  1. rise is interesting imo because while not suuuper rare, the more common thing for names in japan is for them to be written in kanji? but rise's name is officially written in hiragana, which gives it a more simple appeal? it's cuter, it's easy to read, easy to say and easy to write! and what i think is funny is that with the other rises, while not all of them take that approach, 2 of them do? nskdjf
  2.
  3. i think it's because while not being a traditional name, it's inspired by western names? like probably lise, or even lisette which goes ironically hand in hand with her nickname in the localization skdfjsd
  4.
  5. names written in kanji are the usual go to bc you can cram more meaning into it by having each one mean something, likeee, the other rise i know who has her name written in kanji uses "reason" and "current" as in the body of water. imo the more simpler approach has more of an impact; its stylish, its cute, and its modern? very idol like
