274.

 275.
Dallas, Texas was where he was born, but at the age of five, Damian Munroe and his family moved to Boston, Massachusetts and that became home for Damian. It was on his first day of school that he met Mark and instantly the two of them hit it off. They became fast best friends. Constantly going to each other's homes and spending time together outside of school, Damian and Mark were inseparable. Mark was the brother that Damian never had. They did everything together - even the things that often got them in trouble.

 276.
 277.
When Damian gained an interest around middle school, Mark was always the star in these films he would make and Mark was happy to do so. The two of them always encouraged the other and Mark was especially encouraging about Damian's love for film making. It sure was a big love for film making. At first Damian just inherited an old video camera from his grandparents, but having such a big love for films, Damian instantly wanted to make his own home movies with it. Tapes upon tapes began to become stored in the garage with how many movies Damian would make, Mark being in every single one of them.

 278.
 279.
After they graduated high school, Damian went off to college in Los Angeles, going to UCLA for film school while Mark went off to college on the other part of the country. After Damian graduated college, he stayed in Los Angeles to get his name out in the film making business. He started off doing commercial spots before he got a break when he was asked to film a few episodes of a tv show. It was where he made most of his money. It was during his time shooting then that he met Mia Stone, a producer for the show. After getting to know her for a bit, he got the courage to ask her out. After that, things went well for the two of them. Damian was so sure that this was the girl he was meant to be with and after a year and a half of dating, he proposed to her. She said yes and Damian couldn't have been happier.

 280.
 281.
Set to marry the girl that he loved and getting more and more filming jobs, he was eventually able to finish the script he had been working on since college. As he was off pitching it to studios, he came home one night early to catch Mia in bed with one of the actors she worked with on the show. Outraged, he fought the actor before kicking them both out of the apartment. After that, Damian immediately went back to Boston. It was only a week after the engagement was called off that he was back home, meeting up with his family and all his old friends. However, no matter how much he tried to fake how he was okay to everyone around him, he really wasn't.

 282.
 283.
Damian began to drink more and what was once a few drunken nights became him being drunk every night. He had a problem, but he didn't like to admit to it. He felt like he had lost anything and he had nothing to live for anymore, so he continued on his downward spiral. He became a drunk for years, not daring to listen to anyone, not even to family. Mark even tried to get through to him at some point, but not even Mark could help Damian. He was just far too gone.

 284.
 285.
It wasn't until one night where Mark had enough. He came home to Boston to put Damian in his place, giving him a speech about how he's ruining his own life. Finally, Damian understood that he needed to change his ways. Checking himself into rehab, he stayed there until he was one hundred percent sure he was going to be okay outside of the rehab walls. Mark was the one who took him back home and Mark had been the one who took it upon himself to remove any trace of alcohol in Damian's apartment.

 286.
 287.
Being so caught up in his own shit, Damian felt like a bad best friend who hardly knew what was going on in Mark's life, but before Mark could share everything, he had to head back Iowa. A few days later, Damian got the call that his best friend was dead - shot, they said. Someone had the heart to kill Mark. Damian couldn't believe it. The whole thing was almost too much to take and he didn't know if he was strong enough to handle it, but he was trying damn hard to do so. He knew that Mark wouldn't want him to go back down the same path that he just walked away from.
