Ami-Hoshi Sparring

"Sorry, Hoshi, I kind of forgot how to talk there for a minute, hehe... I'll go easy on you okay? We just need some practice for when we get to our first real Youma fight."

"A-alright, Ami. I need to test my magic, anyways."

A beam of coherent, searing light erupts form Ami's outstretched finger, and goes wide as Hoshi dodges. Hoshi scoots back away from her cousin. Hoshi aims her raygun, and fires a paralyzing beam at her cousin.

Hoshi uses a laser gun then she makes a tactical advance in the direction away from Ami.

Ami shudders under the paralyzing effects of the beam. "Ahh! What is this?" Ami removes the bond effect from herself, takes 1 heart OC "That was tricky, Hoshi!"

Ami uses her free move to move up! Ami makes a ranged attack! Another burst of light erupts from Ami's finger, searing at Hoshi's arm.

"Sorry Hoshi! Inari will fix that once we're done okay?"

"Oww!" Hoshi blinks back tears as she clutches her arm.

Ami places a reflector on herself for making a successful attack roll

Hoshi takes out a stun grenade and lobs it at her cousin with her good arm.

There's a flash of light and sound as Ami makes her advance. "Wha-" There is now a ringing in her ears, and she can only just barely see hoshi. Ami acquires the stunned status.

As her cousin reels from the effects of the grenade, Hoshi takes her raygun out of her hands and fires it at Ami!

Hoshi hits her maneuvering cousin, but part of the beam comes back at her and strikes her torso! Ami takes 4 damage, reflects 3 damage back to Hoshi.

"Structural Integrity at 56% and falling!"

Ami is hit by the weakened blast "Hm. I have a reflector..."

Hoshi clutches her wounded arm and retreats from Ami. "Maybe we should ease up a bit, Ami..."

"Sorry Hoshi, but we've got to practice if we want to be able to survive a youma!" Ami attempts to recover from stun. Ami blinks, and takes a moment to get her bearings again. The ringing is gone, and she can see. "Those Grenades will be useful, Hosh!"

"I-I hope so, Ami! ...That didn't hurt too much, right?"

Ami takes off at a run at Hoshi again, and points her rapier at Hoshi "Hopefully less than this Hoshi! Dodge!" Ami was beginning to enjoy herself with all this new power. Hopefully she could get Hoshi to come out of her shell, too. Ami makes a ranged attack. Ami fires a beam of light out of her rapier, missing by a mile as Hoshi carefully steps back. "Uh, right! Like that! Good!"

Hoshi leans back as a laser streaks by her nose, nearly singing it. Hoshi returns fire with her own beam attack.

Ami sees the incoming blast, and angles her rapier to intercept it, redirecting the beam away from her.

As she reflects the beam, a wave of energy travels down the rapier and Inflicts an Bleeding effect on Ami.

A thin, deep cut appears on Ami's abdomen "Urg. What?" Hoshi inflicts Bleed on Ami.

Hoshi scoots back as her effect hits, away from her now-bleeding cousin

"Ah! That's a lot of blood. Maybe I can stop the bleeding?" Ami activates regenerate. Gains 2 resolve per round. "Time to see how we are in a close fight!" Ami moves right up to Hoshi, the corner having allowed her to get in close, and attacks with her rapier.

Hoshi moves herself to the side, barely dodging a swipe from Ami's rapier.

Despite her best efforts, Hoshi gracefully arcs her body as the sword is brought forward to thrust. "You're good at this, Hoshi!"

"T-thanks, Ami"

Hoshi brings up a hypo, spraying Ami with a damaging concoction

*cough* "Hoshi, what was that?"

"...I'm pretty sure it was an attack..."
