  1. Project #1: Driving in the Highway

  3. Your first project is to develop an autonomous vehicle that drives in the highway without leaving the roadway.

  5. The roadway is painted WHITE and the shoulders are identified by two solid BLACK lines (ONE ON EACH SIDE of the road). Your vehicle starts at the beginning of the road, and it will continue until it reaches the end of the road which is defined by either a road block (i.e. wall) or the roads turn color turns black.

  7. Once your vehicle starts driving, you cannot touch the car until it reaches the end of the road, or you are disqualified. If your vehicle drives over the shoulder, you are also disqualified. If your vehicle touches the shoulder, you get point deduction. You will have two chances to complete the task.
