Fallout New Pegas 3

 <Kali> LAST TIME: As we last saw our little caravan group, they had started making their way to New Pegas, however their first trek through the ponave was cut short after an unexpected delay due to the efforts of a Bandit group. After a short battle, taking care of the bandits, the caravan discover the bandit's hideout where a Mare (Sunny Days) and her foal (Sundrop) were being held captive. Along with the Mare and Foal, a newcomer to the group has joined their little caravan, an Earth Pony by the name of Last Words.
[14:30:46] <Kali> joined their little caravan, an Earth Pony by the name of Last Words. After finishing their business, the now somewhat larger caravan group has continued on their way.
[14:34:35] <Kali> GM: It's currently dark, the group has decided to set camp. The Mare and Foal have been placed in their own tent, sleeping soundly, and our caravan group is currently sleeping outside with Last Words, Sharp Shot, Buck Shot currently keeping watch on the outskirts of the camp.
[14:40:17] <Xelan> GM: All of the group have been sleeping for almost an hour before a dream begins, they all slowly have their dreams mix and swirl. The group slwoly awake inside of a dark forest, the moon high above as a strange red mist fills their vision. [14:42:24] Jackal looked around. Normally he doesn't sleep, but he felt his eyes slowly close in slumber. The next time he opened them, he found himself in a odd place.
[14:42:43] <Jackal> [Six Perception to look around]
[14:44:05] Xelan [[email protected]] has quit (Connection closed).
[14:44:26] Aura [[email protected]] joined the channel.
[14:45:08] Aura is now known as Xelan.
[14:47:41] <Tabasquette> (So, is this a dream then?)
[14:47:42] Kickstart looks around, noticing how surreal the red mist is, and recalling no trees near their caravan when they set up camp. "Something ain't right here. We should all be careful." (PER success)
[14:49:26] Jackal closed his eyes and snifffed air. Something was off about this place, although he couldn't place his hoof on it. (PER Fail)
[14:49:56] Tabasquette must've fallen asleep after lightening up her metal armor and trying it on, strange, she didn't remember it being that comfy. (Also perception fail)
[14:51:21] Xelan looked around as she slowly stood up and looked around, she knew about going to sleep and wondered how she had woken up in this strange place. Seemed that she had no clue what were around her (PER fail)
[14:56:15] Xelan [[email protected]] has quit (Connection closed).
[14:56:36] Xelan [[email protected]] joined the channel.
[15:21:42] Tabasquette stretches out a bit, wondering idly why she only had her grenade rifle. Oh well, she still had her nice new shiny armor at least.
[15:26:53] Xelan looked around as she noticed Tabasquette stretching, she felt an unfamiliar weight in her gauntlet and shrugged it off as she walks over to the pegasus "That armour looks weel."
[15:27:45] <Tabasquette> "Yeah, I was staying up fashioning it to fit!"
[15:28:40] <Xelan> "I've done that with swords to make them fit my gauntlet. I always get yelled at for staying up past my imaginary bedtime."
[15:29:12] Kickstart feels a light weight in otherwise mostly-empty saddlebags. Opening it up he finds a maintenance kit, some health potions, and a glowing set of brass hooves that light up the area. "Fascinating. I've never used such crude weapons before, but they're obviously special..."
[15:30:32] Jackal thought to himself. 'This was weird beyond belief. Everyone was using weapons that they never seen before. And yet, everyone is acting as if it's normal.'
[15:31:12] Jackal glanced up and looked at everyone. An idea was forming in his head. "Anyone got a blade?"
[15:33:02] Xelan stood up and her sword flung out from her gauntlet "Need a shave?" The sword seemed razor sharp, the edge finely tuned to cut through msot things, or even stab at things.
[15:33:42] Kali looked at her own saddlebags. Inside she found a pair of brass shoes, 20 bandages and 3 health potions.
[15:33:46] <Jackal> "Something like that." He muttered, extending a hoof out. "Mind if I take a look at it?" He asked, somewhat politely.
[15:34:36] Xelan raised a brow at him "You mena by look I assume it shoved in your throat. No one touches my blade or gauntlet except for me."
[15:34:47] Kali places the brass shoes over her hooves and takes some practice jabs. "These will have to do for now."
[15:35:34] Tabasquette hefts up her grenade rifle with a dextrous wing. "Well, wherever we are, I'm glad I remembered to bring my favorite weapon."
[15:36:32] <Jackal> "Fair enough." The Jackal strode confidently towards her, grabbed her arm, suprising her, and manouverd the blade as to give himself a shallow cut on his arm. He quickly retreated to a short distance and started to examine the cut.
[15:36:42] Kali looks at Xelan bringing the sword up to Jackal's throat. "Xelan," she starts in her unapproving tone. "Behave yourself."
[15:37:14] Kickstart shakes his head at the exchange. "So guys, what shall we do? We could always explore and head through this ominous forest. I don't think standing around will accomplish much..."
[15:37:34] Xelan let out an eep as she was grabbed and smacked Jackal upside the head for it "Stupid idiot, what did you do that for?"
[15:38:14] Jackal stared at the blood dripping down from his arm. "Hmm. Curiouser and curiouser..."
[15:38:56] Jackal didn't seem to take notice of the zebra mare as he looked up at the group. "I don't know where we are. I've never seen this place before."
[15:42:27] <Jackal> "But wherever we are." He raised his arm, where the blood had slowly stopped flowing. "It's hardly an illusion."
[15:42:52] <Xelan> GW: Jackal found that the cut was a normal one, nothing strange about it. THough he did feel it and began to bleed, losing blood due to idiocy of self harm. Then he looked up and noticed the red mist wasn't above a river a few feet away from them, tehre were ripples running across it as dead leaves fell from the trees and landed upon the water. The water was black with teh reflection of the moon through the mist.
[15:47:23] Jackal noticed an odd mist. Red? Mists weren't supposed be that color. His heart skipped a beat. Pink Cloud? Here? In the middle of nowhere? Only one way to find out.
[15:48:31] Buck_Shot [[email protected]] has quit (Ping timeout: 121 seconds).
[15:48:35] Jackal slowly walked towards it, picked up a leaf and scrunched it up, throwing it at the mist. He gave a sigh of relief when it didn't degrade like it sohuld. Wait. Trees? Leaves?! How the hell did he know what those things were?
[15:50:03] Tabasquette walks up next to Jackal and raises an eyebrow. "So...what is this misty stuff?"
[15:51:14] Jackal glanced at her and turned back to stare at the mist. "I don't know. There's no real reason why mist should be red. But look around. Leaves. The only leaves I've ever seen were in books and paintings."
[15:51:32] Xelan sniffs the air as a part of red msit goes up her nose. An evil thought pops itno her head as she falls to her knees as she clutched at throat, making strangled like noises as she fell to her face.
[15:52:14] Kali notices a rippling in the dark waters, curious she decides to take a closer look. She trots close to the river. "Hmm?" she mutters as she stares intently at the water below her, somewhat seeing her own reflection.
[15:52:15] Kickstart looks over at Xelan and rolls his eyes. "Pay no mind to the prankster, the mist is harmless."
[15:53:58] <Xelan> GW: kali noticed soemthing belowed the water, a dark shape swimming what seemed like too far below the river's bottom. Then she heard a single phrase inisde her head, 'Fooe', right before the shape shot up towards the surface and slashed at her face.
[15:55:38] Kali Kali dodges the slash as she yelps in surprise at the sudden motion. "GAH!"
[15:55:58] Jackal heard something, a splash of water, when he turned around and saw a... Thing slashing at Kali's face. He reacted instinctly, drawing his revolver and firing once at the creature.
[15:59:29] <Tabasquette> "Hmm...should I grenade the balls out of the water?"
[16:00:06] <Xelan> GW: The creature landed on the shore after it tried to attack Kali, the leathery skin appeared to be a type of cocoon as it covered the entire body. [16:01:30] Jackal 's eyes opened wide in shock. This was trippy. He reacted instinctly, drawing his revolver and firing twice at the creature. [50 AP]
[16:02:04] <Tabasquette> "Jump away guys, I'll nuke it!"
[16:03:50] Kali Kali quickly trots off away from the river incase there were more in the water and goes back to the group.
[16:04:43] Jackal 's eyes opened wide in shock. This was trippy. He reacted instinctly, drawing his revolver and firing twice at the creature. [50 AP]
[16:06:10] Jackal quickly moves out of the way the moment he heard the shots. [20 AP to GTFO]
[16:06:17] <Xelan> GW: Jackal's shots missed as he ran away.
[16:07:07] Tabasquette takes to the skies with a quick flap of her wings, jumping 22 yards away! She gives a kathunk kathunk of two grenades from her launcher! (15 AP to move, 60 for two shots)
[16:13:58] <Xelan> GW: A unearthly wail erupted from the creature's mouth area, it started to bleed from the shrapnel that entered it's body. The blood was a pure green ooze, that slowly leaked as it withered from the second blast from behind it.
[16:14:54] Jackal [[email protected]] has quit (Connection closed).
[16:16:12] <Xelan> GW: Jackal died via anerisam in the dream.
[16:18:02] Xelan jumped to her feet as she started running towards the creature with her sword drawn already, so she started stabbing at it and smiled as she aimed at the head. (15 AP to move, 25+18 for one aimed shot. 21 left over)
[16:20:24] <Xelan> GW: Xelan watched as her sword impaled the creature's head, going down to make sushi. The creatures seemed to scream at her more as it withered and died skwered upon her blade.
[16:21:37] Kali shouts "What in Tartarus's name was that thing?!" She looks at the remains in a disgusted fashion, still frazzled from the surprise attack.
[16:23:15] Xelan slowly pulled her blood covered sword out of the body with a squeal as aburst of blood covered her "I don't know, but I think we should avoid the river."
[16:23:29] Kickstart pulls out his scalpel. "Want me to perform an autopsy?"
[16:25:27] Xelan shrugs as she walks abck towards the group "Go ahead."
[16:25:44] Tabasquette stays floating in the air, like a pro.
[16:26:48] Kickstart cautiously approaches the corpse, keeping his eyes on the river. He proceeds to slice open the body cavity, unleashing a foul smell into the air. He gags, and proceeds to nope the fuck out of the autopsy.
[16:31:37] <Xelan> GW: The smell blasted his nostrils, it seemed the stomach fo the creature was explosive so when it was cut open. The creatures exploded in gore and flesh. Kick takes -39 to health. He was blasted back towards the water, where he suddenly felt five of the buckers grab him. They started to drag him into the water, he was unable to escape.
[16:34:10] Kali quickly goes to grab Kick from the grasps of the creatures, grips his forehooves and starts pulling.
[16:35:58] Tabasquette flies over to pull up on Kickstart.
[16:36:42] Xelan leapt over and grabbed Kick's hooves, aiming one strike to stab one away. (43 AP for aimed strike while helping)
[16:42:58] <Xelan> GW: The creatures scream the word 'FOOD!' In all their minds as Kick slips out of the mare's grasp and gets pulled down towards to bottom of the river at a quick pass. He has one chance to survive and break free to get to the surface.
[16:44:28] Kickstart struggles out of their grasp and bolts for the shore, running away from the river as fast as his legs can carry him.
[16:44:32] Tabasquette takes a big sweep of her wings and jumps a good 22 yards into the air, whipping out her grenade rifle as she sees kickstart writhe to the beach and start running.
[16:45:01] Xelan grabs Kali's hoof and starts running the toehr direction "Come on Kali!'
