- MY LITTLE JOJO: STANDS ARE MAGIC
- CHAPTER 9: TRIXIE AND STARLIGHT DON'T KNOW WHAT HITS THEM
- OPEN THE GAME!
- >Trixie has never had a friend before
- >Sure, you've had droves upon droves of fans
- >Well, okay, maybe not THAT many fans...
- >But a genuine friend is a new experience for you
- >Not that you'd mess it up!
- >You may be the humble and kind Trixie now
- >But that doesn't mean you're NOT great and powerful still
- >You'll do fine!
- >Yeah...
- >...
- >This silence betwixt you and Starlight isn't awkward at ALL
- >"Trixie? You okay?"
- "Yes, Trixie's fine. She's just... slightly nervous."
- >"What's up?"
- "Am... Am I a good friend?"
- >This stops Starlight
- >"Well... I mean, you're kinda... y'know, a show off, which I guess comes with the territory of being a performer. You also talk in the third person which can sometimes get on my nerves..."
- >Your face lowers slightly
- >"But you're still a good friend! Nopony's perfect!"
- >Of course!
- >W-Who could possibly deny their love of the GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE?
- >Y'know...
- >Besides anyone with a tomato, or anything small enough to not be lethal but still do damage
- >"What's wrong Trixie?"
- "I'm still not used to this whole... friendship thing."
- >"Oh, don't worry, you'll get it in no time. Besides, isn't this the point of why we're walking to your house? To hang out and become better friends?"
- "Yes, of course! Trixie was just..."
- >You pause, attempting to find an answer that didn't sound needy or limp
- "Do you think the other girls hate Trixie?"
- >"Well du-"
- >She stops as she notices the frown on your face
- >"-I'm sure that, in time, they'll appreciate your company, but-... Yeah, I got nothin'."
- "Trixie thanks you for the attempt nonetheless."
- >"No problem."
- >Starlight wraps her foreleg around your neck
- >"That's what friends are for, right?"
- >This puts a smile on your face
- >A few minutes pass as you both arrive at your trailer in a field a few minutes away from Ponyville, next to the Everfree
- >You open the door to the inside before turning around to your current companion
- "So, would you like to come in?"
- >She nods, and you move out of the way as she steps into your humble abode
- >It feels odd having another pony in here with you
- >Though it's actually quite large on the inside, considering it's meant to be a trailer for pre-show prep
- >You've just never had a pony in here with you
- >Except for an... escort, every once in a while, when you were particularly lonely
- >Not that you were lonely now, what with this beautiful mare-
- >Who was your friend
- >And nothing else
- >There wasn't much in here, to be quite honest
- >A bed, a fridge with a cold enchantment, a small desk and vanity, a tiny-as-tartarus restroom with a toilet and sink which were both linked to a water tank and a waste tank with an inodorosity enchantment, and your box of magical tools for shows
- >There was also your JoyBoy, currently sitting on your bed and housing your copy of Professor Neighton and the Curious Village
- >You haven't played that in a while, now that you think about it
- >Naturally it was easy, for somepony so intelligent
- >It's not like you've been stuck on a particular puzzle that ABSOLUTELY INFURIATES you
- >Not at all
- >You've just been busy
- >"This is pretty big for a trailer!"
- >You turn to Starlight, whose eyes are open in wonder
- "What can Trixie say? When you're on the road constantly, you have to make it a second home. Or in Trixie's case, first."
- >"I'd think it would get lonely here, traveling alone all the time."
- >No, please, rub it in Trixie's face
- >"NOT THAT I'M INSINUATING ANYTHING OR- actually, I never asked, but are you single?"
- >A blush crosses your face
- >And you feared YOU were bad at friendship
- >Though, this is moreso conversation than-
- >"I mean-... I-..."
- >An awkward silence begins to form in the room
- "How would you like to learn some more magic with Trixie? I never showed you more than that one trick, did I?"
- >"Ooh, that sounds like fun!"
- "Okay, just wait outside and I'll be right there."
- >She steps outside and you begin to go through the box, wondering what to show Starlight
- >Rings? Nah
- >Wand? Come now, you want to impress Starlight, not bore her
- >Disappearing box? Sure
- >Simple, but fun
- >You grab that and a few other items, bringing them with you outside
- >Starlight sits there, eager to learn
- >A noise earns your attention
- >What the Tartarus?
- >You turn your head towards the trailer and wonder what that noise was
- >It sounded like...
- >You turn away
- >It's probably nothing
- >You bring the box out, unfolding it
- >"Alright Starlight, today I'm going to teach you how to DISAPPEAR!"
- >You flip your cape-
- >That's not there, right
- >You didn't have your outfit
- >Oh well
- "Watch closely now. You wouldn't want to miss this!"
- >You open the box and enter it, but leave the door open
- "When I close this door, I want you to knock on it three times, okay?"
- >She nods and you close it
- >The secret to this is...
- >*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
- >This is only one of TWO compartments in this box
- >You slide down the false barrier, sliding with grace into the next compartment
- >You're about to slide open the secret door when-
- >"AAAAUUUUUUUGH!"
- >WHAT THE SHIT?!
- >You go back into the main compartment, slide the door closed and open the main door
- >Starlight is currently lying on the ground, bleeding
- >Oh shit
- >You run towards her, brushing her mane out of her face
- "Starlight! What happened?!"
- >"I don't know! I was standing waiting for you to finish your magic trick when... something hit me in the flank!"
- "What do you mean 'something' hit you in the flank?! I think it's be easy to identify something that-"
- >You turn to her flank to identify what hit her-
- >And end up staring at the trees behind Starlight
- >"Uhhhh, Trixie, I can't believe I'm saying this, but my flank is down here."
- "I know that!"
- >You turn your head back down towards her flank and-
- >Damnit now you're staring at her face again!
- >You keep trying to look at her flank, but your attention keeps being deflected away, like whatever's there is a magnet with the same polarity as your face!
- >Ahh, it's probably not that important
- >No wait, yes it is!
- >But come on, Starlight's wound is more important
- >WHICH WAS CAUSED BY SOMETHING HITTING IT, WHICH I-
- "GFFUCK!"
- >Your head begins to hurt
- >What the Tartarus?!
- >Every time you try to focus on the thing on Starlight's flank, your attention turns away from it
- >Why? It's not like it's important-
- >-YES IT IS, CELESTIA DAMNIT
- "GRRR!"
- >Again with the pain!
- >"Trixie..."
- >You look to her face to find here eyes closing and her breathing becoming labored
- >OOOOHH SHIT!
- >You can't loser her!
- >Not now!
- >NOT NOW!
- "STAY WITH TRIXIE STARLIGHT! YOU'LL BE FINE, TRIXIE JUST NEEDS YOU TO KEEP TALKING!"
- >"Wha-... what hit me?"
- "DON'T THINK ABOUT IT!"
- >Alright Trixie
- >Your (only) friend is currently bleeding out thanks to being struck with-
- "GYAAH!"
- >You hold your head in your hooves as a jolt of pure unadulterated pain shoots through it
- >Fuck, Trixie can't think about it either!
- >Trixie will just have to pull it out without looking or thinking about it!
- >But Trixie needs to understand its location in space in order to pull it out!
- >HERE WE GOOOOOOOOO!
- >HAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!
- >You grip whatever is embedded in Starlight's flank, causing a whine to come from your throat and tears to flow from your eyes from the sheer mental pain
- >After a bit of struggling, you finally get it out and throw it to the ground
- "Thank Celestia!"
- >You're just glad that's over with!
- >Now you can finally treat her-
- >"Trixie... Something's wrong."
- >Oh what now?
- >Starlight points her hoof behind you while her eyes are rolling up into her skull
- >You do a 180 to look behind you-
- >But you can't see whatever's there, as your head keeps turning like mad to avoid looking that way
- >Oh Wooden Bit
- >You sly minx
- >Not only do you get to take out some snooty rich types
- >But you got yourself a sweet ability
- >What did that hooded creep call it?
- >A Stand?
- >Whatever
- >You preferred the name 「IT'S A JOB」
- >This golden pony thing comes out, the kind that looks like it belongs on a trophy or a fancy cart
- >And whatever it touches can't be looked at by nopony
- >Anytime anypony (but you of course) tries to look at or so much as think about whatever it touched will be deflected
- >Whether it be turning their head just a little too far, leaving it alone as a stray thought enters their head, or physical pain, for those who don't get the message
- >No one will be noticing what it touches
- >By force if necessary
- >You take a few more knives from your pouch and grab them with It's A Job
- >To think, yesterday you were but a poor miser, begging for chump change
- >Now you're gonna be one of the rich ones!
- >Thanks creepy hood guy!
- >Everything is coming up Wooden Bit!
- >You fling the knives with your Stand at the two bimbos
- >"GET IN THE BOX!"
- >The blue one grabs her pink friend and teleports into the box that she brought out from her trailer, the knives missing by a hair
- >Dagnabit!
- >How could she-
- >Oh
- >No shit
- >She figured out your ability
- >So when she couldn't look in your direction she took notice
- >Looks like you'll have to take care of this yourself
- >Another knife enters your mouth as you walk towards the box, now covered in knives
- >You open the box to find-
- >The pink one alone?
- >"Watch closely now" she manages to get out between breaths
- >The hell is she-
- >*SMACK!*
- "You wouldn't want to miss this."
- >The brown earth pony with the white mane and bit cutie mark falls unconscious
- >Well, that's over with
- >Now then, what's been averting our attention this who-
- >KNIVES
- >Starlight was hit with a KNIFE!
- >And your magic disappearing box in now filled with knives in its side!
- >Oh dear
- >Oh that's not good
- >You throw her over your shoulder onto your back and tie up the earth pony with some rope, bringing them both into your trailer
- >This mare had some explaining to do
