- -abilities: stats
- -skills based off of stats - training represents ranks in a skill, adding roll bonuses
- -advantages: USUALLY no rank, shows things they have access to like abilities and belongings and shit
- -powers: the main meat of it, this is what you really care about - have effects with modifiers as well as ranks
- -complications: drawbacks
- -measurements: number crunching to figure out stuff, boring but needed sometimes, see p12 (marked as 11) for charts and shit
- -check rolls are d20+stat bonus vs DC - DC chart on p14 (15)
- -nat 20 is a crit: increases degree of success
- -routine check is under boring circumstances, counts as a 10 for DC purposes - bonuses can increase the routine check's roll, eg. +10 bonus makes routine checks a 20
- -opposed check: rolls vs PCs basically
- -routine opposition: not a roll, but DC for a check is calculated with modifiers from the target
- -degrees of success/failure determined by how much over/under the DC the roll turned out
- -circumstances can make bonuses or penalties depending on
