  1. The thing goes as follows: I will post a hint to a flash, then you have to guess which it is, and post it here. If your guess is correct I will tell you so, and you will be allowed to present a new request for others to fullfill. This will start a cycle that will end when the last correct post disappears from the board with no correct answers to it, making the OP of that thread winner of the game (as long as he posts the flash he was asking for).
  2.
  3. Rules:
  4. 1.THERE ARE NO RULES
  5. 2.If I find a request to be pure distilled bullshit that nobody could have guessed, I'll come in and disclaim the supposed winners victory after he confirms it by posting the flash he wanted (if the request is bullshit but someone still manages to deliver I will let it pass).
  6. This includes, but is not limited to:
  7. -The flash has never been uploaded to the web (this counts even if the flash is only a conversion of something that
  8. already exists, shuch as a youtube video, webm, gif etc.).
  9. -The flash is the animated homepage of noteventheownerremembersthiswebsite.com Circa 2001.
  10. -The given hint could in no (logical) way be related to the wanted flash.
  11. -The requester has unreasonably high standards at the time of accepting delivery (this is here to make clear that a
  12. correct flash with an incorrect filename must be accepted).
  13. 3.If the winning OP doesn't claim his victory some half a day after his post 404's out of the board (or if he has been disqualified following the previous rule), the last responding anons upload will be considered correct and he will be allowed to give a hint to continue the game.
  14. 4.Only I, !eYL1l0V7fc, have the right to change and/or interpret (and to apply in the case of the second) these rules and the text preceding them in any way whatsoever.
  15.
  16. Guidelines*:
  17. -Try not to have more than 5 or 6 responding posts up at any time so as to not flood /f/.
  18. -Try to give a little variety to hints (it can be about the filesize, filename, music, content, controls...), requested
  19. flashes and responding flashes. That way even if /f/ ends up flooded with posts related to this, not every one of them will
  20. be an almost exact copy of the one to come before.
  21. -If the flash you have chosen isn't a well known one have some sort of proof (Ideally a swfchan page, but a link to any
  22. other website in which it's hosted is fine too) to demonstrate that you didn't just make it 5 minutes before uploading.
  23. -Post with a tripcode or some other identifying device when responding to requests and posting hints (/f/ is slow and
  24. civiliced enough that this is proably not needed, so don't pay much attention to it).
  25. -Show in some manner (preferably the subject field) that your threads are related to the contest, that will make the
  26. requesters work easier.
  27. -When acting as requester responding to every mistaken response is not necessary but try to make a "none of the flashes
  28. posted is the one I asked for" post every few hours to let people know that you're still around.
  29. -At first I thought of penalizing repeating requests, but if this gets as long as I think it will, keeping a record of every
  30. request would be a pain the ass, so try to avoid them but don't be too harsh on them if they happen.
  31. -This is a flash guessing game, so try and request material that came to be in swf format, not the bastard progeny of a
  32. youtube video and an online mp4 to flv converting tool.
  33. -The winning flash will probably be something that is way too obscure for most people to guess however not enough for me to
  34. disqualify; so instead of trying to win, play to have fun, put your extensive and otherwise pointless swf knowledge to use,
  35. make other people mad or whatever you fancy.
  36. -Repost these posts every once in a while to let people join in on the fun. Alternatively just link them here.
  37. *(you can ignore these but I think we'll have a better time if you don't)
  38.
  39. Extra info/clarifications:
  40. Rule 1 means that anything not delimited by the first paragraph and the other three rules is valid, that includes giving extra hints, extorting OP to get the answer, trying to impersonate me to change the rules (good luck cracking the tripcode) and any other thing you can think of. If I consider your bullshit amusing enough I may even let you disregard the few regulations that are in place (don't count on it though).
  41. Rule 2 is completely subjective and I reserve the right to apply it whenever I feel like it; that being said I will try to use it as little as possible (ideally never).
  42. If everything goes according to keikaku I will post only twice more, once to give the first hint and another once to point the correct response out. I may, or may not come back to declare the champion depending on the ambiguousness of the situation. Besides that I will play the game as an anon and only intervene to apply rule number 2, any other conflict that arises I will let Anonymous resolve.
  43.
  44. Have fun.
  45.
  46. tl;dr flash guessing game with just enough rules to avoid people bullshitting their way to victory
