Chaopan has always been clearly gay but simply didn't know himself. For everyone else around him it was already clear years before he came out of the closet.
He grew up in Daegu and was bullied for his feminine character and sexuality by a few assholes in his school but luckily for him 95% of his school were awesome people who supported him and stood up for him.
He studied mathematics and science in school and has a degree in biology and physics. But he had to sacrifice a lot of his time because he had to combine his studies with trainee years. It took him a lot of work and he had a few mental breakdowns because of it but the Appa and his best friends supported him having him make it anyways.
His parents support the lgbt community as if their life depends on it and were more than proud of their son when he came out. His younger brother acted a bit awkward and distanced around him the first months and Chaopan was scared he hated him but completely lost doubts when he found out Yeong Han (his brother) got in a fight with a homophobe who had called Chaopan a nasty faggot.

Caring and motherly. He's always taking care of his friends and younger brother and doesn't mind doing so. He's basically like a real mother to the other members and his best friend- who's the biggest chaotic goofball he knows- because he pampers them a lot and does a lot of their chores including making their lunches.
