Let me first say that every week I am enjoying your great show.

I would like to build a NAS server und Freebsd and ZFS. To avoid to setup wrongly the Harddrives setup, I wish to understand how ZFS deals with the internal write cache that some HD have (like WD Red).

Is is necessary to turn them off (for example in case of power failure)?

If yes how can this be turn off?
