Infiltration Round 8: A City of Fear
~11:30 AM~
"It's going to be a looong day.." thought Shadow, as his escort drove him towards the meeting. All of the brenodi officers were required to meet once a week at HQ. It was the same time every week, which was stupid in his own opinion. 20 High-Ranking officers having a predictable pattern..? "Whatever...nothing's ever gone wrong for the past year...we've even reported a rise in the number of new recruits," were his comforting thoughts.
"The package is ready, correct?" radioed  a masked voice.
"Yes. The brenodis won't know what hit them."
"Good. And the five spies?"
"Anxious. We've been on the base for awhile now, you know. We thirst for revenge.."
"Your time will come soon. How much longer until you can deploy the vehicle?"
"At noon, sir."
"Then go now. May whatever Gods there are be with you as you raise our beloved Jekotia above all as you give your life."
"Yes sir."

With that, the first of the Jekotian spies loaded the bomb into the card, and entered the vehicle. Cruising down the road, found the intersection, and camped around the corner, gritting his teeth.
~11:55 AM~
--Brenodi HQ--
"Sir, we've just decoded a Jekotian transmission. It seems they have some sort of suicide mission, with a car bomb."
"And the meeting is today...they're going to intercept one of our officers! Quick, get word out and tell them to return to base!"

Alphabetically radioing each officer, the broadcaster signaled each officer. Reaching Rehnquist, the broadcaster glanced at the clock, [b]noon.[/b]
Sucking in his breath, the first of the Jekotian spies floored the accelerator, and activated the 5-second timer.
"Shadow187, this is HQ. We are aborting the meeting out of safety for our officers. Return to your stati-crshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......crshht....crshht..."
"Sir, the've got Shadow...he's dead.."
"There's nothing we can do...what else did you find out of that transmission?"
"Oh, right...it appears that they have five spies stationed at Shadow's base. What should we do?"
"I do not want any of my men no the streets. For now, inform them of their situation. Remind them to be extremely careful."
"HQ to base 54AD, do you read?"
"Affirmative HQ, this is base 54AD."
"Your officer, Shadow, is dead, due to a carbomb from the Jekotians. We can not afford to lose any men here; we dare not step out of our front doors. But we've decoded an ominous transmission. It appears there are four Jekotian spies in your camp. Take caution at night, and never travel alone."
"Affirmative HQ. Can we expect any help?"
"We will send a Riflemen ASAP. Until then, it may be best to utilize your soldier's abilities. HQ out."

~Brenodi Base 54AD~

"Trickster, what did HQ say?" inquired Hygrom.
"Our commander, Shadow, is dead. Jekotian spies were on a suicide car-bomb mission, and they got him."
"What!?" interrupted Brutos, "How could they have done something?! We've been safe for the past year!"
"I don't know, but they have no-"
"Did HQ relay anything else?" asked Recon.
"Actually, yes. HQ will send reinforcements in two days, but there's something else..." Trickster paused to take a deep breath, "There are four Jekotian spies inside the base...and the worst of all, it could be any one of us. He could be in this very room! He could be you! He could be me! He could even b-"
Boom. Recon swiftly and smoothly decapitated Trickster with a single shot.
"What? It was obvious! He's the Jekotian spy."
"Recon...I heavily doubt Trickster was the spy," sighed an exasperated Aeoneth. "The best thing we can do now is to just be on our guard. Sit back, watch eachother's backs, and stay safe."
"Agreed," piped up Scardybob, "Inform every man on this base of our situation. When the reinforcements come we can expect for there to be many deaths among us."
Standing, Cloud nervously asked, "For our protection...we should each carry a pistol...we do not need to die due to lack of self-protection..."
With the other members in agreeance, every man was handed a pistol. Every man except cloud.
"Wait, come on guys! Why not me?"
"We gave Foxy two. You are not to be trusted with anything more than a cigarette lighter."
"Fine..." said Cloud, as he walked off.
"But what else can we do now? Sit back and let the Jekotians kill us off one by one?" asked Aeoneth.
"Do not forget," reminded Brutos, "We have men of talent on our base too."
"Alright Brutos, but isn't there something that unskilled base crew can do as well?"
"Perhaps. Based on the evidence we see, shall vote to kill off one person a day. Are you all in agreement?"
"Aye."
"Yes."
"Affirmative."
"Yep."
"Then it's settled. We shall begin the voting tomorrow, as we have no evidence today. Men, sleep with hope in your heart, a pistol in your hand, and a knife in your pillow."
And with that, night fell.

Scout: Blizzerd, "Watching from the ventilation shafts, all the scout could see was the few expertly placed bullets in Blizzerd's head being shot."
Blizzerd suddenly awoke, panting. He'd had a nightmare....he saw the whole base in ruins..and a single man standing, raising the Jekotian flag...
Shaking off his fears,  he ran to get a glass of water. Looking up into the mirror, Blizzerd's heart skipped a beat.
"You sly little faggot.." he whispered, as his assassin landed a few rounds into his head.
Having also been up, Grantrithor burst into the room to see the cunning killer. He rushed in and tackled him, going all out with the intent of beating him to death. Suddenly from behind.. *Boom*.
"Well well...looks like I might let you live after all," the first infiltrator said.
The scout, only able to see Blizzerd, withdrew from the ventilation shaft, to record what he saw.

~~Guard Towers, Other Side of Base~~
"So you're sure this will work?"
"Positive."
"For the love of God do NOT pull it early.."
"I won't. I still think it's odd we have the same feeling...and...I'm sorry.."
"That's alright...I didn't join this military force without knowing I was gonna die some day,"
Were the parting words between Complete_ and his trusted friend..
As Complete_ resumed his position, the master of explosives went to hide on top of the nearby tree. Whistling innocently for a few minutes, Complete suddenly realized that there was someone behind him.
"Are you really going to kill me, Vulkanis?"
"How did you know it was me!?"
"Too obvious. Anyone can hear the footsteps of a rookie spy. I'll see you in hell...NOW!"
"With that word, the grenadier pulled the trigger, annhilating the rigged watch tower. Vulkanis blew sky-high, as did complete_"

Recon surveyed the camp from the second floor of the nearby apartment. It was empty, and the emptiness of the empty camp gave him an empty feeling inside, like he's missing something. These were nothing but empty thoughts, as Recon himself could do nothing to finish the war and rid himself of his responsibilities.
"Maybe dieing isn't so bad..." he spoke outloud to himself.
"Why don't you find out?" came a voice.
"Who's the-" and Recon was cut off as the Jekotian spy shot him multiple times in the head."
~~Research Facility~~
"What's the status report?" demanded the Engineer.
"Devoid of anything useful," replied the Riflemen.
"Empty? There has to be something! Informationless results means empty progress!"
"If you really want to see something interesting, check out the barrel on my new rifle. HQ certified these babies for professionals only."
As the engineer moved closer, the Riflemen quickly pulled the trigger, killing the Engineer. Knowing what he had done could get him killed, the empty-hearted Riflemen quicky left."

"Can he be helped, doctor?" inquired Cloud
"Of course."
"Thank God...we need our engineer."
"He'll be fine in 2 hours. Why don't you go see if Brutos needs help with some cameras?"
"Yes, sir."

"I told you that they'd found us."
"Yeah well, at least you can't blame it on me this time," said cloud with a smirk.
"True. Though..."
"What're you thinking, Foxy?"
Foxy pulled out the two pistols given to him.
"I am not going to die by anyone but myself. Afterall, I AM Foxy."
"What? I'm not going to sit here and wat-"
"Shut up, CannonFodder," said Foxy as he shot Cloud in the head.
"Finally," sighed Foxy, "Some peace and quiet," as Foxy pulled the trigger to his own head.
