  1. You recall waiting in the plush, red room. The head of a nine-point sawspuck stares as you with empty eyes from across the room, from its board above the fireplace.
  2. You shift restlessly in the soft velvet seat for almost an hour. You remember being rather annoyed; what could he possibly be doing that would cause you to wait this long? And HE called for YOU! With Orange Elixir coursing through you, it's hard to stay still, but you don't want to turn it off. You can't really handle it when time moves like molasses now.
  3. Eventually the door as the end of the hall opens up. A Sawk dressed in butler garb and sporting a monocle steps out, and gestures for you to step into the study. You leap up from your chair, and have to stop yourself from running in there.
  4. The study is plush, like the waiting room. Various portraits decorate the well, and there's a crackling fireplace in here as well. A kindly-looking older man waits for you here. He's rather portly and plup, and even with his neatly trimmed gray beard and moustache, he looks kind of like a walrus.
  5. He gestures for you to site down, and holds out a small bowl of candy towards you. You quickly snatch up a few, mostly so you have something to do while you get briefed.
  6. "Sorry for the wait, Agent Pisces. Agent Cancer called in to give her report. It seems Mr. Nuveri will have to be neutralized sooner than expected."
  7. "Gladly. I am your knife," you recall saying.
  8. The old man chuckles good naturedly. "Oh no, we can't hit him quite THIS soon! And I'm not sure you're up to the task even so, no offense. But I have something relatively simple for you to take care of."
  9. You nod.
  10. "Agent Cancer reports that Mr. Nuveri met and talked with some new trainers. The group that are going to set up the Errai Gym. I doubt he told them anything, but .. aah, he was reading IT in front of them. And what worries me more is that their manager ... Jin Wake ... a rather big unknown quantity here. So here's what I want you to do. Kill the manager, and get me a blood sample of each of the trainers. If they can be turned, they don't need to be eliminated. Agent Cancer says they're heading to Gallus City. Meet her there, and coordinate the attack."
  11. "As you wish, Sir."
  12. The man hands you a manilla folder full of papers.
  13. "Here's a printout of their league info. It's a little blurry, but it should be readable. Make sure to label the vials correctly."
  14. You nod.
  15. "Here."
  16. He hands you another envelope. "Orders for Agent Cancer. Be off then. The Elevator is available."
  17. You nod, and walk out of the study, through the waiting room, and down the hall. You come to an elevator that seems strangely out of place. You hit the button, and the elevator opens up.
  18. You step inside, and can see right away its not a normal elevator. It looks more like a cabin in a train, really. There's comforable seats, enough for a dozen people to sit comfortably, and two small card tables. There's a bar to the far side, with a small fridge nearby. No windows though.
  19. You turn to your left, and check the elevator buttons. There's a button for each of the major cities, instead of floors. You cut your finger, and press the "Gallus" button. As you do so, the bloody fingerprint fades away, and the elevator begins to humm with movment. You walk towards the bar, and serve yourself some orange soda.
  20. You spend the next hour drinking orange soda, and doing push-ups. Just to move around.
  21. Finally the elevator door opens up. You stand up, and step out.
  22. You're in a dim corridor.
  23. A young woman in a skin-tight black suit like your own is there; Agent Cancer. She has her Crawdaunt Mask on, as usual. You pull your own mask down. You wordlessly hand her the envelope you were given for her.
  24. "Thanks, Chadster. Let's se ... okay ... expected this ... oh, huh, I'm supposed to whack the girl already? Guess The Boss wants to send a message about appoint her behind his back. Luckily enough, she's in town, visiting YOUR targets! Fortunate, now?"
  25. "Hah! You handle her then, I'll handle the little trainers."
  26. She shakes her head. "No, the letter says I'm supposed to help you with Wake, and then we get the Flying girl together. "
  27. You shake your head. "Look, I don't need your help, these are just novice trainers. Who knows how long we might have to tail them? Then the flying girl will be long gone. Just go take care of the girl before she flies off, and I'll get the kids' babysitter."
  28. "Fine, just don't fuck it up. Your targets are with Mia right now ... tail them at least an hour out of town before you try anything. Alright?"
  29. You nod. "Fine, let's go."
  30. You walk down the dark corridor, coming to a door. You press the number code, 349, and the door opens up. You both step out into the sewer beyond, as the door comes down behind you, looking like just a segment of concrete.
  31. You and Agent Cancer go your separate ways, without a word. You take the route to the sewers that goes directly south, out of town. You step out into the forest, and wait for Agent Libra's little spy.
  32. Time passes, until finally a group of unown descends from the sky towards you. They form themselves into an arrow, and begin to lead you. You chase it quietly through the forest, and then you see your target, walking through the forest. Chumps.
  33. They stop for a minute to stare at a Deerling near you. Hehehe ...
