To get a list of the hard drives you have on your system, in grub:
chainloader (hd, <tab>

You will then be greeted by a list of hard disks. Here is how you can find what partitions are on your primary hard disk:
chainloader (hd<disk>, <tab>
Using the disk number for your primary hard disk. Please look for partitions marked with 'ntfs' so you can find your Windows 7/8 partition. There might be two of them, but try both:
chainloader (hd<disk>,<partition>)+1
