Vermont: 1st In Nation to Force People to Donate Organs!

"Presumed Consent" is NOT "Informed Consent"!
Bill as introduced, H. 57  It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont: Sec. 1. 18 V.S.A. chapter 110A is added to read: CHAPTER 110A. ANATOMICAL GIFTS  § 5232. PRESUMED CONSENT All Vermont residents 18 years of age or older  shall be presumed to consent  to making an anatomical gift of some or all of their organs,
eyes, tissues, or a combination thereof upon their death for the purpose of transplantation,  therapy, research, or education.

§ 5231. DEFINITIONS
As used in this chapter:

(8) “Refusal” means a record created under section 5234
of this title that  expressly states an intent to bar other
 persons from making an anatomical gift of an individual’s
 body parts.

 How many Vermonters will be given an
opportunity to create such a record of refusal and how much
will it cost them to do so?  If it costs so much as one dollar,
then this is extortion.

"Presumed consent" means that you
might not know they are harvesting your organs
because you did not give "informed consent";
and you are not being paid, but the State will
sell your organs.  This is unconscionable.

For people of some religions, this is a religious crisis,
for example, for the State of Vermont  to
harvest your organs without your informed consent and
then to  sell your personal sexual organs to
someone who is having a sex change.
This is a violation of the separation of Church & State
guaranteed in the United States Constitution.

I hope people of religious faiths who are horrified
by this bill, will stand up and scream "like holy hell!"
