M3 Medium Tank Lee

With the start of the Second World War, the US began a project to design a tank to use in combat. As they did not have the capabilities to manufacture a large turret, a 75mm gun was installed in the hull, while a 37mm gun with its own smaller turret was placed on the top. Most M3 Medium Tanks were exported to other countries, such as the UK. The tanks with UK modifications were designated Grant and the ones that retained their original American designs were designated Lee.
