buddies)
  2. >Dear diary:
  3. >I met a weird boy on the beach today.
  4. >He saved me from getting crushed by a crumbling cliff face.
  5. >But then he stranded us at the bottom of the ocean.
  6. >He made up for it by saving us from a giant sea worm and giving me a glow bracelet.
  7. >7/10, might steal his magical essence later.
  8. >Need to find out if the library has an occult section.
  9. >Also need to find the library.
  10.
  11. (Lion 2: The Movie)
  12. >Dear diary:
  13. >Steven and I went to see the new Dogcopter movie.
  14. >We got a ride from his magical, pink Lion.
  15. >But first, we ended up in a hidden lair full of amazing Gem stuff.
  16. >I call it the Carat Cavern.
  17. >Steven won't, but I forgive him.
  18. >We woke up a floating robot head that tried to kill us.
  19. >Most of me got first-degree burns.
  20. >But afterwards, I got to carry around a bitchin' huge sword for the rest of the day.
  21. >It was worth it.
  22. >-Ohmygoshohmygosh why did I write the b-word I can't scribble it out the ink isn't black enough-
  23.
  24. (Ocean Gem)
  25. >Dear diary:
  26. >Steven and the Gems had to stop a crazy Gem from stealing all the world's water.
  27. >I got in on the action.
  28. >I helped by throwing rocks during the fight, as a calculated distraction.
  29. >But then I almost got drowned.
  30. >I bet I really impressed the Gems though.
  31. >My face was all wet, so they totally couldn't tell I was crying afterwards.
  32.
  33. (Fusion Cuisine)
  34. >Dear diary:
  35. >My parents had dinner with Steven’s dad today.
  36. >The Crystal Gems were there too.
  37. >Steven brought them all, in one.
  38. >They scared away the other patrons, so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves.
  39. >The evening went downhill from there.
  40. >But things worked out, and I totally got halfway to second base.
  41. >I think dad is waiting to microchip me in my sleep.
  42.
  43. (Alone Together)
  44. >Dear diary:
  45. >Today, Steven made me a woman.
  46. >And I made him a woman.
  47. >It's all very complicated.
  48. >It was exciting and scary and exhilarating all at once!
  49. >I didn't get magic powers, but I did get boobs!
  50. >I will miss you, boobs.
  51.
  52. (Winter Forecast)
  53. >Dear diary:
  54. >It snowed all over Beach City yesterday.
  55. >The whole city was so quiet, and everything looked so pristine and magical.
  56. >Also, Steven has the power to see the future; who knew?
  57. >I wanted to spend all day snowed in at his house, but he said it was a bad idea.
  58. >I would either have gotten sick, ended up in traction, or died.
  59. >We ended up snowed in together at my house instead.
  60. >I tried to get a closer look at his gem last night while he slept, but he saw me coming.
  61. >We watched the snow fall together.
  62. >Thought I could wait him out, but I fell asleep first.
  63. >He had to go before I woke up, but he left me his blanket and a mug of cocoa with star marshmallows.
  64. >The blanket still smells like him.
  65. >I'll keep it here in my room so dad doesn't wash it with the other guest stuff.
  66.
  67. (Marble Madness)
  68. Dear diary:
  69. >Last week, Steven and I almost got crushed by an alien robot hurtling in from space.
  70. >More importantly, I introduced Steven to The Unfamiliar Familiar series.
  71. >I wanted to talk to him all about it and how I like to pretend that I'm Lisa when I read.
  72. >He's been having trouble picking up on the subtleties of the writing though.
  73. >And he read the story out of order.
  74. >And he doesn't understand the basic plot.
  75. >And he left goop smudges in each book.
  76. >I've started punching him in the arm when we meet up.
  77. >I've seen mom pinch dad whenever she wants him to pick up that something's wrong, so it should work the same way.
  78. >I'm training a friendship.
  79.
  80. (Full Disclosure)
  81. >Dear diary:
  82. >My family and I just got back from a trip, and Beach City was wrecked slightly more than usual.
  83. >A piece of debris actually made it all the way to the good part of town where I live.
  84. >I tried to call Steven back after he left a voice mail, but he screened me.
  85. >I ended up having to go to his place and chase him across the beach.
  86. >He can really move it for a big kid.
  87. >Drama ensued, but we straightened things out and Steven told me what happened.
  88. >I'm still reeling from the fact that we're still technically under invasion.
  89. >On the bright side, I dropped that "I want to be a part of your universe" line I've been working on with great success.
  90. >Magical lip-smacking action was guaranteed if his dad hadn't have shown up.
  91. >If the world really is going to be ending soon, I'm cashing this rain check before my birthday.
  92.
  93. (Open Book)
  94. >Dear diary:
  95. >I'm still bummed by the ending to The Spirit Morph saga.
  96. >At least I got a magical adventure out of it.
  97. >Steven showed me an impossibly huge room in his house that lets him make anything he imagines real.
  98. >We used it to try and rework the ending into something worthwhile.
  99. >I pulled together the Ultimate Lisa cosplay I've been working on in my sketchbook.
  100. >But then I got lost and separated from Steven, and had to wander around until I found him again.
  101. >He was with another girl that looked like me.
  102. >Things kind of went red then.
  103. >Turned out it was just a copy of me with bad taste.
  104. >Steven fessed up that he actually liked the ending with the wedding, so I let it rest.
  105. >He even drew a goofy picture of Lisa and Archemicarus together.
  106. >He let me keep it.
  107. >My best friend is a full ham, cheese, and corn platter.
  108.
  109. (Love Letters)
  110. >Dear Diary:
  111. >Steven and I took a picture together for my blog.
  112. >I told him it was for my phone’s wallpaper.
  113. >Also, I met the mailman that stops by his house.
  114. >His name is Jamie, and he’s an aspiring actor.
  115. >I wanted to be an actor too when I was little, until I told mom and dad.
  116. >The next day, dad brought home a cardboard box and said it was a “rent-free flat” for when I graduate high school.
  117. >Anyways, Jamie was in love with Garnet and wrote her a letter.
  118. >Garnet is already married to herself (I think?), so she turned him down.
  119. >We dictated her response, but Steven thought it was too harsh-sounding, so we tweaked it.
  120. >Jamie took it the wrong way and Garnet had to get blunt, but she patched him back up afterwards.
  121. >Romance can be so complex sometimes.
  122. >I went ahead and rewrote Garnet’s original message -- for study and reference.
  123. >I’ll blog about it: “Formula of the Heartbreaker.”
  124.
  125. (Sworn to the Sword)
  126. >Dear diary:
  127. >It started when I went to Steven’s house for a jam-with-jam session.
  128. >When I blinked, I was learning swordplay.
  129. >Pearl has been teaching me, and there’s been singing and calluses and a flesh wound from when I tripped up.
  130. >It's been the most fun I’ve had in my life.
  131. >When mom and dad ask about the bandages, I tell them they’re from tennis lessons.
  132. >Mom just nods and says to try harder.
  133. >I've been training so hard that I kind of went on a head trip to some dark places.
  134. >But Steven snapped me out of it, and we had words with Pearl.
  135. >I think she has some really deep-seated mother issues.
  136. >At least I think she does; can you have those with someone else’s mom?
  137. >In the end, I’m still learning, and Steven says he’ll stick with me all the way.
  138. >Oops, a nick is still bleeding; hope these pages are absorbent.
  139.
  140. (We Need to Talk)
  141. >Dear diary:
  142. >Steven and I fused again, right in front of his dad.
  143. >It happened while we were listening to music that didn’t make me sad.
  144. >Mr. Universe turned out to be okay with it and really supportive.
  145. >He even told us about how he and Steven’s mom tried to fuse.
  146. >He also showed us a tape that I don’t think my parents would let me watch.
  147. >I need to watch it again.
  148. >Mr. Universe said that his door is always open to talk about the weirder stuff.
  149. >It’s nice knowing someone who can understand what all of this is like.
  150. >I hope he understands that I need to watch the tape again.
  151.
  152. (Nightmare Hospital)
  153. >Dear diary:
  154. >My secret identity is out.
  155. >Mom came home from work and caught me with Steven’s sword.
  156. >She also thought I was home alone with Steven all evening, but that didn’t bother her.
  157. >Why does she ruin everything fun?
  158. >She had to go back to the hospital for an emergency and took the sword with her.
  159. >Steven and I followed to take it back.
  160. >We almost snuck out with it until we got caught by my mom again.
  161. >Also by two headless Gem-things made out of hands.
  162. >We got rid of them, and then I confessed to mom about all the Gem stuff I’ve been doing.
  163. >She was way more understanding then I thought she could ever be.
  164. >She was still shaken up by the Gem mutants though.
  165. >We hugged the entire way home, then she went straight for the bottle she and dad keep above the cabinet.
  166. >I think dad got the wrong idea when he came home and saw her with it.
  167. >He’s sleeping on the couch tonight.
  168. >Though I did see mom headed back downstairs in her nightgown a moment ago with the bottle a quarter empty.
  169. >I’m sure they’ll work things out.
  170. >I learned today that communication is key.
  171.
  172. (Steven's Birthday)
  173. >Dear diary:
  174. >I have had a heck of a weekend.
  175. >Steven invited me over to his dads barn for his birthday, asking if I could stay for 2 nights.
  176. >It took a lot of convincing, and after assuring them Steven and I would be under adult supervision (and dad making sure I had every form of protection known to man) Mr. Universe picked me up and drove me to the party.
  177. >Turns out Steven is older than me.
  178. >Steven. Older than me. Its still weird to think about.
  179. >Anyway, after some series of events I still don't really understand, Steven came out of the barn looking older.
  180. >And handsomer.
  181. >We played some badminton, where Steven revealed his new muscles. We danced together, and I layed my head on his manly chest.
  182. >Things got weird when we were star gazing.
  183. >He turned into a baby.
  184. >Steven turned into an adorable, crying baby.
  185. >Is it weird if I'm becoming numb to stuff like this diary?
  186. >Anyways, we eventually got him to calm down when I told him I would be with him no matter what.
  187. >After a long needed sleep, Steven turned back to normal (even though I thought he turned into a zygote)
  188. >And he now has facial hair!
  189. >Garnet pulled me aside later that day, telling me that Steven and I have something special.
  190. >I think she implied that we might be getting to second base soon.
  191. >I hope I get to second base with him.
  192. >I WILL get to second base with him.
