  1. Lammy: Yo.
  2. Nobody Important (GM): Paris Animal-Team is go, i assume?
  3. I'm not sure how i'm going to justify this in character.
  4. Lammy: Might have to spectate since we got a couple newbies, but otherwise yeah.
  5. It's go time. I could probably justify it somehow.
  6. Bartholomew: Ahoy.
  7. Lammy: Hey Bart!
  8. Bartholomew: Whoops wait a sec.
  9. Ted: Alrighty.
  10. Did we get a palyer count in the thread?
  11. Nobody Important (GM): No idea.
  12. Antoine Du Beaumont: We did not. But, going by the character's posted, we will have around 5 I imagine.
  13. Nobody Important (GM): I'm calling to arms in the thread for spectators. Hopefully our britbong friend who I hosted this for can make it.
  14. players* not spectators, sorry.
  15. Antoine Du Beaumont: Now Bart, I'm not actually playing an animal - I am however, playing a man who has a lot of experience with a princess as a wife, who used to do the whole cleaning and singing business with talking animals all the time.
  16. Perhaps in desperation, he's called out to some woodland creatures to aid him.
  17. Nobody Important (GM): You're uh
  18. Ted: You know you're probably the only human character in the party, right? And we're all going to use you as a mount?
  19. Nobody Important (GM): You're here to do something morally questionable on the behest of the inquisition.
  20. Antoine Du Beaumont: Yes. Also the Inquisition is after 'criminals' right?
  21. Nobody Important (GM): Usually..
  22. Tommy M.: GIT HYPE
  23. Ted: Hi guys.
  24. Nobody Important (GM): Not necessarily this time, but possibly.
  25. Antoine Du Beaumont: What are they after?
  26. If you tell me its a criminal, I will probably believe you.
  27. Nobody Important (GM): Well, you'll find out. They offered to pay you in whatever means you need.
  28. But that it needed to be discreet!
  29. Sefton: What, he's from the Inquisiton but he can't go around shouting "FOR THE PONTIFEX!!"? Baah, that's half the fun
  30. Tommy M.: So, how do names change?
  31. Nobody Important (GM): Gear on the top right.
  32. Tommy M.: Thanks.
  33. Nobody Important (GM): Click, scroll to 'display name'
  34. Antoine Du Beaumont: Hmm, strange...but as a sheriff, and a French man, I should have no qualms aiding them.
  35. Qasi: Aight, let's roll.
  36. Ted: For the image you'll have to go back to the profile page thou.
  37. Antoine Du Beaumont: Ah, speaking of profiles, we redid equipment rules if I'm not mistaken.
  38. Nobody Important (GM): We're waiting for another 5 minutes to see if anyone else shows up.
  39. Yep, we did. +5 total combined bonus.
  40. Sefton: I'm just here to spectate, btw. I'll be quiet once it starts
  41. Qasi: As a guy who spends most of his time trying to steal stuff from corrupt stupid rich people for fun, I'd probably just see how far we can run if we keep what they're after.
  42. Antoine Du Beaumont: And Greatswords are like, yeah you can have it, but it's 4/5 you're bonuses.
  43. Qasi: This was necessary.
  44. Antoine Du Beaumont: Was it?
  45. Qasi: Yes.
  46. Ted: Aye cap'n.
  47. Qasi: Can't have a roll20 game without somebody drawing boobs.
  48. Sefton: Hey, just read the main page. Are you re using the first session, Nob?
  49. Nobody Important (GM): Ah, I see a velociraptor walks among us.
  50. Qasi: Never had one before that didn't fuck up.
  51. Nobody Important (GM): First... session? Yeah, this is all the same campaign, just on different maps.
  52. 'maps'
  53. Sefton: Yeah, you know, the one with No One. Sorry, not sure which word to use for these
  54. Second language and all
  55. Qasi: I'm an artist, clearly.
  56. Ted: (character cameos in Disney Team Prime When?)
  57. Sefton: Needs more Squidward nose
  58. Nobody Important (GM): Well, I'm gonna put up the scenario for that one later so people can run it on their own
  59. You guys are ~2,000 miles away.
  60. Qasi: Now it just looks like a cock.
  61. Sefton: No, it looks like ART
  62. And I see, nice. Thanks Nob
  63. Qasi: Of course, cocks are art, aren't they.
  64. Thanks, renaissance sculptors!
  65. Sefton: By the by. Stats for villains and stuff above Lackeys are done or playtest is still needed?
  66. Qasi: And also ancient greeks/romans!
  67. Nobody Important (GM): Oh fuck no, I've only done the barest crunch on those.
  68. We're not even really ready to playtest them, the only things we know is that they're tougher than Lackeys and get 3-4 actions a turn
  69. Nasty Little Beasty: Did you know the reason the reason that the famous statue of David has tiny genitals because your genitals shrink when you're scared and the artist wanted to make David seem intimidated by Goliath?
  70. Nobody Important (GM): We could use one more player, otherwise we're just going to go in ~5 minutes.
  71. Seems to me like he just fucked up and didn't want to tell anyone.
  72. Qasi: Huh. Did not know that.
  73. Nobody Important (GM): Anyway, why are you in paris and what is the inquisition offering to do something dangerous and likely immoral?
  74. Ted: Heard something like that but I always thought it was just a dickjoke.
  75. Antoine Du Beaumont: I live in Paris.
  76. Sefton: By the way. Are you planning on trying to run any on-a-roll or higher tier sessions?
  77. Qasi: I'm in Paris for the same reason I'm anywhere: Just passing through, probably stole something from somebody.
  78. Nasty Little Beasty: Diesel fuel, if they have any.
  79. Qasi: So now I'm being sent on a suicide mission.
  80. They caught me, I guess.
  81. Antoine Du Beaumont: And hey, the Inquistion has the reputation for a being a 'typically law-abiding' group, so as a man of order, I am happy to help them.
  82. Nobody Important (GM): ((That's the idea eventually, Sefton. When we finish progression-scaling I'll give it a shot.))
  83. Nasty Little Beasty: Need to refuel the heli-raptor.
  84. Ted: Sightseeing. I'm trying to explore the wider world.
  85. Sefton: (Nice. Welp, I'll be quiet now then. Have fun ya'll)
  86. Nobody Important (GM): Well, they have holy promethium -- i mean, menoth's fury -- I mean, Holy Fire, if that works.
  87. Nasty Little Beasty: Well, we'll see what happens when we put it in the fuel tank.
  88. Ted: Hi Alastair!
  89. Just in time to join.
  90. Ponderous Murderhobo: (Hi. Have you alredady started?)
  91. Qasi: (Not yet.)
  92. Antoine Du Beaumont: [Nope, you're just in time]
  93. Ponderous Murderhobo: (https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1357091/post-character-sheets-here-for-future-games#post-1359782)
  94. Nobody Important (GM): Okay.
  95. A monkey, a snake-man, a bug, a velociraptor, and a dude walk into a bar.
  96. Ted: Btw, you might want to remove the audio input. We're getting some creepy-ass noises here.
  97. Ponderous Murderhobo: I say "Ow"
  98. Nasty Little Beasty: Fair warning: the monkey will have to convince me not to eat him.
  99. Qasi: And the guy who likes laws will have to convince me not to steal things from people I dislike.
  100. Unless it'd be That Guy.
  101. Nobody Important (GM): Eh
  102. I don't think anyone's going to mind you robbing an archbishop.
  103. Nasty Little Beasty: Define 'dislike'.
  104. Ponderous Murderhobo: Qasi, I'll just steal them first
  105. Qasi: Is a dick, and has more money than they need.
  106. Antoine Du Beaumont: Have you seen Antoine's stats? He's a combat monster, not a negotiator. I'll try to talk you down, but the best I can do is waggle a finger and guilt trip you like a single mother whose out of options.
  107. Nobody Important (GM): Okay then, seeing as everyone who's playing is here, let's start into it. Hopefully our britbong friend actually made it to this game.
  108. Qasi: That would be me.
  109. I did, thank you.
  110. Nobody Important (GM): Well, congratulations. This session is for you.
  111. Ted: Don't you worry, you have here the most persuasive earwig in the world.
  112. Ponderous Murderhobo: "Hello, my good man. I can't help but notice that you see to want to eat me"
  113. Nobody Important (GM): Anyway; For various reasons, you are ushered into a small, poorly lit room in the lower sections of one of the many, many churches of paris.
  114. Your usherers are the red-robed, masked Inquisitors, but for once they don't seem to be in any desire to inflict grievous pain.
  115. Nasty Little Beasty: "Eh, I'm not hungry yet."
  116. "YET."
  117. Nobody Important (GM): A man sits across the table from you in red robes, mask off. He has a face that could be literally anyone, so plain it is. "Sit down, 'gentlemen.'
  118. Nasty Little Beasty: ((No One didn't get eaten by the Friends, he moved to France!))
  119. Ponderous Murderhobo: "I'd really prefer you not to do that, and so should you. You see, I have the ability to find you much tastier food, and if you kill a human such as myself, people would get very angry." (I roll deceive to look human)
  120. Qasi: I do so, no reason not to. Keeping an eye on this guy, though.
  121. Nasty Little Beasty: insight/sensibility
  122. Antoine Du Beaumont: Antoine sits politely, setting his gear down besides him. Sadly, they wouldn't let him ride his horse into the church, but oh well. "What task have you for us to complete?"

  149. Ted: I jump on the nearest humanoidìd's shoulder and start pestering him to ask the guy why are we here.
  150. Nobody Important (GM): "My name is... well, let's just call me Alfred Jackson."
  151. Alastair, he seems on the level.
  152. Qasi: "Hello, man with a mossst likely fake name."
  153. Nobody Important (GM): He looks like he's going to ask you to do something seriously dangerous, though.
  154. Nasty Little Beasty: "Hm....for a man, you certainly look and smell like a monkey, but I've been wrong about these things before."
  155. Qasi: "I don't blame you, I have a few myself. Not like they ssstop people recognising me."
  156. Ponderous Murderhobo: "I trust that you have a task for us of some sort, Alfred?"
  157. Nasty Little Beasty: "Heck, I don't even know exactly what I am."
  158. Nobody Important (GM): "In the end, is not every man a monkey, separated only by god's grace? Regardless, you all have your reasons for being here -- and some of you have money, or other things, to earn."
  159. Ted: "Wow I really landed in a genius club."
  160. Nobody Important (GM): "Yes, I do have a task for you. I need you to do something for us -- discreetly."
  161. "All of you." he says, looking around the room.
  162. Qasi: "Dissscreet isss my middle name, when thingsss go right."
  163. Antoine Du Beaumont: "And what that might be?" Antoine is not the best at discreetness, but he's willing to help.
  164. Nasty Little Beasty: "Hey, I've never seen another of my kind, and no one's ever told me what I am!"
  165. Ponderous Murderhobo: "Go on
  166. Ted: "Wait a moment, Torquemada. We want details. And I mean an honest to God briefing, no "need-to-know-basis" crap".
  167. Nobody Important (GM): He looks at Nasty for a moment. "Monsieur, you appear to be some sort of lizard. I'm not entirely sure."
  168. Ponderous Murderhobo: "I was wondering that myself"
  169. Qasi: "No lizard I recognissse, and my mother was half-lizzzard herssself."
  170. Nasty Little Beasty: "Lizard-bird-dog, actually. So what do you need done anyways?"
  171. Nobody Important (GM): He claps his hands. "Now, I'm sure all of you understand the virtue of a speedy job and cutting directly to the point, so I'll lay it on you straight. I need you to break into Archbishop Rene Ducard's estate, and find material that would convict him of treason."
  172. Nasty Little Beasty: "Don't you mean.....HERESY!?"
  173. Ponderous Murderhobo: "I've heard tales of creatures like you from my first mate, who spent some time in Madagascar, but he described something a bit less, shall we say, modestly statured?
  174. Nobody Important (GM): "Some of our number have suspected him of cooperating with... foreign powers for a while now, but given that he is the head of the church and the local inquisition branch, he shuts down investigations on himself."
  175. ((Ponderous, cut that out for now, that's one of his Hero goals man))
  176. Ponderous Murderhobo: "May we also take extra items we find, just for thouroughness' sake, you understand?"
  177. Qasi: "I'd asssssume, asss an Archbissshop, he'd be a wealthy man. Am I- i mean, are WE allowed to borrow a few sufficiently shiny things from his house?"
  178. Antoine Du Beaumont: "Treason! My word! And what queer behavior indeed."
  179. Ted: "Wait aren't you the French Inquisition? Since when you need proof, and all that jazz?"
  180. Ponderous Murderhobo: ((shit, sorry))
  181. Nobody Important (GM): He rubs his nose. "He runs the local inquisition. He shuts down investigations before they happen. Yes, if you find evidence of treason, or, god forbid, actual heresy, you may take anything you want since it would all be condemned to the fire regardless."
  182. "This is a... covert, undercover and internal operation, so if you're caught we can't guarantee your safety."
  183. Qasi: "I'm in."
  184. "My sssafety'sss asss guaranteed asss it normally isss."
  185. Sefton: (The reason he picked them specificaly is probably just for game convenience, right?)
  186. Nobody Important (GM): "Nonetheless, if you do this for us we're prepared to offer anything you need in payment after the mission is done."
  187. Nasty Little Beasty: "No promises of safety has been my life story. Where's the creep live?"
  188. Nobody Important (GM): ((That, and nobody's gonna care if a bunch of animals are killed by the Inquisition.))
  189. Ponderous Murderhobo: "Your terms sound acceptable. Why did you gather these ruffians though? I could have done this myself."
  190. Ted: "You had my attention, now you have my curiosity. I'm fine."
  191. Antoine Du Beaumont: "This man's unjust, questionable behavior shall not go unpunished!" Antoine stands briskly from the table, eager to rush headfirst into the operation. "You have my blade!"
  192. Ponderous Murderhobo: "And my billyclub!"
  193. Nobody Important (GM): "A team works better than one man, small sir."
  194. Antoine Du Beaumont: "Now come my, uh, animal companions! We shall make swift work of this evil-doer!"
  195. Qasi: "HALF-animal."
  196. Ted: "Ok, the "man" has kind of a point: why HIM for an undercover mission?" (points to Antoine)
  197. Nobody Important (GM): "He lives on east side, at this address -- although you are unlikely to miss his estate given that it is the only residential building in the area. I ask specifically that you do not kill or alert him! If you MUST kill agents of the most holy inquisition, that is fine, but do not alert Rene himself or he shall flee and it shall all be worthless!
  198. Qasi: (Check your privilege, monospecies scum)
  199. Nobody Important (GM): ((He's a good catholic. He's supposed to keep them in line.))
  200. Antoine Du Beaumont: [I am an EXCELLENT Catholic]
  201. Nasty Little Beasty: ((Something I should probably ask loooooong before combat begins: we're cool with rolling Agility for Brawl, right?))
  202. Qasi: (I was going to roll Agility for Melee. That's possible, isn't it?)
  203. Ponderous Murderhobo: "What on earth are you talking about!I have a bit of a condition, but I am a gentleman, not a beast!"
  204. I pick a small insect out of my fur and eat it.
  205. Ted: "Geez, good thing I have brains for both." (no offense Lammy).
  206. Antoine Du Beaumont: [Haha, none taken.]
  207. Nobody Important (GM): ((I'd say you can because you should be able to. There's no actual ruling on it though, Qasi))
  208. ((Yeah, Agility for Brawl was intended with small animals.))
  209. Qasi: (Right, I'll do that then.)
  210. Nobody Important (GM): ((I decided against requiring a trait to allow someone to attack in melee with Agility)))
  211. Ponderous Murderhobo: (I plan to use Agility for Melee, and I thought we ruled on it when I was brought up rapiers)
  212. Ted: (I think it's perfectly fine for a style working more with finesse and precision than brute strenght).
  213. Nobody Important (GM): ((Yeah, it just hasn't been properly fixed on the 1d4chan page.))
  214. ((Nasty, if your vehicle has any fuel left it could actually be useful here.))
  215. Antoine Du Beaumont: [If we need to travel, I have a horse]
  216. [I could take the monkey and the bug on my shoulders.]
  217. Ponderous Murderhobo: "Could you provide us with a nice long length of rope for this operation"
  218. ?
  219. Nasty Little Beasty: ((Hrm....how far away is the house?))
  220. Ponderous Murderhobo: "Alfred? Could you please supply us with a length of rope for this engagement, as an expense?"
  221. Nobody Important (GM): ((I sincerely apologize, my display driver crashed.))
  222. ((The house itself is no more than a mile and a half away.)) "I... Yes, what kind of rope and how long?"
  223. Qasi: "What's the longest you have?"
  224. Nobody Important (GM): He thinks for a moment. "A little over seventy meters, I think."
  225. Antoine Du Beaumont: [That's a lot of rope]
  226. Nobody Important (GM): (~200 feet)
  227. Qasi: "Then let's get 70 metres of rope."
  228. Ponderous Murderhobo: (I'll bet the good man was just a bit hard of hard of hearing)
  229. long enough to reach from the man's roof to the ground, strong enough to hold my good friend's weight" (gestures to the knight)
  230. Nobody Important (GM): "It shall be delivered to you upon exiting this building on the second left turn."
  231. Qasi: (This is probably long enough that we can tie a guy to a chair and then hang him with the same rope.
  232. Ponderous Murderhobo: "thank you kind sir"
  233. Nasty Little Beasty: ((Probably got enough for a trip there and back))
  234. Sefton: (Can never have too much rope)
  235. Nobody Important (GM): ((200 feet of rope is a lot, but you guys did ask for the longest bit they had...))
  236. Ponderous Murderhobo: "what kind of fuel does this contraption run on?"
  237. Sefton: (GUess you've got a rope in hell to come back now)
  238. Ted: "Good. Now, is there something we should know about the bishop's mansion? Guards, traps, giant mutated wolves, anything?"
  239. Nasty Little Beasty: "Diesel."
  240. Antoine Du Beaumont: "Yes, what sort of horrors might await us?"
  241. [Also monkey man, I'm totally strong enough to anchor you down - I forget that we need to be stealthy and busting down the door isn't the best idea]
  242. Nobody Important (GM): "Well, now that is certainly a question, Sir Beaumont; first, he will likely have guards. No more than twenty, mind, but guards nonetheless."
  243. "He should be asleep in an hour given his routine if you're interested in waiting, but that would mean being under the cover of night."
  244. Antoine Du Beaumont: "Guards? Wonderful!"
  245. Nobody Important (GM): "Moreover, there are likely a few Inquisitors on hand, and whatever treasonous or heretical companions he has may have provided him with some... support.
  246. Ponderous Murderhobo: "Okay, I have a suggestion. I shall climb into any available window from the outside, tie down the rope, and all of you can follow"
  247. Nobody Important (GM): "If you must kill them, please hide their bodies or dispose of them, or return to us as swiftly as possible so he doesn't have time to flee our righteous fury."
  248. Ted: (Oh god, he's gonna be a wizard, isn't he Nob?)
  249. Nasty Little Beasty: "Let's just get a look at this place first."
  250. Nobody Important (GM): ((i'll have every scenario yet be about beating up wizards))
  251. Sefton: (I'm okay with that)
  252. Nobody Important (GM): ((but no, actually not this time.))
  253. Antoine Du Beaumont: "Hmm...if that is the case, might you offer us some kindling? Fire is often an excellent tool."
  254. Nobody Important (GM): "Of course, monsieur. What kind?"
  255. Ted: "Off we go then. We'll be back in a jiffy."
  256. Antoine Du Beaumont: "If you have any flint and steel, along with some easily burnable materials to offer us, such as twine, I think that shall aid us most tremendously."
  257. Ponderous Murderhobo: "this contraption of your's can it lift us all?"
  258. Nasty Little Beasty: ((Whatever you're planning, I'm starting to think it's a bad idea.))
  259. Nobody Important (GM): "Easily done. I'll have flint, tinder, and some cotton wool passed to you along with the rope."
  260. Nasty Little Beasty: "Well, you and the bug and I."
  261. Antoine Du Beaumont: "Tres bien!"
  262. Ponderous Murderhobo: "If we are doing this, do you happen to have any alcohol of any kind?
  263. Nobody Important (GM): "Alcohol is a sin, my sir."
  264. "So, no."
  265. Ponderous Murderhobo: "for use as an accelerant, you understand"
  266. Nobody Important (GM): "I understand, but we still do not keep any on the premises."
  267. Qasi: "Ssssure.
  268. Antoine Du Beaumont: "Indeed - the intoxication of the mind is a most foul sin indeed."
  269. Ted: Yeah, pull the other one."
  270. Qasi: "Don't worry, misssster fake-name, I'll make sssure he doesssn't drink any."
  271. Ponderous Murderhobo: "Just clarifying that I have never had a drop in my life." (I roll deceit)
  272. Qasi: "You can trusst me, can't you?"
  273. Antoine Du Beaumont: [even if catholics do the whole blood of christ thing and probably would have some altar wine, thats not really flammable because the alcohol content is generally very low]
  274. Qasi: Qasi grins, exposing a forked tounge.

  319. Nobody Important (GM): ((Well, he's just lying then. You guys going to head out, or do you have more questions for 'alfred jackson'?))
  320. Ted: (Ready to go personally.)
  321. Qasi: (I'm ready to go.)
  322. Antoine Du Beaumont: Having no further inquiries, Antoine charges out the door - expecting his animal brethren to follow in his stead. "We ride!"
  323. Ted: "YOU ride. We're traveling in style!"
  324. Antoine Du Beaumont: Assuming his horse is still parked outside, he'll hop on.
  325. Ponderous Murderhobo: I race out after him, take a wrong turn, and then turn around and go the other way.
  326. Nobody Important (GM): One of the red-robed men shows you out, unlocking doors for you.
  327. Antoine Du Beaumont: "I never did care much for the newfangled technology of the west much anyhow."
  328. Ted: I just jump on Beasy's shoulders and le him carry me.
  329. Nobody Important (GM): It's evening outside, and your 'goods' are waiting at the second left turn. You're about ~30 minutes from his estate, but it's about an hour until night falls.
  330. Ponderous Murderhobo: I ride antoin
  331. Antoine Du Beaumont: This is tolerable.
  332. Nobody Important (GM): Streets are still somewhat full of pious people, heads down and trying not to look at the... odd crowd.
  333. Ponderous Murderhobo: I jump on his head, and ride him like he's riding his horse
  334. Antoine Du Beaumont: This is a little less tolerable, but still tolerable.
  335. Qasi: "Sssmile and wave, boyssss."
  336. Nasty Little Beasty: The sight of a velociraptor flying a hilcopter no doubt amazes them.
  337. Qasi: "Sssmile and wave."
  338. Nobody Important (GM): No doubt. You suspect you'd be getting in trouble with the authorities right now if you weren't working with them.
  339. Ponderous Murderhobo: I tip my hat to the crowd
  340. Qasi: Qasi smiles and waves.
  341. (M'lady.)
  342. Nobody Important (GM): You've got your goods and roughly 25 minutes before you need to start heading to the archbishop's estate.
  343. What are you going to do?
  344. Qasi: (I can no longer think of hat tipping without thinking of fedora-tipping neckbeards. My god.)
  345. Nasty Little Beasty: Go early and sneak around the outside, scouting for weaknesses.
  346. Ponderous Murderhobo: (it's a top hat)
  347. Ted: (Low voice) "Pffft, undercover mission my cephalothorax..."
  348. Qasi: What he said.

  350. Nobody Important (GM): Alright.
  351. Qasi: "I'd asssk what one of thossse is, but my wife had a cloaca."
  352. "So I don't want to know."
  353. Ted: I follow suit.
  354. Nobody Important (GM): People are going to ignore this, pointedly.
  355. Okay. His estate is big -- palatial, almost.
  356. You'd estimate from outside that it's nearly 50 rooms, and some of those rooms are BIG.
  357. Ponderous Murderhobo: I look for open windows
  358. Nobody Important (GM): It's a bit humbling to see the squalor not two blocks from his estate and the white marble and gold leaf on this building.
  359. Nasty Little Beasty: So.....stealth check to remain undetected, and insight to find weak points?
  360. Nobody Important (GM): There are open windows on the third floor on the west side of the house.

  506. Some, but they have guards in them.
  507. If you had to estimate an actual weak spot, you'd probably want the study windows on the third floor, back left corner of the house.

  2315. Qasi: I hope so.
2316. Nasty Little Beasty: Dino is getting the hell out of dodge.
  2317. Qasi: Because I have a plan.
2318. Ponderous Murderhobo: no, actually he's getting too far away to hear my song
2319. Antoine Du Beaumont: Saypnora dino man
  2320. Shit, *sayonora
  2321. Qasi: Dammit, Pond
2322. Nobody Important (GM): Qasi hs it.
2323. Ted: Did I find it yet?
  2324. Qasi: Thanks.
2325. Nobody Important (GM): Qasi is like ~10 feet from you.
  2326. Qasi: Okay, whose turn?
2327. Nobody Important (GM): Yeah, you found his room.
2328. He's padding about, rubbing his eyes in his bedclothes.
2329. Antoine Du Beaumont: [slay him]
2330. Ted: Okay, fly to ear again
2331. Antoine Du Beaumont: [burrow yourself in his eardum]
2332. [make him plead for death]
2333. Ponderous Murderhobo: [lets not slay him, that was the whole point of this mission]
2334. Qasi: [and then deny him until he confesses to the Archbishop's treason]
2335. Nasty Little Beasty: Let's see, 28 base times 2 for An Impressive Performance, times 4 for taking 2 actions a round is....224 meters per round. How long does it take me to return to my aircraft going out the study window, because it'll take about 7 or 8 minutes to return to our benefactor from there.
2336. Antoine Du Beaumont: [yes, subdue him]
2337. Ted: "Dude, it's your coscience speaking. We have aproble. Remember those weird foreign agent you paid to take away some of the guns? Yes, of course you do".
2338. "Your guards think they're robbers and they're fighting with them,"
2339. Nobody Important (GM): I'd say you can make it in one round if you succeed on Acrobatics+Agility to not die from the fall
  2340. Nasty Little Beasty:
  2341. rolling 4d6k3+16

2354. Nobody Important (GM): Alright, you land on the far side of the fence, and can make it to your helicopter.
2355. Ted: "If they get to jail those pussies are totally gonna sing, and if they do you're ruined."
2356. Ponderous Murderhobo: Can I try to stop him with an opposing roll?
2357. Nobody Important (GM): He's really, really fucking fast dudde
  2358. That's like, a kilometer in ~40 seconds.
2359. Ponderous Murderhobo: that is some next level bullshit
2360. Nobody Important (GM): Test me Deceit, ted. When you finish, I mean.
  2361. Sarge: Dino = Sanic
  2362. Ponderous Murderhobo: I'm impressed
2363. Antoine Du Beaumont: 12 Agility man
2364. Nobody Important (GM): Yeah, shame it isn't going to do much unless you guys get out safely.
2365. Ted: "So what you do now is: stomp down to the hall, stop the fight, give the nice spies some extra for their troubles and tell your guards to NEVER speak of this with no-one, especially the Inquisition, on pain of death. Claro?"
2366. Antoine Du Beaumont: Fast life
2367. Nobody Important (GM): ((deceit, ted))
  2368. (+charm)
2369. Ponderous Murderhobo: I have 12 agi too, but not your power
  2370. Ted:

2384. Nasty Little Beasty: Yeah, so 7-8 minutes before the Cops start heading here. Nasty gets his diesel, and flies off to somewhere safe to pore over the geography textbook. Gotta go handle IRL shit now, thanks for playing guys.
2385. Antoine Du Beaumont: Thanks for the fun times, dino man.
  2386. Ted: Thanks, bye.
2387. Nobody Important (GM): "Good idea, conscience."
2388. Rene Ducard tromps his way out to the atrium.
  2389. Qasi: Whose turn next?
  2390. Nobody Important (GM): Qasi
  2391. Ponderous Murderhobo: bye, raptorman
2392. Qasi: Right, I'm going to use Have You Thought About Unionising?, with the +5 bonus from the song.
2393. "So, how much do they pay you guys to do this?"
2394. "Stand around all night, being tired, hungry, bored, and ready to be shot if somebody like myself acquires one of these babies."
2395. Nobody Important (GM): "Roughly three guilder an hour."
2396. Qasi: "There are better jobs, don't you think?"
  2397. Rolling Persuasion + Charm.
  2398. Nobody Important (GM): K

2412. Nobody Important (GM): Okay then.
  2413. Antoine Du Beaumont: nICE
2414. Nobody Important (GM): That's the second time we've seen all 6ses.
  2415. Qasi: Strike each.
  2416. Ponderous Murderhobo: DAMN, SON
2417. Antoine Du Beaumont: Oh, was I the first?
2418. Qasi: Or two strikes if that's how crits work.
2419. Nobody Important (GM): One strike each.
2420. Antoine Du Beaumont: excellent train driving
2421. Nobody Important (GM): They look around, mutter, and drop their weapons.
2422. Antoine Du Beaumont: YOU GOT THIS QASI
2423. Nobody Important (GM): One of them unlocks the doors and they begin to file out.
2424. Qasi: "Bye! Lead good lives!"
2425. Nobody Important (GM): Rene stomps around the corner just in time to see everyone pouring out.
2426. "W-wait! I hired you to protect this place!"
2427. Qasi: "Don't worry, Rene, the situation's dealt with."
2428. "Although your guards may be going on strike. We'll just leave while you deal with that."
2429. Antoine Du Beaumont: Returning the saber to his scabbard, Antoine shrugs. "Well, I suppose they deserve a chance to amend for their sins."
2430. Nobody Important (GM): Rene begins arguing with his guards.
2431. Qasi: I wave as I leave, carrying both the guns I borrowed.
2432. Ponderous Murderhobo: I approach him and tell him that there was minor issue, but it's nothing to worry about
2433. Qasi: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU PLAY 3.X?
2434. Nobody Important (GM): Well, the ones that aren't currently debating why tyranids are such shit.
2435. Ted: I fly to Antoine's face and point my stinger to his eyes, in case he tries to arrest him or something.
2436. Antoine Du Beaumont: You have a stinger?
  2437. Qasi: Anyway, we out?
  2438. 'Cause I out.
2439. Antoine Du Beaumont: You know, I wasn't planning on arresting them, but you make a tempting offer.
2440. Qasi: ANd I'm taking my guns with me.
2441. Ted: It's more like rear mandibles, but whatever.
2442. Nobody Important (GM): Well. You'll have to hand it over to the inquisition, but... yeah, you're out.
2443. Ponderous Murderhobo: I thought you were a leaf this whole time....
  2444. Ted: Butt antlers.
2445. Nobody Important (GM): It's ~15 minutes before the Inquisition shows up, based on Dino Man's escape, and you don't want to be here.
  2446. Ted: WE FLY! AWAY!
2447. Antoine Du Beaumont: "Shoo bug, I every intention of arresting them in due time. But today is not this day. As the Americans say, "It's time to haul ass!"
2448. Nobody Important (GM): Well, that was certainly an exciting adventure.
2449. For different reasons than I had anticipated.
2450. Antoine Du Beaumont: I hop on my horse. Gracefully galloping ensues. Animal companions are free to hitch a ride.
2451. Ponderous Murderhobo: I persuade him to tell me what he knows about this "Atlantis" that the book mentioned
2452. Ted: We also had our first inter-party fight.
  2453. Nobody Important (GM): Yep.
  2454. Ponderous Murderhobo: Fuckin' dinos
2455. Antoine Du Beaumont: I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get to SLASH and TEAR huge guts, but it was stealth based after all.
2456. Nobody Important (GM): So, what did you think? Of the game system, this adventure, etc.
  2457. Qasi: Great system.
  2458. Ted: I had a blast.
2459. Nobody Important (GM): Yeah, we needed to squeeze in Legerdemain and stealth somehow.
  2460. Ted: As always.
2461. Antoine Du Beaumont: A nice change of pace, and I quite enjoy the system, yes.
  2462. Qasi: Yep.
2463. I'm going to run a game IRL, I think.
2464. Antoine Du Beaumont: I'm hoping to join an actual campaign once the beta is released.
2465. Ponderous Murderhobo: I appreciate the value of Insight now
2466. Nobody Important (GM): I think we need to limit the total music bonus.
  2467. Ponderous Murderhobo: why?
2468. Nobody Important (GM): +3 is fine for base 20 but +5 is really not.
  2469. Ponderous Murderhobo: my +5 isn't reasonable?
2470. Nobody Important (GM): For one action that's +2d6.
2471. Ponderous Murderhobo: let's make it increase, but not linearly
2472. Turnop: I was impressed how differently a loose knight archetype was to a loose champion archetype.
  2473. Role-playing wise.
2474. Nobody Important (GM): We need to codify that you can't use social skills on your fellow players to trick them, or really do anything other than use Persuasion to heal them.
2475. Yeah, the archetypes are shaping up well.
2476. Antoine Du Beaumont: Well thank you.
  2477. Ponderous Murderhobo: like, 20 is +3, 25 is +4, 35 is +5, 50 is +6
2478. Antoine Du Beaumont: Even though I didn't get much combat in, I had fun being a general nuisance by means of my ego.
2479. And personal sense of justice.
2480. Nobody Important (GM): I'm gonna dump this into a pastebin and throw it up on the thread.
  2481. Turnop: coo
2482. Ponderous Murderhobo: wait, does this mean that I can't try to trick everyone into thinking I'm a human?
2483. Nobody Important (GM): Even if we didn't learn much from it.
2484. Depends on your fellow players.
2485. If they're willing to go with it, sure, but you can't convince the unwilling.
2486. Qasi: Alright, let's tell the thread how it went.
  2487. Good job, boys.
2488. Ponderous Murderhobo: No one ever did beat the roll to find out if I was a monkey
2489. Antoine Du Beaumont: A monkey?
2490. You were just a tiny little manlet.
2491. What are you talking about?
2492. Ted: I turned the guards in /tg/. Still having a giggle.
2493. Nobody Important (GM): the tinies
2494. Anyway, into the 'bin it goes. Thanks for coming, guys!
2495. Ponderous Murderhobo: also, modifiers should be a thing for social skills
2496. Antoine Du Beaumont: Is this the last playtest?
2497. Nobody Important (GM): Eh... don't want to fall into the shadowrun trap of TABLES OF MODIFIERS
2498. Antoine Du Beaumont: Are we finally ready to release beta?
2499. Nobody Important (GM): Nah, there'll be more. Probably another this tuesday.
2500. Antoine Du Beaumont: What sort of things still need to be tested?
2501. Nobody Important (GM): We don't have Inner Circle or Villain rules yet, so not quite yet...
2502. Ponderous Murderhobo: just things like a believable lie has -5, a crazy lie has +10, that kind of thing
2503. Nobody Important (GM): I'll do something like that when I'm making example TNs for each skill.
2504. We need Inner Circle/Villain rules, some more traits and powers, and some Heroic Traits and Heroic Powers before we move into beta.
2505. More importantly, we need a lot of fluff.
2506. Ponderous Murderhobo: next test, do you want to run all heroes?
2507. Antoine Du Beaumont: That would be fun.
2508. I'd be down for that.
2509. Nobody Important (GM): I'll consider it, but I don't have a suitably challenging enemy designed.
2510. Ponderous Murderhobo: give everyone a pretty high number of lessons to spend?
  2511. Ted: Fine by me.
2512. Ponderous Murderhobo: We can work on that between now and tuesday
2513. Nobody Important (GM): We'll see.
2514. I still need to RUN it, after all.
  2515. But it seems likely.
