  2. @eduffield:On Testnet what's the percentage of "yes" votes a proposal has to have to get paid?
  3.
  4. eduffield [7:41 PM]
  5. 5%
  6.
  7. eduffield [7:41 PM]
  8. well, 5% and 0 nos
  9.
  10. moli [7:42 PM]
  11. The number of masternodes has been fluctuating, how do we determine this?
  12.
  13. eduffield [7:42 PM]
  14. it's done in real time
  15.
  16. moli [7:42 PM]
  17. you mean at the moment of the voting?
  18.
  19. eduffield [7:42 PM]
  20. the goal will be just to get as many yes votes as possible
  21.
  22. eduffield [7:43 PM]
  23. Oh, so there's a finalization stage
  24.
  25. eduffield [7:43 PM]
  26. it happens 2 days before the budget is paid
  27.
  28. eduffield [7:43 PM]
  29. the list is put it order, then finalized, then all of the nodes vote that they see the same winners
  30.
  31. eduffield [7:43 PM]
  32. not sure if that's what you were asking
  33.
  34. moli [7:44 PM]
  35. yes that's what i'm asking
  36.
  37. eduffield [7:44 PM]
  38. So the list is ordered by yes votes, then the total budget is added up, then finalized, then paid
  39.
  40. eduffield [7:45 PM]
  41. and you need a min of 5% to even qualify
  42.
  43. eduffield [7:45 PM]
  44. if everyone else has 80% yes votes, you'll need 81% to qualify
  45.
  46. eduffield [7:45 PM]
  47. then you'll kick out one of the 80's
  48.
  49. moli [8:01 PM]
  50. cool, thank you. Another question: so right now every month we have about ~8000+ dash to pay for this budget.. what if during the first month we've voted for all proposals and they use up all these dash.. and the payments take, say 6 months for all projects to be paid up. Then comes 2nd month there is a good proposal... but we can't vote for it because all dash are held to pay for the other proposals?
  51.
  52. eduffield [8:02 PM]
  53. No, those original projects can lose their seat at any time. If the masternodes change their votes to no or even another proposal gets more yes votes, someone will get kicked. It's just something people will have to be aware of. (edited)
  54.
  55. eduffield [8:03 PM]
  56. It's what makes the system so flexible, if a project heads south the 3rd month, we can vote it out to save money on the 4,5, and 6th payment.
  57.
  58. eduffield [8:04 PM]
  59. and replace it with something else that works better. The idea is that there will be significant wisdom in the "crowd" that we'll make the right choices most of the time and the money will be allocated as it's needed.
  60.
  61. moli [8:05 PM]
  62. oh.. i see...
  63.
  64. eduffield [8:08 PM]
  65. Also, we have the command "mnbudget projection" which shows who would get paid if the budget was finalized right now. That will be useful for seeing if we need to lobby to get a proposal back in the budget
  66.
  67. eduffield [8:08 PM]
  68. There will be a website we can goto that shows all of this as it happens every month. It should be pretty neat
  69.
  70. moli [8:41 PM]
  71. cool. Thanks, @eduffield, for all this explanation and info.
  72. moli [8:57 PM]
  73. @eduffield: what's the maximum of tDASH to pay out on testnet right now? I have a proposal "Rpi_4_flare", it got most votes and started getting paid, the total payment counts is supposed to be 5 payments but it got only 3 payments and now it got kicked out i guess so it's not getting paid anymore. "moo-feed" just got voted with "MonthlyPayment" : 2500.000000, so I'm wondering what's the max payout every 50 blocks right now? (edited)
  74.
  75. eduffield [9:01 PM]
  76. @moli: there's really no limit, with the masternode system in place w/ payments every 50 blocks it's actually way,way higher than it was
  77.
  78. eduffield [9:01 PM]
  79. We'll probably restart testnet every few months anyway to keep it fast anyway, so it doesn't matter
