REPLY - It’s not so much that the child will hold resentment towards the parent for giving birth to them, but rather the fact that being human and suffering go hand in hand. We humans spend all our lives with unfulfilled desires and the occasional pleasures in life aren’t enough to rid us of the elongated states of negativity.

Look at the human life from an objective point of view…
When starting a life you start another form of suffering, a form of suffering that could have been prevented entirely. Yes, lives contain both the good and the bad and you may say its up to us to find the goods, but like I mentioned before, pleasure and pain is asymmetrical. What I mean by this is that you could have your eye gouged out by some hobo with a spoon and have that affect you for the rest of your life, but there is no pleasurable counterpart. There is nothing that can magically better your current sight. The pains in life are ALWAYS worse than the pleasures. Lets say theres a room, and in that room for 24 hours you experience the most pleasurable experiences known to mankind, BUT after those 24 hours you must undergo 24 hours of the most painful experiences known to mankind. Do you go in that room? NOPE, FUCK THAT SHIT!

STATEMENT - “LIKE WTF. IF THAT IS WHAT YOU BELIEVE THEN GO AHEAD IM NOT ONE TO CHANGE YOUR OPINION BUT HOLY GOD IM SORRY”

REPLY - m8, if I want to have a discussion with someone my goal isn’t to change their opinion or to even have mine changed, but rather to increase the knowledge of both parties involved by sharing information. Having discussions also lets you know how the other person thinks which can be useful too, I guess :^).

NOW THATS SELFISH. THAT YOUR USING THE MOTHERS AS A REASON FOR THIS. IT IS NO ONES FAULT. LIKE OMG.”

REPLY - what you just said is the equivalent of saying “some people are supposed to suffer, thats just the way things are and its perfectly fine that life is like this. the person who caused this suffering isn’t to blame here.” you’re right though, it isn’t their mother’s fault and it is nobody’s on earth’s fault. it’s nobody’s fault that human life was created in the first place, I guess you could blame luck or in this case, misfortune teehee.

REPLY - I guess, but I mean maternal instincts can still kick in with or without biological ties...

STATEMENT - “YOU MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND BUT WHEN A WOMAN and men but mostly women HAVE A CONNECTION TO THEIR BIRTH CHILD. And no i dont mean it in the dumb way i mEAN THEY HAVE A LEGIT CONNECTION TO THEIR CHILDREN AND ITS VERY HARD TO BRING ANOTER CHILD INTO YOUR HOME WITHOUT THIS CONNECTION.”

no but in all seriousness, I guess what you’re talking about is a hormonal thing or whatever, right? That may be true, but at the same time when I said that the act of creating life is inherently narcissistic I meant that the parents do it out of their own desires. they enforce their beliefs and desires onto someone who never had a say to whether they wanted those things in the first place.

STATEMENT - “Some people dont get these connections and get rid of their children. Others are forced to be it school or family obligations or whatever. But there are many cases where women accidentally get pregnant dont want to have an abortion so they have the child and plan do put it up for adoption but after they see the child they cant bring themselves to do it. I forgot the name of it but its a legit thing.”

REPLY - yea, I know what you’re talking about, but accidental pregnancies are accidental. accidents can be prevented and I think the proper countermeasures should be taken beforehand especially when bringing unwanted suffering aka human life is involved.
