Subject: Urgent findings about unclassified pathogen codename X7Z03

Good day

Attempts to isolate the pathogen have failed. These are the results of our recent studies on volunteer subjects.
All subjects' cognition, aggression and reflexes were baseline at the start of the test.

Subject 001 was euthanized using high levels of morphine while being monitored by EEG, ECG and MRI.
The scans clearly show cessation of higher brain functions correlated with morphone overdose, followed by
termination of respiration and heart function - Time of death (TOD).
At TOD+10, the prefrontal lobes then rapidly decompose.
TOD+15, the heart starts again, followed by breathing at TOD+18. At TOD+30 subject wakes and destroys measuring equipment.
All attempts to subdue the subject (tasers, sleep darts) non-lethally have failed.
Subject was terminated at TOD+43 with a shot to the head.

Subject 002 was heavily restrained prior to morphine administration. At TOD+90 it was administered
intravenous anesthesia, to no visible effect. At TOD+102, subject severed the intravenous delivery system, preventing
further experimentation in this direction. A blood sample was obtained. Lab technician Robert Doyle had been placed
in quarantine and is being treated for major lacerations on right forearm. The blood sample obtained show no traces of
anesthesia.
Further study is being performed on Subjects 003 and 004, expect results in a few hours.

Meanwhile I strongly recommend AGAINST using conducted electrical weapons or tranquilizer weapons in response to
aggressive subjects. EXTREME CAUTION is advised.

The outbreak site has been contained. All hostile subjects had to be terminated. We've established
a perimeter 20 kilometers around ground zero. Major Swanson is conducting a preventive sweep of
the surrounding forest and farmlands.

Due to the seriousness of situation, I have to recommend enforcing martial law.

Subject: X7Z03 - IMPORTANT

Both post-mortem X7Z03 subjects show signs of heightened aggression, loss of inhibition,  higher brain functions,
accelerated healing, resistance to anesthesia. Cutting off the oxygen supply induces a state not unlike hibernation.

Severed appendages seem to be regrown (!!!) at approximate rate of 3mm per hour.

There's no indication that X7Z03 causes any symptoms in humans post-exposure - before actual clinical death.
No animals exposed to X7Z03 and then killed exhibit symptoms.

We couldn't find any difference between exposed and non-exposed humans.

Whatever this is, it somehow only affects dead people.

Tests performed on subjects 003 and 004 have been negative. We have no idea what this is.
All our tests indicate that it doesn't affect living humans at all. And as soon as someone die, it takes over
their body. Call me crazy for saying this, I don't care - these are ZOMBIES. Fucking real zombies.

One of our Marines sippped and fell on his head. He turned into one of these... things. His squad managed to
hold him down until reinforcements arrived. It's currently detained in our holding cell.

All active test subjects have returned to perfect health. All of them are somehow transmitting
radio signals across multiple frequencies. (Credit for this discovery goes to our local IT staff.)
Subject 001 is still dead.

I believe that moving our tests subjects would be a bad idea.
Therefore I'd like to ask you to suggest any specialists, not limited to these fields:
EM engineering, physics, bio-informatics, nano- and molecular- engineering.

If it's not obvious enough - I have a strong belief that whatever this is, it has been created.
Nano-bots or something. It simply doesn't make sense any other way.

I'm going to have a nap - I have been awake for 30 hours straight.

Dear Mrs. President, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and whomever it may concern,

In case you don't know, I've been tasked to oversee and command the "zombie" situation at CDC.
As your subordinates surely informed you, the issue has been contained without any casualties.
Everyone exhibiting symptoms of X7Z03 has been safely isolated in induced hibernation.

We have succeeded in isolating the cause of all of this. Me and my team believe this is all caused
by microscopical machines programmed to HEAL HUMANS. Who or what created and programmed them,
we have no idea. A runaway Russian goverment project? Aliens? There's no way to know. There's one
thing we're sure of, though.

This could change everything. These nano-scale robots were programmed to repair one's body to full health
after detecting a fatal condition. And it would've worked - it will work - once we fix the bugs.

This is BIG. This means Immortality, plain and simple.

We have strong evidence that this is true - the machines really exist. See attachments:

Please don't jump into conclusions - this is going to be a long journey.
We know almost nothing about how to reprogram the machines, or even how they work. It's going to
take a lot of money, and a lot of time.
