  1. Thoughts on MLP: FIM Season 4 episode 7:
  2.
  3. Screw the stupid intro.
  4.
  5. The episode starts with AJ starting Applebucking season, and as soon as she kicks a tree, the apples fall out with their juices sucked out. She then screams at the bats that fly away.
  6.
  7. She explains the situation to her friends, saying that the only option is to eliminate the vampire bats. Fluttershy interrupts, saying that the bats would help the apples grow bigger and stronger, despite the fact that she said that she has no knowledge of these types of bats. There is a song, and everyone but Fluttershy(rationally) agrees to eliminate the bats.
  8.
  9. The group rounds up the bats, putting them in one area. Fluttershy uses the stare to stun them, and Twilight zaps the bats, making them lose their desire to eat apples.
  10.
  11. The next day, Applejack comes to her farm, and the apples are still being eaten. She gets the others and they go check on the bats, who refuse to eat the apples. As they go deeper into the orchard to figure out this mystery, Fluttershy drools at the sight of an apple.
  12.
  13. As the episode progresses, Fluttershy has a harder time resisting the apples, and everyone continues to search for them. It gets to the point where her fangs are visible, and she flies off, transforming into something that has an ear that looks like a vagina.
  14.
  15. The next part features each pony stupidly being alone, with Fluttershy terrorizing them. Rainbow Dash attacks a scarecrow, Rarity runs away, etc.
  16.
  17. When Twilight finds Fluttershy, she is a full-blown vampire batpony. The vampony flies around, eating the various apples around. It is revealed that Twilight's spell ended up putting the bats' desire to eat apples into Fluttershy.
  18.
  19. In an attempt to subdue her, the other five sacrifice AJ's giant apple, using its scent to attract her. It works, and they use mirrors to show Fluttershy how horrific she looks. During this, Twilight zaps her, turning her back to normal.
  20.
  21. Thankfully, there were no plot holes, but instead, Fluttershy was written rather...odd.
  22.
  23. She sides with the bats(whom she's only talked with once) over her friends, and claims that they will help her in the long term, but has no proof of this, especially since she didn't know about this species of bats.
  24.
  25. Also, this episode just...switches.
  26.
  27. The original conflict is the bats being an issue, but that is solved halfway through, and is replaced with Fluttershy being a vampire.
  28.
  29. Another issue was that after they turn Fluttershy normal, it immediately cuts to a scene where the bats win, getting a part of the orchard as their own.
  30.
  31. The problem is that the characters don't talk about/prove that this is a better option over getting rid of the bats. The only proof is a potentially false claim by a pony that prefers animals over her best friends.
  32.
  33. The song was ok, but forgettable in my opinion.
  34.
  35. People say this episode was amazing, but I was just apathetic the whole time through. Maybe the magic's going away from me, but I'm not sure.
  36.
  37. Overall, a 6/7 out of 10.
